    First published in 1857 “Lorena” became a soldier’s favorite for both armies, North and South during the American Civil War. The lyrics were written by Rev. Henry D. L. Webster and the music composed by Joseph Philbrick Webster. The song and this scene are featured in the film, “The Road to Valhalla.”
