To be fair, he was right about the whole fake trailer thing. I actually thought the intro was sarcastic and he had already seen the film, then I saw the date it was posted and my mind was blown. Spoilers if you haven't seen the film It makes you think it's gonna be this whole x-force vs cable movie when really, the team is completely thrown away and hilariously killed off seconds after being introduced (apart from Domino), like it's trying to really rub it in that what you expected from the trailer isn't going to happen and the kid who seems as though he's being rescued in the trailer is actually kind of the villain while Cable has one of the most heroic roles in the film near the end. Yes, if he was, he can balance out all of the comedy of the X-Force, because it is a unique thing to do especially if it were meant to be a team of mutants and what not. He would have a bid role somehow somewhere in the end or the middle of the movie. Hell, he can even be the root of the twist actually ( considering if Deadpool 2 would have one ). I think the creators were thinking of a sidekick for Deadpool, like for example, Peter might die at some point of the movie or get injured or my guess is that his cheating wife is going to get captured by the cheater ( who is probably a villain ), making him willing to get the same things as Deadpool which might give him powers that are similiar to Deadpool. I just wish he doesn't die at a random point of the movie and nobody's going to help him.

When they told Wade Wilson that they could cure his cancer, they weren't lying. BUT THEY CHOSE NOT TO. (Or fix anyone's cancer for a matter of fact.) See below if you want to see my logic. First, it's pretty much a given that Wolverine's mutation is based in his genetic makeup. I don't think I've heard anything in the cannon that suggests it to be otherwise. Second, it's also pretty much a given in the comics and alluded to in the movie that Deadpool's healing factor came from Wolverine. Now, how do you you take a trait based in one organism's code and give it to another organism? GENETIC ENGINEERING. Yeup, the same way you'd take the glow gene from jellyfish and insert them into albino lab mice, because who doesn't like a cute, green glowing mouse. It meant that Weapon X program had to take the part of Wolverine's DNA that lets him heal from anything, cut it out of the chromosome that it's housed in, and, using tools like CRISPR, stuff that bad boy into Wade Wilson's DNA like a stolen radio into a crappy hyundai subcompact. Oh, but it gets better. If you know anything about the Human Genome, you know it's a complex code of 23 chromosomes housing about 20,000 genes, and they're still mapping that bad boy. Take into account that there are not a lot of mutants with healing factors in the Marvel universe to compare against mutants without a healing factor and non-mutants, and it's an impressive feat. It means that Weapon X program has an understanding of the genome to such a degree that would make companies like 23andMe and Ancestry.com jealous. But that's just the second thing needed to fight the various cancers out there or make a super mutant pepperoni pizza. Because, it's just not enough to know where the gene is and cut it from one person only to insert it into another person. You have to be able to activate it (get the gene to express itself). There's a whole bunch of issue in real life with gettings genes to express or not to express, and we don't have a good lock on it. (It's part of the reason they were torturing Wade, because environment can cause a gene to express or stop expressing.) So, why is all of this relevant to fighting various cancers? At its core, cancer are a person's own cells saying "fuck it", stop doing whatever they're supposed to be doing, and decide to just replicate themselves endlessly. All of the machinery to do this is within the cells themselves. (That's why we have tests that can accurately predict if someone is a high risk for certain cancers.) The Weapon X program has all the tools to find which genes are causing Wade's cells to go cancerous, shut them down, and then swap out the genes with ones that don't cause this behaviour. They, in effect, have the tools to fight the many forms of cancer on a genetic level, but chose to make superhuman, mutant slaves instead. They could have fixed his cancer, but chose to give him a healing factor instead. And, once they did that, it made any hope of going back and fixing the cancers hopeless.
Actually, I am sorry to say this but, the problem with the cancer is that it's not only caused by genetics but by epigenetics, that are some little changes that the strings of DNA can present such as methylations and things like that. So even if you can erase the "cancer genes " you shouldn't, because many of them are actually necesary for different tasks, and you could potentially erase something impotant. Also, you cannot erase the epigenetic traits with CRISPR/CAS9 wich means you cannot erase nor the complete gene nor the little changes it has that are causing the cancer. Therefore it is actually easier to give Deadpool Wolverine's healing genes than taking away the molecular causes of Deadpool's cancer. This is essencially why is so difficult to cure cancer, because you really can't, at least at a molecular level and without destroying something important in the process. Nice theory though and as someone else had said well thought out. (I am sorry if there is any mistake in grammar or expelling, English is not my first language)

