Maybe view them as a car alternative, that you can also make coffee in and use as a mini hotel room when visiting people? They depreciate less than cars, and are cheap to insure (in Europe), so not such a bad alternative, especially the smaller 6m length ones.

This is a nice coach! It's nice to see some of the larger manufacturers like Winnebago and Coachmen finally beginning to catch up to the many excellent custom van builders out there, when it comes to battery capacity, solar capacity, 4-season insulation, larger fridge, fresh/grey tank size, convenient cassette toilet, etc. These are the features that most customers want. I especially like the convertible bathroom design. The main issues for me are the small 2000 watt inverter and the propane. You need at least 3500 watt inverter for a truly off grid rig, but I suspect the larger battery package comes with a larger inverter. Also, many customers don't want propane onboard at all for various reasons, so an all electric option with induction cooking and chassis gas fed heat/hot water should be offered. That said, this is one of very few non-custom built coaches that I would actually consider buying...with just a few modifications. Well done Winnebago!

I love the size being a single senior woman. I think the locking screen door is a fabulous security feature even when you are in the van. The only thing I would highly recommend to change is the very back cargo door. With it only tilting only half way up makes it very difficult to load items, it needs to be a door that tilts fully open to the van OR make is a side entry door.

    Winnebago is smart.
This is definitely where the class B customer is trending. Even custom van up-fitter ARV has started building chassis vans with boxes on them.
That little extra width makes a huge difference and the box allows better use of space, better insulation and you get outside accessible storage.
The overall size of the coach is just a little bigger than a regular class B, so class b customers still feel comfortable with the size, and they really like the extra space, so they will choose this over a standard class b.
The shower design is exactly what the wet bath needed and will be a great selling point.
Winnebago will sell them as fast as they can build them.

The hose has enough slack in the line to compensate for repeated movements. That is if a faucet is even attached to the sink. A hose attached, would be designed like the retractable sprayers, found in today's sinks.
Most designs I have seen in the RV, the faucet is attached to the wall, where there is no movement. The water drains from the sink, directly into the holding reservoir. Get your vehicle level, and you're good to go.

Winnebago really got it right for those wanting a fully equipped motor home that is somewhat compact. Being able to go off grid is a very attractive option. With extra propane and being frugal with water besides bottle water, you could stay out for more than a week. With the electrical capacities being what they are, you have all conveniences at your fingertips and still be out in the sticks. This looks heavy duty and a retired elderly couple like us could travel year round regardless of the weather. One thing though, Wally is a pretty big man and it looked like he would have trouble using the bathroom. I am not poking fun at him as I am not a Slim Jim either. I am impressed with this model and have to see that the better half watches this video.
