Thank you so much for all you do and help us. I tested 5.7 last week. In March I changed my diet, getting rid of most of the breads, pasta and watching my sugar intake. I have lost 30 lbs. and 4 inches around my waist. I have my A1c tested every 4 months. My triglyserides have always been at a great level. I am 74 years old and have noticed a huge change in my 70's. I have to watch everything a lot closer than when I was younger. I do walk 2-3 miles every morning. And lift free weights at least 4 days a week. Still working on that pesky A1c though.

Hi my A1c is constantly stuck at 7.2 and I’m frustrated. I’ve had diabetes nearly 40 years and am battling severe sleep apnea which has made me obese because my body can’t sleep or repair correctly. I have an annoying condition of being always hungry. And I admit it’s my eating out of turn that contributes to my elevated blood sugars most of the time. Im getting my tonsils out early October and hope that cures my obstructive sleep apnea and I do plan on attacking my weight then. I did have my A1c down to 6.8 for 5 months with aggressive insulin therapy. I know I need to get back to that I’m just stuck in some bad habits like you said being often hungry due up the fact I never get good sleep which really does add fuel to the fire. Thank you

I have been a huge fan since finding you a few years ago. Because of you, I started on Berberine and saw so much success. Thank you! I've had fasting blood sugar taken every 3 months with regular blood work. Because of you, I had my A1c also taken and I stopped the Berberine for a month beforehand. WOW! My fasting glucose was 98 but my A1c is 5.9. This cannot happen. I am nearing 60 and was always very healthy until becoming disabled a decade ago. I cannot walk far and trying to find some kind of aerobic activity is hard. Right now, our heat index is 105 and we are staying in. I've restarted Berberine, drinking a ton of water and trying out these ways to try to lower it. I will do the 12/12 fasting, I also have cortisol issues right now, eating protein and working on non starchy veggies. Anything else you can think of that might help?

Please use the Numbers for "Normal People" An A1c of 5.2 is still an average blood sugar of 103mg/dl.
The World Health organization says "The expected values for normal fasting blood glucose concentration are between 70 mg/dL (3.9 mmol/L) and 100 mg/dL (5.6 mmol/L). When fasting blood glucose is between 100 to 125 mg/dL (5.6 to 6.9 mmol/L) changes in lifestyle and monitoring glycemia are recommended."
Optimal would be 70-100mg/dl. The 5.2 to 5.6% A1c is only normal once you've been diagnosed with diabetes!!!

Hello! I just read an article that said sage helps with insulin resistance. Have you learned anything about that? Is this true?

Well of course fasting blood sugar will be higher after few hours of sleep than longer hours. Fasting time is much smaller...
I just wonder why don´t you recommend to drop carbs down. Low carb diet helps most. If you want faster results than keto or carnivore will work the best.
I reversed my insuline resistanse with keto in three months. And the numbers were idealic. Just ditch the carbs and you´ll gain more health benefits that you can ever guess.
I´ve been over 16 months on keto and it is a heslthy lifestyle for me, not just quick diet.

HbA1c should not be used to diagnose diabetes, but it can be used to monitor and track known diabetes.

There are some researches that say intermittent fasting can lead to higher cardiovascular diseases.. Is it true?

Overwhelmingly the evidence points to it being beneficial for heart health. One study means nothing if it cannot be replicated.

If I am intermittent fasting and usually end my eating window at 6:00 pm, won't a bedtime dose of ACV break it? How do I get around that what is 30 G?
