Hi. Unfortunately your filter is facing the wrong direction.

It is actually a wrong direction? These filters should have an arrow that indicates the direction of the flow.

@@tmmyjay You may be correct if that filter connected to the anti- siphon valve is a “disc” filter. After a ton of research and completely wasting my evening on this, I found the angle of the filter depends on the type of filter (screen vs disc). The common consumer irrigation filters you see in a general hardware store are screen filters. Screens are easier to clean, less expensive, and can filter solids and silt which the Disc cannot. But screens are not as efficient as the Disc filter at cleaning bacteria, algae and sludge. The Disc filters are more expensive, more time consuming to clean. If you are using city water, screen filters are the way to go. Also:
Screen filters: the filter angles 45degrees from the flow of water.
Disc filters: the filter angles backwards or 135 degrees from the flow of water. An arrow should be on the filter for the direction of the water. If the filter on this video is a disc filter, then it is correctly installed. Also, you can save 15% if you switch to Geico. 😆

This Netafim filter is on correctly, just designed so it doesn't look intuitive. other filters face the opposite direction, look for the arrow

    The best filter is Amiad.

Thanks for posting this video. The process for cleaning these filters is straight forward?

@@alexandermearle Screen filters are simple. Just unscrew and rinse out screen. My advice Is to buy a metal screen and not a plastic one which tend to break. The disc filters will take more time to clean since you will need to scrub them in water to remove the filth in between all the discs. If you are using city water, screen filters will always work and are less expensive than Disc filters. Disc filters are effective for removing sludge, bacteria and slime … in other words, use a disc filter if you are pulling water from a dirty well or from a reservoir pond.
