I still remember Squirtle Squad was the first episode I ever saw. Back in 98
Charmanders origin story still brings a tear to my eyes 28 years later😥 how he was afraid to never show weakness because of his trauma which is why he was so dis obedient 😔 and even in the A.U movie "I Choose you" where Charmander runs back to hug his trainer and the guy just kicks him into the mud broke my heart 🙏 the look of betrayal on Charmanders face🥺

As being day 1 Pokemon fan I always wanted to see Ash's Bulbasaur and Squirtle getting evolved into final forms and Ash's achieving a major achievement with his original Kanto Team... I know they gave us Orange Island Championship and Battle Frontier but still they were kinda spin-off thingies... I mean he could win a region championship or something with them.

i was watching a streamer playing a Pokemon rom hack last night and there was this douchy kid in the game named damien lol
The og series was definitely the best, as it had most emotions, most mysteries that are still unsolved and it was the most iconic as well. Also Pokemon was a completely new concept at that time, so everything felt new.

In Pokémon the Movie 20: I Choose You, Ho-Oh dropped the Rainbow Wing and chose Ash to be “The Rainbow Hero” after Pikachu electrocuted the Spearow. He also battles Ho-Oh off screen at the end but it doesn’t say if he won or not.
Personally I think he won because he and Pikachu were smiling during their Nurse Joy visit.

The personalities are based on type. Bublasaur is about nurturing and growth. Charizard is fiery and driven. Squirtle is cool and versatile/ adaptable.

I has a Fire Red emulator and had two files. One tank of a Blastoise, and the other a beefy Charmelion. I never liked Charizard and though the middle evolution was the coolest of that pokemon
