Unfortunately my grandpa passed away and I didn't make it there in time, but I am very grateful for our van, as I had seen him more in the last couple years than I would have without it!

I love seeing how visitors see the city I live in. You definitely showed the best of it. Unfortunately the city has some very bad sides that the locals see daily.
@@AdventuresofAplusK live in spokane but have traveled alot and can say the same. Spokane definitely has alot of issues including the largest homeless camp in Washington but I couldn't be prouder to call anywhere else my home. Pretty much any city of its size has comparable issues.
@@teamextremepkjust an fyi... a portion of Spokane homeless were given one-way bus tickets from Seattle and Portland. Spokane has also taken in a lot of Ukraine and Afghan refugees.

I raised my kids on beautiful South Hill. My son left to serve 24 years in the Navy, lives in Chewelah now. My daughter got as far away as Rathdrum. I left almost 30 years ago and I still say Rosauer's when I'm going to the market. I miss Spokane so much. Manito Park will always be my happy place. I've lived in 5 states and Washington always represents home to me. I'm getting my camper van in Noember and I'm coming home. Of course I'll leave again in the spring, but i will always return. (The National Parks are calling me.)

I've been living in Spokane for almost 10 years now and your video definitely showed the best we have to offer. Lots of beautiful things about this city but also a lot of issues. You mentioned in another comment that this can be said about any city and that's definitely true! Thank you for sharing the history and painting our city in a brighter color than locals normally do. I'm not from here (I am also from Texas!) but I do love living here and I don't know if I'd wanna live anywhere else in the near future.
We get a lot of people complaining about their city and we get it…we lived in Seattle for 3 years and experienced many of the same issues. We just choose to appreciate everywhere we go for it’s unique and positive qualities. We have friends that live there as well and they love it! Thank you and thanks for watching!
The true magic of Spokane is the outdoor access for any water activity and in the winter there is tons of skiing, snowshoeing, and snowmobiling. Next time you visit you could paddleboard at Porcipine Bay, go sailing in Bayview, hit Silverwood theme park, disc golfing at several courses in the area with wonderful wildlife and views, and Priest Lake is a local treasure (especially up by Lionshead.

I actually live in the Spokane area, and periodically go to most of these places you showed everyone. Our family goes kayaking on the “Little”Spokane river, picks fruit at Greenbluff, hike on Mt. Spokane, goes to Liberty lake in the summer, and since our kids were small we’ve always hit “The Scoop” on the South Hill for their coveted Salted Carmel. I dont normally watch this kind of content but living in spokane i had to watch because i was curious what other people had to say and you show the true beauty of spokane that most people dont see because usually you you'll see the homeless or lower quality of spokane im really happy to see someone enjoying the beautity of washington in general especially spokane because its a beautiful area as long as you know the good areas
I enjoyed the Japanese flower garden. Koi was big. Loved the other gardens as well. The roses were beautiful. White water rafting looked fun. The pastry your Husband got with the white chocolate & lemon icing looked delicious. Avocado toast looked inviting. I love going to farms like you did. I'd rather have homemade over store bought anyday. Enjoyed your video.

It was a fun summer up in Alaska, but there are sooo many cool spots to see in the lower 48 too and we can't wait to share more of our drive home, focusing on some underrated spots! Getting to work with tourism boards is a dream for us, as it allows us to do an even deeper dive into the places we visit, with the help of local experts. Thanks for watching!
Nice video on Spokane, looks like a lot to do there. For real whitewater thrills, you need to visit West Virginia. The New River (now in a national park) has class 3,4 and a few 5s. The nearby Gauley has a boatload of class 5s, one of the best in the east.
In other parts of the year the Spokane River is higher thus creating higher class of rapids and we can't wait to come back and try those! We've been to several parts of the country with rivers with awesome rafting, but didn't have the chance to experience them so we were really excited we could finally do it there in Spokane! We love West Virginia! Thanks for the tip and thanks for watching!

The Kennebec River in the Forks in Maine has class 3 to 4 rapids. Great fun. Spokane river looks nice and that Granite cabin looked nice with mighty beams.
Spokane is just beautiful! Sunset picnic how fun! The restaurants and coffee shops look top knotch! Adam after experiencing the Arctic Ocean dip the Spokane River must have been like bath water😄. Ice cream treat, oh ya!! Walter's Farm looked fun!! My husband and I will definitely plan to go to Spokane! September looked like a good time of year. Happy travels!

I live just over the state line in Idaho and go to Spokane occasionally. Some places are nice. You caught the falls before they opened the dam in Post Falls, ID, to lower the water level in Lake Coeur d'Alene. It would be raging after they do. Great video!! We did my youngest daughter's senior pictures at Manito Park.
I have friends who just moved there and hopefully they have discovered all these gems! We’ll be very excited to check these places out ourselves when we go to visit!

