Is it time to service, replace, or flush the coolant in your car or truck? In this video, Andy shows you how to drain and refill the coolant in your car or truck, and gives you tips, and details you won't want to miss! Coolant, or antifreeze, is an important element of a healthy and efficient engine. Old coolant can get sludgy, and clog coolant passages in the engine block, heater core, thermostat and radiator. Worn or weakened antifreeze will lose low temperature protection. Protect your car or truck by replacing or flushing the coolant at the interval specified in your vehicle's manual, or when inspection shows signs of wear!

You didn't talk about burping the system. Or what to do if you trap air in the system.👌
@5:33 I would also turn the heat on inside the car to run some of the new coolant through the heater core.
Great video dude!
I've used a shop vacuum to suck more coolant out of the engine block, works great, just disconnect both the upper and lower hoses to get the most out.
Awesome video , thanks alot 👍💯
Is it good use upgrade antifreeze and coolant additives
Why can’t you use something like prestone all vehicle coolant? Many makers not just Prestone
Hi! Does it a coolant system or otherwise a cooling system? Please, be kind enough to explain it to me. Thank you so much.
How to do 100% system coolant flush?
My Audi used to run with red coolant but I found that there are some coolants that say are compatible with all vehicles and supposedly better- I believe it's referred to as HOAT. What's your take on that?
The coolant I used: Prestone All Vehicles - 10yr/300k mi
Stick with red. Those "for all vehicles" coolant lake specific chemicals unique for your cooling systems performance.
Link to your fluid extraction pump in description would be a bonus.
Good video 👍
A turkey baster? 😂
What is the squealing noise after changing the antifreeze in my car
You got some fluid on the serpentine belt
I have a 97 Chevy s10 4cyl 5 spd, and I want to put a automatic transmission in it but don’t know what one to get.
Hi Andy,
What are the consequences of having an overfilled degas bottle?
I own a fiesta, and I mistakenly filled the degas bottle to the max line while the engine was cold.
This bottle is, obviously pressurized and the level was about a quarter of an inch above the max line at normal operating temperature.
Would this oversight cause engine damage?
Never use the plastic tap to drain the rad if it cracks when turning then it's going to be a bad day.
this is the best advice, I never touch those radiator drain valves, it's best to remove the lower radiator hose. As proof Andy didn't try opening the one up on the truck in the video, he knew better haha
Should have done a more indepth video about the flushing of the system
Then make one?
My car is making a squealing noise after the antifreeze been changed
Sieve the coolant 😆
Just wanted to say for others watching who don't know, in addition to recycling centers taking the used coolant, most big box auto parts stores also take fluids like this!
No they dont
Why not show us then just talk
The video was not that good it missed some stuff he could done better .............
+Querry Mejia Thanks for the feedback!
