- Le Mans Ultimate, the official game of the FIA World Endurance Championship and 24 Hours of Le Mans is excited to reveal the first Downloadable Content (DLC) Pack goes on sale on Tuesday 23rd July. Included in the first drop will be the drivers favourite Autodromo Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari (Imola Circuit) as well as the Lamborghini SC63 and 2024 Peugeot 9X8 which made its competitive debut at the Emilia-Romagna circuit creating an Italian flavoured pack fit for the Tifosi. The first pack will form one quarter of the 2024 DLC Season Pass, which will also offer further exciting content over the coming months - with a notable overall saving.
The 2024 FIA WEC season and recent 24 Hours of Le Mans have gripped the motorsport world, with four different teams taking victory on the opening four rounds - including back-to-back victories for Ferrari at the fabled 24 Hours of Le Mans. As the season enters the second half, Le Mans Ultimate is excited to showcase the new 2024 content from the thrilling season, as asked for by the community, with the first pack and complete Season Pass on sale later this month.
The European summer hots up with two Hypercars ready to do battle at the Autodromo Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari (Imola Circuit). Imola received an enormous crowd back in April, with over 70,000 fans across the three days when the FIA WEC visited in the Spring. Such was its popularity, the undulating circuit nestled in northern Italy will become a permanent feature on future calendars for the next four years - making it a sportscar racing fixture for fans for years to come.
The striking and beautiful Lamborghini SC63 from the stable of the raging bull is a car built with the Italian flair and passion - taking on some of the biggest manufacturers in the world including Toyota, Porsche and Ferrari. It’s 3.8-litre V8 packs a punch, and its exhaust note is one to stir the emotion of any motorsport fan.
Facing the Lamborghini is the might from Peugeot. Imola was chosen by the French manufacturer to debut the all-new, 2024 evolution of its 9X8 Hypercar, with its aggressive and purposeful looks, the fearless lion ran strongly against its regular sparing partners on its debut back in April.
The Italian inspired pack will be available to purchase at an early access price via Steam for just £9.99 / €11.99 / $12.99 on the 23rd July as well as the content filled 2024 Season Pass.
The 2024 DLC Season Pass will be your access all areas to the current season and will enable you to download the latest content the minute it is ready to be brought into the game. Priced at just £39.99 / €46.99 / $49.99, the pass will offer a saving of almost 25% compared to purchasing all four packs individually. The 2024 Season Pass will bundle together all four packs, which will include four new Hypercars, four iconic circuits and seven of the closely matched GT3 cars in larger packs towards the end of the schedule.
Sim racers will be able to wishlist the first pack on Steam ahead of going on sale later this month. Those not yet on the grid can take advantage of the introductory Early Access game price of £24.99 / €29.99 / $32.99. The game features all of the Hypercars and circuits from the 2023 Centenary season as well as the classic LMP2 and GTE cars. Those already clocking the hours can also download the 2024 BMW M HybridV8 Hypercar for free via Steam today.

