he’s generally considered a slower starter, the consensus is that he’s a slow burner, su here is the opposite (one of my favorite sprinters)

Not the official 60m wr that is held by Christian Coleman in 6.34 seconds. This was a split during a semi final 100m race at the 2021 Olympics in Tokyo
Even better at 6.29. A split time off the blocks isnt dupposed to ne faster than the official but it is.

@@GKsprints "Typically"?? Split times are usually only faster in the 2nd half not first half. Like within the 200 m dash, the 2nd 100 m split is usually faster because you are already moving. But the first 60 m split where you get out of the blocks the same way, are almost never faster, especially when you have another 40 m to go & you're not leaning in at 60 m. The only benefit would be tailwind which does help but any athlete could have ran the record in any 100 m aswell & the wind was within legal limit. It's still the fastest 60 m was ever covered within legal wind despite indoors have zero wind.

Shorter people have a better burst of energy due to a compact frame. He can go faster, but not for long.
It’s not due to their frame but moreso the length of their legs, they take shorter but quicker strides which allows for good acceleration but near the end those with longer legs decelerate slower resulting in the gap decreasing
@@justapunpunpfp3982 u talk big shit, people with short leg have better acceleration but people with longer legs have a better max speed. Chinese guy doesnt decelerate, he just can't accelerate anymore.

@@Tate525 No, one other chinese guy & 3 full blood japanese have ran under 10 seconds. Making 5 full Asians that have broken 10 sec barrier. I dont count Sani Brown from Japan because he's Blasian. There's actually more Asians running under 10 sec than whites. Here are their names: Su Bingtian, Zhenye Xie, Royota Yamagata, Yoshihide Kiryu, & Yuki Koike. And 2 other Asians got 10 flat. It's crazy, Michael Norman is also half Japanese & he had the record for fastest indoor 400 m just until this month it was broken, Japanese have the most Asians with sprinting prowess even tho being low in population with declining youth & birthrates. China is 2nd best but they have alot more people.

Excuse my ignorance but the stopwatch is in thirtieths so his time would be 6.97 seconds, this in theory is not the fastest 60 ever, am i missing something?

I grew up in north Alabama. I remember watching Houston McTear run a low 6 60 yard dash when I was a freshman. I have his auto graph somewhere. I thought that was fast for indoors at Middle Tenn State University.

In the 90s the Chinese women distance runners pretty good in Europe. Then in one meet. They destroyed the 1500 and 5000 world records. Their top 10k runner BROKE the 3000 meter world record during the 10k! And they did their own drug testing. Just saying.

@@JimboJonas Put Coleman next to Su in this race I'm confident Coleman will lose. His WR 6.34 was run on over 5000 ft altitude. Su's 6.29 was on sea level with minimal altitude. By Mureika calculation, Su's 6.29 on 5216 ft altitude would translate to a 6.25. That's almost 0.1 second faster than Coleman in such a short distance, absolutely crazy and not even close.

I’m only taking about THIS 6.29 race--there is no way in hell Coleman, even in his best condition, can beat Su. If Coleman didn’t get banned in 2021 and get to compete in Olympics, he will get rolled by Su in the first 60m just like anybody else. Remember who was Su running against in that race: Marcel Jacobs who was the 60m indoor world championship and Ronnie Baker the third fastest man in 60m indoor ever. They got absolutely blown away…