It's NOT a garbage goat. He is supposed to be for recycled goods. The metal sculptures at the falls are the work of Smoker Marchand. Also, you filmed huckleberry bushes. We usually harvest in July-August.
I remember our family flew into Spokane and drove to glacier National park from there, we didn’t have time to explore the city but now I want to go back and check it out someday!! We were also stunned by the beauty of Idaho during our drive, a hidden gem!

OMG! I was just in Spokane the end of September! I must have done alright on my adventures there, as many of them you did as well, including sliding down the wagon slide! The Riverfront Park area was pretty awesome. I was at the gardens, and the Bowl and Pitcher was pretty epic, with a ton of trails! Awesome work!

You guys are amazing! I love all your adventures you go on. Your editing, creativity and picture taking skills are second to none. I actually live in the Spokane area, and periodically go to most of these places you showed everyone. Our family goes kayaking on the “Little”Spokane river, picks fruit at Greenbluff, hike on Mt. Spokane, goes to Liberty lake in the summer, and since our kids were small we’ve always hit “The Scoop” on the South Hill for their coveted Salted Carmel.
Things to do if you ever return:
-Hike Coeur’dAlene’s Tubbs hill
-Kayak the “Little Spokane river -Bike on the centennial trail
-Hike the Painted Rocks area
-Scooter ride around Riverfront park
-Hoopfest in the summertime
-Bloomsday marathon

Fire towers are so cool! We visited one on our recent trip to West Va. We couldn't stay over because it was reserved for the night. If you ever get to WV, check out Thorny Mountain Fire Tower in the Seneca State Forest.

I dont normally watch this kind of content but living in spokane i had to watch because i was curious what other people had to say and you show the true beauty of spokane that most people dont see because usually you you'll see the homeless or lower quality of spokane im really happy to see someone enjoying the beautity of washington in general especially spokane because its a beautiful area as long as you know the good areas

I enjoyed the Japanese flower garden. Koi was big. Loved the other gardens as well. The roses were beautiful. White water rafting looked fun. The pastry your Husband got with the white chocolate & lemon icing looked delicious. Avocado toast looked inviting. I love going to farms like you did. I'd rather have homemade over store bought anyday. Enjoyed your video.

Green Bluff has great events and some wonderful gems hidden away. I wish I remembered where that one chocolatier shop was.
If you haven't made the Centennial trail down to Coeur d'Alene and Wallace I truly hope you get to do it someday! Waiting for your next pit stop...Safe travels!
We've been on bits and pieces of it and been to Wallace (we have a video on riding the Route of the Hiawatha) and Coeur d'Alene and both are awesome spots!

It was a fun summer up in Alaska, but there are sooo many cool spots to see in the lower 48 too and we can't wait to share more of our drive home, focusing on some underrated spots! Nice video on Spokane, looks like a lot to do there. For real whitewater thrills, you need to visit West Virginia. The New River (now in a national park) has class 3,4 and a few 5s. The nearby Gauley has a boatload of class 5s, one of the best in the east.
In other parts of the year the Spokane River is higher thus creating higher class of rapids and we can't wait to come back and try those! We've been to several parts of the country with rivers with awesome rafting, but didn't have the chance to experience them so we were really excited we could finally do it there in Spokane!

The New has varying flows throughout the year but the Gauley is damn controlled and consistent thru October!
Yeah, we went there a couple years ago, but missed the prime time to raft there.

The Kennebec River in the Forks in Maine has class 3 to 4 rapids. Great fun. Spokane river looks nice and that Granite cabin looked nice with mighty beams.

Spokane is just beautiful! Sunset picnic how fun! The restaurants and coffee shops look top knotch! Adam after experiencing the Arctic Ocean dip the Spokane River must have been like bath water😄. I live just over the state line in Idaho and go to Spokane occasionally. Some places are nice. You caught the falls before they opened the dam in Post Falls, ID, to lower the water level in Lake Coeur d'Alene. It would be raging after they do. Great video!! We did my youngest daughter's senior pictures at Manito Park.
I have friends who just moved there and hopefully they have discovered all these gems! We’ll be very excited to check these places out ourselves when we go to visit!

I remember our family flew into Spokane and drove to glacier National park from there, we didn’t have time to explore the city but now I want to go back and check it out someday!! We were also stunned by the beauty of Idaho during our drive, a hidden gem!

OMG! I was just in Spokane the end of September! I must have done alright on my adventures there, as many of them you did as well, including sliding down the wagon slide! The Riverfront Park area was pretty awesome. I was at the gardens, and the Bowl and Pitcher was pretty epic, with a ton of trails! Awesome work!
