ODST is perfect for this having you play missions as each of the team, so you can see the visual differences of them. third person always felt more immersive to me on a player-character emotional level, i love this
I remember mw2 had a 3rd person Multiplayer mode. Nobody liked it but I thought it was fun. I saw a comment say that 3rd person should’ve been a skull. I can only imagine how much use it would get.
Imagien and official patch that adds a skull for 3rd person in each game. They could even do a new season where they allow multiplayer playlists with 3rd person.
Nice review! They should also add a 4 weapon slot with a dpad shortcut. It would be so perfect on Firefight so you don’t have to always pick and drop a weapon.
You can actually play Halo 3 ODST in 3rd person on Xbox. I don't know if someone in the lobby had the mod on PC or glitched it, but there it was in the custom games browser

It really does look great only thing is they shouldve allowed odsts to dual wield small weapons like pistols and smgs but not battle rifles lowered the health on players whil leaving unarmored brutes as the main fights with spurtts offights between elites and brutes the further down the stiry you get and brutes should be able to grab you
ODST looks really cool in 3rd person! Sometimes in 1st person, I find myself running backwards into walls and getting stuck. 3rd person perspective keeps me from doing that as often because I can see my surroundings better. I like the idea of toggle perspectives button.
I've played too much Helldivers and I can see how the 343i developers wanted to create a ODST like game similar to Helldivers.

Yes, there was a 3rd person skull. But it got cut before the game came out.

If only they could figure out how to add aiming to third person perspective. It would make for interesting multiplayer gameplay possibilities

Every time I start a mission with the Rookie I lost the third person view. Any way to fix it?
