Let's be honest. Lycanroc's biggest weakness was Ash letting it go like he always does to his pokemon
The Tapu pokémon are described as "Capricious" and doing things simply because they feel like it. So it makes sense for Tapu Lele to do those things

The reason hes like this is because Dusk Lycanroc has both aspects of both forms. The aggression of the Midnight form, and loyalty of the Midday form. Yet, it also makes it more powerful. Considering the Midday is moreso focused on speed, and Midnight on attack. For some. Reason the red eyes also makes it more powerful?? Pokemon logic ig