Pricing DLC for an unfinished game at the same rate as a fully released game is absolutely wild.
Then don't buy it.
@@aarongreen121support this shady approach then you will get even more shitty half finished game in future
@@terrylu4894 So you expect the developers to work for free? To release the full 2024 season content for free? Most wild thing is most people that complain play iRacing, which gives you only 2 tracks for almost 50€...
they’ll learn when this game goes the same route as their last. i get it from both sides. the work has to be sustained the devs need to be paid for it to continue. but the main piece should be establishing a dedicated player base. so that more people want to join and know that at anytime they’ll be full race lobbies
The game is unfinished, the content in the DLC is finished and high quality. You'll still pay three times less than on iRacing and get more realistic and exclusive hypercars.
Can we get a game that actually functions properly at least 90% of the time before adding dlc that will break the game further?
Sounds like a you problem? I've never had a single issue yet, 100s of hours playing.
@Simongtt a lot of people have problems. The game itself has problems lol. Even the servers have issues here and there. Like classic rafctor2 bugs and etc.
(You not having a problem doesn't mean there aren't any.)
Yer unplayable for me
My man, it's still in early access.
While I don't condone this kind of business practice, they have shown great signs of improving the game, and buying the DLC only supports the team to keep maintaining the game and making more content.
Are you saying that in order to have the entire 2024 season I will have to purchase four DLCs?
Yes
No, there is a season pass
Smell like EA lol
@@Whodarewin totally not, there is a season pass for a reasonable price
@@jeroengoudeseune7209 still i have to pay for a thing that have to be in the game, whats the point of a endurance race game without the current cars?
Some comments logic here...3000€+ cockpit/wheel/PC, but a 12€ DLC with 2 licenced cars and a lasser scanned track almost one to one compared to the real deal, is too expensive. The hypocricy has no bounds.
I mean I get it...game is not even finished, performance is not that great even on my monster PC (alongside my beloved Simagic wheel, pedals, etc combo worth more than those 3k euros...) yet....these people have to eat too, am I right?
rFactor 2 and LMU are not top seller games sadly, and I believe they have to pay for the people working, licences, and so on. If you complain for paying 12€ then go and think again why they charge you those 12€.
Compare this to DLCs in DCS (I bought an helicopter, Black Shark 2 for 70€...), MFS and such, and then come again here.
Hope they do what they did to rFactor 2 because that game is miles ahead of what it was back in the day, when it comes to performance, content and other stuff. Just be patient, I bet these DLC's will also bring some features with the new patch.
PS: Showed this trailer to a friend and the only thing he said was "They even didn't finish the game and are charging for DLC? Amazing!" Funny thing, he doesn't even own the game...lol
it's like a guy buys a ferrari but cries about the price of fuel lol
Yup. Thats exactly the issue. these type of negative comments have big impact on the player base which is shame. comparing this price to other sims makes it complete fine because lmu offers best car physics and handling in the sim racing. Hope ppl will change their mindset and this „is not finished - finish first“ trend will disappear with time… and for time being.
12€ for an DLC is not the problem - Instead of completing rFactor 2 as promised for many years, they are now selling us a new construction site, and then we are expected to pay again for content we have already purchased - no thanks!
@@heikohesse4666 well this is only for user who already have invested or paid lot of money on rF2. and maybe, when i take a look on the pack, there seem to be already something like predecessor of lmu on rf2 in „endurance racing“… so maybe it could be possible to make here some special price but again i never played rf2. tried couple of times… had some fun time today with m4 on lime park and found ffb settings first time today… but just paid the game without any cars or tracks from the shop. For me it looks different. Thats also the reason why is it so hard to bring the ppl away from iracing i believe. As someone who has started sim racing not years ago but recently with lmu… its perfectly fine.
I pirate every software, it's better :)
47 euros? And for the early acces buyers? No discount? You are crazy
Only DLC 12$
11 cars and 4 track laser scanned, price seems correct for me. Studio need money if u want them to survive and let us enjoy this sim during many years ❤

@ZimmerZirwes using iracing as a way to say "it's not that bad" doesn't have the effect you think it does lol
I mean the season pass's price for these cars and tracks is reasonable.
50 dollars for 4 tracks and 11 cars is standard in simracing.
In compare with iracing That's a steal.
Finally someone with sense
THAT price for a season pass for a game that is still early access?
That's more than 150% of the base game.
It is a steal; a money grab from the devs.

Early access game with DLC, but what features need to be added for the studio to consider it fully released???
Why would I buy a DLC for new cars and a new track if the game doesn't load the tracks and cars that it already have in
It does, you must have a shit pc or something.
@@Simongtt Then why is is still early access if it is already fully optimised to run, genius?

So in a couple of years the main game is an year-old WEC season and I have to pay multiple DLC to get it more or less up-tp-date ?
Yes.
And people actually think that´s perfectly okay.
Because RFactor is even more expensive or something.
@@rene2106it’s nothing to do with RF2 - it’s when compared to iracing pricing, for a game that looks light years ahead and feels far better.
Just be glad we have so many viable options these days, you don’t have to buy it.
Shut up and take my money!!!
Keep op the good work fellas, love this sim. ❤
Looking forward to having another track to add to the rotation. Seems pretty good value too. Like I'm used to paying $15 (plus tax) for a single track. $13 for a track and 2 cars isn't cheap but is reasonable.
Game is so unfinished/ unplayable, how about you fix it before you start selling more content?
Please release the season pass with an introductory discount offer at least for the 1st few days of release
I will not buy ANY of their DLC before the game is a finished product. I really like LMU as it is now with its minor defects. For the $34 USD I have paid for the Early Release, I am happy with my purchase. I am not buying a DLC for a software package which may never make it to the finish line. I will be willing to pay a higher price in the end, if I know what I am getting is a complete effort by the developer. Drop me a line when you have a full version.

