    WHAT IS TALK HEATHEN?
Talk Heathen is a weekly call-in television show in Austin, Texas geared toward long-form and on-going dialogue with theists & atheists about religion, theism, & secularism. Talk Heathen is produced by the Atheist Community of Austin.
Talk Heathen is filmed in front of a live studio audience every week at the Freethought Library of the Atheist Community of Austin.
The Atheist Community of Austin is organized as a nonprofit educational corporation to develop & support the atheist community, to provide opportunities for socializing & friendship, to promote secular viewpoints, to encourage positive atheist culture, to defend the first amendment principle of government-religion separation, to oppose discrimination against atheists & to work with other organizations in pursuit of common goals.
We define atheism as the lack of belief in gods. This definition also encompasses what most people call agnosticism.

    That was a great conversation/answer.
tbh tho, i am often tempted to defend Satan (the serpent anyways, who didn't lie at all) and go as far as saying according to some agnostic gospels the serpent was actually Jebus, who was NOT the son of the old testament maniac gawd (source: gospel of Judas). probably a wrong strategy, but nevertheless pretty fun!

Well, thinking you're influenced by Satan is how theists commonly explain why atheists are atheists. Some may just fall back on that if you "struck a nerve", but many sincerely think that's the reason, and that pointing that out is the best way to convince an atheist.
Taking a break helps with the former problem, but it does nothing about the latter problem. For the latter problem, I'd suggest trying to get them to take a step back, and see that this would not be true if Satan does not exist (or just dig into why they believe that). And certainly it's good to draw attention to the fact that it's good to ask questions, and you should be extra skeptical when someone tells you you shouldn't.

Saying "i am not a devil" is what the devil would say, but it is also what EVERYONE ELSE would say, when accused of being a devil. In other words, i think it is not suspicious at all. I would even argue that NOT denying that you are devil is even more suspicious, because it is devilishly dishonest to change the subject like that and avoiding to answer directly.
(Third option is to sarcasticaly admit "Yes, i obviously am the devil, how smart of you to figure it out and tell me that fact.". But isnt sarcasm also a bit devilish? And wouldnt they view it as you sincerely admitting who you are because of being so proud/prideful to brag about yourself? They probably would... so that is not a good option.)

They use Satan in the inverse way they use God. If it's good, it's god, if it's bad it's satan. Christians hate the word "accountability" and would rather blame the otherwordly shadow people instead of admitting why they embezzle church donations

    You don't.
Satan is a function of theism. If you are a satanist you are not an atheist you are following a theistic alternative and are a theist who favours Satan over god.
