My Ukranian friends came from rural areas- we had a lot in common, I grew up around farming/rural life. Watching videos like this pretty much affirms that we all live under the same sun/moon and our lives are very similar. This reminds me of our first apartment together when my wife and I were newlyweds- it was tiny, we had cheap appliances, plaster falling off the walls, and only one window air conditioner for the whole one bedroom apartment. We were two broke college kids, but we have some of our best memories from those days 25 years ago:-)

Mentioning Ukraine like it is synonymous with or a part of Russia would be like calling a Republican a Democrat in the US. The Ukraine is its own distinct country with its own distinct culture, history and values. Breaking free of the Soviet regime and fighting for its independence from Russia just to be discussed like being Russia's offshoot well with the people. Russians are Russians and Ukrainians are Ukrainians. The Ukrainian people deserve that respect.

    Love your videos.
I enjoy learning about your culture.
In the USA, the preservation of fruits and vegetables in glass jars is called "canning".
My family have preserved food from our garden & orchard for many generations.

    Hi from Canada!
My mom's family is Ukrainian so it's coo to see different parts of the country where my relatives live or came from. It's crazy how there are so many places that modern technology hasn't taken over yet, but you still see things like Mac Books and smart phones.
Thanks for all of your awesome videos. I came upon one of your videos by accident and am now watching them all. Likes on all and have subscribers to your channel!
By the way, we don't say "preservations" We call them "preservatives" or "preserves" in every day conversations 😉

It would be great if you could take us on a tour of your churches where it's possible to video. Thank you for opening the doors to your world. :)

My samovar has been very useful at times eg when my water heating system broke down for 2wks we took it upstairs to fill the bath with hot water My samovar along with my grandmothers and mothers tea pots tea are also the pride of my kitchen . Thank you for showing

@@pavlofromukraine It'd be cool to see the process your mom uses for preserving in those large jars. My assumption is that it involves boiling water and a pot without a cover but i am curious if it is something more involved.