Yes, if he was, he can balance out all of the comedy of the X-Force, because it is a unique thing to do especially if it were meant to be a team of mutants and what not. He would have a bid role somehow somewhere in the end or the middle of the movie. Hell, he can even be the root of the twist actually ( considering if Deadpool 2 would have one ). I think the creators were thinking of a sidekick for Deadpool, like for example, Peter might die at some point of the movie or get injured or my guess is that his cheating wife is going to get captured by the cheater ( who is probably a villain ), making him willing to get the same things as Deadpool which might give him powers that are similiar to Deadpool. I just wish he doesn't die at a random point of the movie and nobody's going to help him.

*MATPAT, YOU WANT A DEADPOOL RELATED FILM THEORY, I JUST HAPPEN TO HAVE ONE FOR YOU* "The Weapon X program (seen in both the comics and the movie) are BIGGER BUNCH OF JERKS THAN WE KNOW." When they told Wade Wilson that they could cure his cancer, they weren't lying. BUT THEY CHOSE NOT TO. (Or fix anyone's cancer for a matter of fact.) See below if you want to see my logic.
First, it's pretty much a given that Wolverine's mutation is based in his genetic makeup. I don't think I've heard anything in the cannon that suggests it to be otherwise. Second, it's also pretty much a given in the comics and alluded to in the movie that Deadpool's healing factor came from Wolverine. Now, how do you you take a trait based in one organism's code and give it to another organism? GENETIC ENGINEERING. Yeup, the same way you'd take the glow gene from jellyfish and insert them into albino lab mice, because who doesn't like a cute, green glowing mouse. It meant that Weapon X program had to take the part of Wolverine's DNA that lets him heal from anything, cut it out of the chromosome that it's housed in, and, using tools like CRISPR, stuff that bad boy into Wade Wilson's DNA like a stolen radio into a crappy hyundai subcompact. Oh, but it gets better.
If you know anything about the Human Genome, you know it's a complex code of 23 chromosomes housing about 20,000 genes, and they're still mapping that bad boy. Take into account that there are not a lot of mutants with healing factors in the Marvel universe to compare against mutants without a healing factor and non-mutants, and it's an impressive feat. It means that Weapon X program has an understanding of the genome to such a degree that would make companies like 23andMe and Ancestry.com jealous. But that's just the second thing needed to fight the various cancers out there or make a super mutant pepperoni pizza.
Because, it's just not enough to know where the gene is and cut it from one person only to insert it into another person. You have to be able to activate it (get the gene to express itself). There's a whole bunch of issue in real life with gettings genes to express or not to express, and we don't have a good lock on it. (It's part of the reason they were torturing Wade, because environment can cause a gene to express or stop expressing.)
So, why is all of this relevant to fighting various cancers? At its core, cancer are a person's own cells saying "fuck it", stop doing whatever they're supposed to be doing, and decide to just replicate themselves endlessly. All of the machinery to do this is within the cells themselves. (That's why we have tests that can accurately predict if someone is a high risk for certain cancers.) The Weapon X program has all the tools to find which genes are causing Wade's cells to go cancerous, shut them down, and then swap out the genes with ones that don't cause this behaviour. They, in effect, have the tools to fight the many forms of cancer on a genetic level, but chose to make superhuman, mutant slaves instead. They could have fixed his cancer, but chose to give him a healing factor instead. And, once they did that, it made any hope of going back and fixing the cancers hopeless.

Actually, I am sorry to say this but, the problem with the cancer is that it's not only caused by genetics but by epigenetics, that are some little changes that the strings of DNA can present such as methylations and things like that. So even if you can erase the "cancer genes " you shouldn't, because many of them are actually necesary for different tasks, and you could potentially erase something impotant. Also, you cannot erase the epigenetic traits with CRISPR/CAS9 wich means you cannot erase nor the complete gene nor the little changes it has that are causing the cancer. Therefore it is actually easier to give Deadpool Wolverine's healing genes than taking away the molecular causes of Deadpool's cancer.
This is essencially why is so difficult to cure cancer, because you really can't, at least at a molecular level and without destroying something important in the process.

Like, if this is solid, mid-fight the Peter W persona is dropped and Peter Wisdom comes out, and even Deadpool has to look at the camera in shock because even he, king troll of the fourth wall, didn't see it coming. That would be amazing!