DLC on an early access game.
No thanks.
Im willing to pay any price as long as the newer cars are modeled at the Ferrari hypercar standard. That bar needs to be maintained

Iracing $15 a track and $11 for a car. You'll need minimum a track a season (3 months) plus the $12 sub every month = $248 p/a
But here's the kicker.. The handling of the gt lmp and hypercars is BETTER in LMU so who cares if it says early access that just means more great stuff is coming as part of the base game.
Yeah, I completely agree with you, Most of the negative comments come from people that have never even played LMU or RF2, AC. They repeat the same narratives in an echo chamber. The sim racing community can get very toxic and try gate keep what sim should succeed. It doesn't help that certain CZcamsrs/twitch streamers prop up certain sims because they do better with views, It's like they think you cannot enjoy more than one sim at a time and the only sim that is important is the one they put in the elo or irating grind. They don't want to relearn a new sim even if it was better in every way, they just piss and moan, slagging it off in an attempt to protect the sim they were established on.
i waited so long for this
46€ for those.....
for every DLC coming this year. Only for those I think its 12 €
Completely mis-sold.
Quote from Steam listing...
Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?
“The initial offering for the game will be the lowest price for the game in its Early Access phase. Those early adopters will enjoy playing the game early with access to features and content, whilst also helping input into the future roadmap of the product with new features and updates being delivered to players when they are ready as part of the initial price.
As the game grows with more features, the price of the title will increase gradually to reflect the content and feature set in the game for any new fans who want to join the Le Mans Ultimate community.”
The million dollar question. Buying or not buying for those DLCs upfront will entierly depend on that answer
no one wants to keep buying dlc without having a place to run the championship, no one likes to spend time in a public lobby, this release of private servers is taking too long
I've had many many hours of great online racing, you must not have a decent rating and get stuck in rookies?!
Came to see people cry about paying for DLC in 2024.. Do you not expect the employees to feed their families???
Exactly lol
most of this money definitely isnt going to the employees, and this price is just insane, this isnt acceptable
but I look carefully at what I spend money on... because i have to feed family also 😁.
Correct. Some people expect games to be developed for free; it's pathetic and childish. Would the same people work for free? I wouldn't think so.
@@raiden4695 What's insane about it? You pay similar prices for DLCs in other games. Minus iRacing because there you'd pay 180 dollars for this amount of cars and tracks.

Where are the updates, is this still early release or what. C'mon guys make this a classic one
People who complain about the price have obviously never played iRacing.
I don’t get all these comments about the game not working. Maybe it’s time to upgrade your potato PC? I’m running it just fine on a 3070 mobile (and a 4090 desktop). Sure it’s demanding but it’s also the best looking race sim.
same 120 fps high/medium graphic and no more stability issue since few month .....
If there was a discount for early members it would be great. I would gladly pay let's say 30 EUR for the season pass. 47 EUR for season pass for early access game is a little bit too much and I don't like it to be honest. I know 17 EUR is nothing these days, but still I'm not sure about jumping on that train... Imola, Losail and COTA are forcing me to do it though. 😀
Is VR support now comming?
Pay extra to have the game be up to date?

The game is in early access with 62% recent reviews on Steam. This is the time for a DLC? Happy I dodged this bullet...
Well what are you expecting? The game was €30 and now you're getting all new content. Are you expecting it to be given out for free? That's not how businesses work
@@smokeybandit9760 If you were at a restaurant and ordered a burger and they brought you a half made burger, but the fries were amazing you would still be pissed. No one is asking for anything for free, just finished. Business also doesn't work when companies get to sell unfinished products while releasing extensions for said unfinished product. It is like selling you a case for your phone when the screen doesn't work.
@@Druezyso you're saying, that they have to give the burgers for free for one year since you realized, that the burger could taste better? Or should they work on their burgers to make them better with the money they earn during this year?
@@ScholliUlz The dish shouldn't be served if the burger isn't prepared. It doesn't matter if the fries are ready. I'm willing to buy a video game, not invest in one. This isn't a stock, it will never be worth more. It will only be discounted as time goes on.

Online mode is the bread and butter for 90% of players. And it works pretty damn well. All the game needs is more content.

So they gonna release 4 DLC packs for $49.99, the price of a normal game almost, in order to complete the 2024 grid lol for game that is still in early access hmmm
$49.99 for 8 cars and 4 Circuits (+2 free GT3 and 1 free Hypercar), if you want to compare to Iracing you don't have this lot of a content for this price early or not scans etc... are not free
I mean you're getting 4 tracks, 7 GT3s, and 4 Hypercars. Compare that with the base game and you're almost doubling the content. It's a good deal IMO
It's EARLY ACCESS and they are selling DLCs.. how isn't that a red flag for y'all, I just can't fathom how you're not upset by this. A game in development is selling content instead of finishing it and selling a complete game. So currently the cost of the game is base cost + $49.99 now. Would you have bought the game at $100..? I doubt it.
@@taven2164 Because the game is in a perfectly playable state right now and they've already delivered on the 2023 content. Yes, it's missing some features from rFactor 2, but its an entirely different game that uses the same engine. The pricing model for the season 4 is very reasonable, it effectively doubles the content
