    Bocelli isn't a pop singer. He is a tenor and one of the greatest singers of all time

    Его красивый и могучий голос позволяет выразить так тонко и такую палитру чувств, что все переживаешь вместе ним. Спасибо.

    what a techinique to sing this song! others sing with power, bocelli really knows how to make it sound like a lament. the way he goes up and hi so softly and with such breath control!

    You are so right, luixander19! Andrea Bocelli has the perfect voice for a lament - so much feeling, the exquisite way he softens his voice for the saddest parts. You can just feel the despair, the pain by the way he phrases the song. Bravo!

    yeah thats what i meant.. i was replaying to francocerri who was saying bocelli doesnt have volume or power to sing opera.... i've never heard a version more peaceful then this one.. what a performance

  • @Optimus164
    @Optimus164 Před 16 lety

    for opera snobs:
    i've heard this aria by bjorling, corelli, pavarotti, mario del monaco, di stefano, and m any other of the really experience opera and best voices of all times.
    but i've never been so moved as much as this rendition i must admit. althogh bocelli doesnt have such a powerful voice, he sure makes it sound like a lament! why? cuz hes got an angelical voice, who cares about the technique when you hear something that feeds your soul?

  • @Optimus164
    @Optimus164 Před 16 lety

    another thing:
    most pastors say that the more they preach the harder becomes for them to really listen and enjoy the preaching of other pastors, why? simple, as the pastor preaches they are thinking more of how they would say things and how so it sounds better rather then pay real atention and recieve the message being told.
    knowledge can sometimes blind us making us not able to enjoy what was meant to be a bless and to be enjoyed.. :P

    that applies in this case. such a beautiful voice is sadly not being enjoyed because we spect it to be a way that it is not.
    if cant enjoy it , why bother to listen to it?

  • @Shamsithaca
    @Shamsithaca Před 13 lety

    @Buzaglod excuse me, with all do respect, what he is doing without he help of his eyes but his voice...he is opening the doors of opera to the regular public, that it self is a great feat, let alone sing infront of thousands. If however, you do sing better and to more people then i and everyone else here and there would at least expect a bit of humbleness.

  • @Optimus164
    @Optimus164 Před 17 lety

    what in the world are you talking out? if ppl just say "booo" to him.. why do they keep asking him to sing? it doesnt make sence.. ok its true bocellis voice is too thin for most of the roles in opera, but he sings it perfectly! with a mocrophone ofcourse:) (like this performance) he sounds amazing

  • @kimpag647
    @kimpag647 Před 13 lety

    @Buzaglod its about lament..geez sorrow, sadness..not anger

  • @jorgemadera
    @jorgemadera Před 16 lety

    Anybody has heard Mario Lanza singing this aria?. It is a very dramatic Aria. Cilea (his author) dreamed in that way. It is not a matter to be angry by that. It is only the true.

    lol well guess what? this song was made for a voice like his! you dont need any power at all for this song! you find the beauty on this song on the low registries and boceeli does it so good!

    i think pavarotti had a more powerful voice but bocelli's color voice is more beautiful.

  • @carolina1954
    @carolina1954 Před 17 lety

    That is not true, about people saying "booooo" in Italian theatres. Or any other theatre.
    Bocelli will never be as loud as Pavarotti, that is true.
    They are different, and both are great and that is true :o))

    I am not suprised to hear that he is not celebrated in Italy. He is a mere commercial product much like Sarah Brightman or Paul Potts.
    I am in no way denegrating his musicality or voice; he just shouldn't sing Opera, operetta or anything that hints at a classical background.

  • @GerardSchneiderTenor
    @GerardSchneiderTenor Před 16 lety

    I merely state that he doesn't allow his voice to carry all the way to his sounding board. Take :45 for example he opens his mouth while singing the first note of "E S'addor mi" - this is a fault. He uses his jaw to form vowels and consonants - he should use his tongue on most.
    These faults among others aside, he has a marvellous voice. I do feel that he is singing material that is not in his fach however. He should stay away from the heavier roles such as Canio in Pagliacci, which he murdered.

  • @raulpierri
    @raulpierri Před 16 lety

    What? Pavarotti is a real opera tenor. Bocelli is a pop singer trying to sing opera arias. He's not a real opera singer. Please, listen to Corelli, Björling, Domingo, Carreras, Pavarotti, Di Stefano, and many more...

    Bad!! Agudos espremidos, tecnica defeituosa.
    Muito ruim.

  • @GerardSchneiderTenor
    @GerardSchneiderTenor Před 16 lety +1

    No note is higher? There are numerous works in which a tenor must work above a C5; 'I Puritani', for example, has F5's.
    Bocelli doesn't have a strong voice. He is a novelty, much the same as potts. He swallows tone, doesn't possess even the most rudimentary knowledge of sound production, and relies on piano passages.
    By the way, he obviously possesses little musicality as he not only disregards the triplet rhythm of the verse and all but ignores dynamic quality. A poor singer.
