  • This is how I removed the airbox flapper system on my WR250R, check out my next video for how I modified the airbox itself for more air in conjunction with my Power Commander V and FMF full exhaust.

Tee Jay yeah sorry man. Filmed this a few years ago on an old phone, and posted with an old computer. It’s a bit embarrassing but I figure the info is still useful.

I can confirm that it’s a time warp but nonetheless it’s still good information.

Just want to double check. You only need the vacuum cap to do this in terms of parts? Remove it all and cap it off at the throttle body. Tape over any electrical connections if any.

Jason Asunto yep that’s it man. Very easy. But I wouldn’t do this mod unless you also tune the ECU with a power commander or similar.

TravFlyer Moto and Airplane channel yeah, I have the powerbomb, powercore 4, power commander with ignition, and AIS removal already.

Would it not be easier to have just sealed off that final line of tubing? Bend the tubing and zip tie it so it stayed sealed off? Although I do appreciate the "doing it right" aspect of going all the way to the end and putting the vacuum cap on.

Noah Siano certainly could do it that way. I just wanted to do it right and forget about it. Plus, I wanted to remove the tube for maximum weight reduction hahahaha
