The fact that this has been up since 2013 and it doesnt have over a million views in 2020 is mind blowing.
It's now 2024 and the video is at 938k! I must have listened to it 100 times myself.
the best thing about shakey graves is the amazing variety he can give the same song in different performances. his live recordings sound nothing like his albums, and every one is unique. best folk artist around.

The problem is that he does it so much all of his songs end up sounding the same.
Both shakey and the tallest man on earth are great, but in my opinion the greatest folk artist is a title held by "the suitcase junket" he isnt very famous but i think he should be. Look him up and tell your friends.

I listen to this when I'm happy, pissed off, ecstatic, anxious, nervous, or desperate. I listen to it on road trips, on my way home from school, before sports. Built To Roam is awesome along with Alejandro

I don't know how many times I've viewed this video. The "Live In Lubbock" set is amazing. My fav versions of a few of his songs are from that set.

We did something different in Lubbock, usually we just record with the bands and you get to see the videos eventually. In Lubbock we had every band play at the Blue Light throughout the week and then we would record these videos with them the next day. So normally I would say you couldn't have seen them anyways since it's normally just band and crew, but in your case you really could have. We may come back, but we'll try and make sure you hear about it this time!
I was listening to some Shovels and Rope on here and it led me to these videos. Man... this guy is just awesome! Another in a long, long line of great Texas songwriters. And just a great video... great production... I've got to get down to Texas!
