    Patrick Williams shot 51% from 3 last year. Shooting has never been a flaw in his game. It was just the fact that he was only being used as a 3&D wing that only shot spot up 3s. He starteed the season ice cold from 3, but he has been on fire since then and his numbers went back above 40%- which is his career average. He was shooting nearly 55% from 3 in his rookie season before he hit the rookie wall and went cold as the season ended.
    The only difference now is that zach lavine is out and he gets to handle the ball more often and you see him taking shots he's used to taking and creating for himself off the dribble. Patrick rarely handled the ball with the intent to actually score when zach was playing.
    Patrick williams was, and is one of the best 3&D wings in the nba for the last 3 season, but no one wants to give him his credit for that. They just fixate on the fact that he isnt scoring 20ppg like a 4th overall pick should. But that was always a flawed lense to view him through. I think his ceiling might be 18ppg and like 6 rebounds and 3 ast per game. I think he will give you some 2nd Team All-Defense performances every year and be a great starting sf/pf on a winning team and act as a 3rd or 4th option.

      He has a slow release and also he shoots on low volume. I don’t think anyone ever said anything about his shooting though.

      @user-nn6ow3xt5o I just didn't like the way the video fixated on his shooting as if he couldn't shoot until this year. He has always been a very good shooter from 3. And yea, it's a slow release and low volume. But he is making the shots he takes. And that's all you can judge by honestly...

      18 and 6? No way. Probably more like 12 and 4. The Bulls will let him test free agency so that reality will set in. He isn't elite and doesn't deserve max pay.

      Absolutely, Patrick Williams can be an all-star one day. It just depends on how much more he continues to grow & develop his game. And if Billy Donovan or a new Head Coach finally learns how to properly utilize Patrick Williams in the right way for the Bulls to win more games.

    Any young team with money to spend should try to sign him. Hes an unrestricted free agent. Teams like detroit, spurs or maybe some teams with hopes of contending tryna find a wing. This guy is full of potential.

    Not a viable starter, low IQ team defender and has no 3 pt volume. He can defend 3-4 one on one well but rotates poorly and doesn’t anticipate passing lanes well. Really only hits 3s that are the absolute widest open. Doesn’t run off screens well, still a low level cutter 90% of the time.

  • @coreycokepolk9483
    @coreycokepolk9483 Před 8 měsíci +1

    PWILL has not lived up to his #4 overall pick. Thats why he hasn't received an extension yet. Most of the top 10 in his draft have already been extending. Dude is a role player at best.

      Coldest take ever. Try watching some games and having a fundamental understanding of basketball. You think a guy is going to average 20 with three bums with a total 75% usage rate? No chance.

      theres numerous examples of this in the nba. you dont draft #1s to winning teams dude. you draft them to rebuilding franchises who are looking to compete in 4-5 years lmao. almost noone is even a fringe allstar out of the gate. Being drafted during covid, an injury in year 2, and to a team with 3 perennial veteran allstars as options ahead of him has slowed the growth of what is already a raw project player

    He is still a bust , This is his fourth season and he is barely averaging 10 points per game

    • @user-vv1qg8tl8c
      @user-vv1qg8tl8c Před 8 měsíci

      well at least he still averaging 10 point and playing defense(he's a plus defender even without caruso on the court with him). its hard for to score more than 10 when he has 3 offensive minded former all stars who barely plays defense consistently each game and barely passes the ball when they decided to score and guards like ayo and coby who will surely look to score and handle the ball most of the time. if you watch his college highlights he's more comfortable playing inside using his midrange jumper back door cuts and putback dunks unlike in chicago he's playing more of a 3 & D player. in my own opinion what's more unacceptable about patrick williams is not averaging over 5+ rebounds a game, he runs towards opposite side of the court not boxing out or grab offensive board(heck some scouting reports tells he's good at offensive rebounds).

    • @Al3x0325
      @Al3x0325 Před 8 měsíci

      that isnt a bust? lmao for one his first season was covid and his second he missed because of injury. youre an idiot if you label a 22 year old player averaging 10 a game as a 4th option a bust

      @rickDArula Před 8 měsíci

      Who are you to call him a bust? You're not a basketball guy if you think so.
