Did you check the compression of that cylinder ,?
    I suspicion a stuck ring.
Did you check the crankcase seals for leaks ?

The TPS is a safety measure. I personally like all of my features (safety and convenience) working properly. Its up to you to unplug and keep it unplugged but for being so easy to cleanup and repair, I would suggest spending the time to fix it like I did. Using the carbon conductive grease will avoid anymore corrosion while keeping optimal contact. The manfacturers should have used this from the beginning. But non have.

HI, Gre stuff. my 99 Arctic Cat ZR 600 EFI died on the trail after blowing my lights.
was told the bulbs blew because my voltage regulator went bad, (blew all my bulbs).
    replaced it and them.
still no start but lights flash on pull.
could it have damaged my fuel pump? ( i am smelling gas when pulling)
    Any suggestions?

      @Fixin2Ride-Official-  Před 2 lety

Sorry for late response I forgot to reply to this. Yes was definitely the voltage regulator. All your plugs and see if you have spark or if the plugs are wet. If the plugs are wet and it seems like your fuel pump is working and you might not have spark. If you have spark in your plugs are dry then you might not be getting fuel. Check and see if you have any fuses that are blown if your slide has fuses

You adjust the float height. Which you do by cardfully bending the small tab in the moddle. Hold the carb sideways. You want to float to fall intonpositiom which is typically going to make the float sit parallel to the carb bowl mounting surface.

    Andrew, hi.
I watched your video I don't quite understand what the problem is? The problem is that one cylinder is working then not working? It is necessary to solve according to the algorithm. I'll tell you how I do it. The cylinder may not work for a reason. No pressure, no fuel, no spark. Incorrect spark supply( it will work but not well)
    So.
    1. Pressure. The compression should have been checked first. If the compression is normal, then the reason is not the pressure.
    2. Fuel. We unscrew the candles and look. if the candles are wet, then the fuel is coming. If the candles are dry, then the fuel does not arrive and the problem lies in the fuel supply system.
    3. Ignition. We take the cap from the candle. we insert a candle in it and put it on top of the engine. Launch and watch. It will be perfectly visible( especially if you are in the garage or if you do it in the evening at dusk) as a spark breaks through the spark gap on the candle. Since you did it, it's better not to do it. due to the long distance, a spark breakdown may occur. And then you can break a block of SDI . And if you put a candle on the mass of the engine or housing, the spark will only be between the electrodes of the candle. And so. if there is no spark, the problem is in the ignition system. either in the candle itself (we can insert another one and compare it) or in the coil or in the SDI block.
And now consider the case of the wrong feed.
3.0 incorrect feed the spark. The engine will be unstable. There will be bangs and gunshots.
    Incorrect fuel supply
2.0 Incorrect fuel supply. The engine can also only operate in certain modes. To smoke . do not gain momentum. That's why you can't spin the engine. because one cylinder is running and spends energy compressing the air in the second cylinder which is not running.
2.1 . There can be a lot of fuel. Then the spark cannot ignite the mixture. But the candle will be wet! Have you checked how your injectors work? Have you watched them spray? A candle can only ignite a mist of fuel. Sometimes the nozzle does not spray but gives a jet (we say "the nozzle pisses"). In this case, the resistance of the nozzle coil will be good. but due to the wear of the nozzle or wedging of the nozzle stem, the spray will be wrong!
2.2 The opening time of the nozzle also affects the amount of fuel. If the time is delayed, then there will be a lot of fuel and it will not burn properly again. That's why I LOVE THE GOOD OLD CARBURETORS! THEY ARE EASIER TO UNDERSTAND ha ha ha
    Management.
1.1. The SDI unit may give incorrect signals for both ignition and fuel supply. There can be many reasons. for example, a transaction that is bent. And has bad contact. The coil may also not work correctly. you only measured the resistance between the caps! Measure between the cap and the mass. Between the cap and the low voltage wire. Possible breakdown of the coil. The mute button should not affect the operation. More precisely, it will affect the operation of BOTH cylinders. The button cannot affect the operation of only ONE cylinder. It simply gives a signal to the SDI unit to stop the ignition supply! But the ignition signal goes from the SDI unit to BOTH CYLINDERS , not to each one separately. Possible. when you were disassembling the panel, you moved some wire or contact and so it worked. I don't have a map or description of your snowmobile. if I had more data, I would tell you more precisely what is the reason that the cylinder does not work.
