I like that all Ali’s books are more or less the same. I always know what to expect, like rewatching favourite tv show

Could not agree more. All the cheese and Twilight talk was SOOOO distracting and took away some of the focus on more important themes of the book including honesty and transparency (which I enjoyed). Also, the mention of things like “tentacle porn” and armpit sex was just so cringe 🥴. I don’t know if Ali was just trying to come across as funny, quirky or cheeky, but it was SO annoying bringing up these weird things whilst Jack was trying to have an honest conversation with Elsie. Also, Elsie at times was behaving SO childish I had trouble believing she actually had a PhD. Honestly, I really liked Jack’s character and how he was trying to help Elsie be more true to herself. If Ali could’ve omitted the cheese and Twilight references from this book, I think it would’ve been a better read for me.

I'm so sad that you didn't like it! I LOVED it! It was my favorite Ali Hazelwood book! (Love hypothesis second, and love on the brain third.) I loved the Greg tooth scene and thought it was hilarious!
Agreed that the male characters all wear the same thing. Also agreed that, Elsie assuming Jack hates her even when he's told her he likes her was a bit confusing. But... at the same time, people often only see what they want to see. And so maybe it's not that unrealistic?
Anyway, I just loved it and wanted to offer a different perspective. Hope your next book is a winner for you. :)

I totally agree with that love theoritically was also my #1 favourite followed by love in the brain and the love hypothesis was my 3rd favourite of all her books. Atleast for me I just related so much with Elsie and her people pleasing as well as being a stem girlie and imho I think that maybe Elsie is ADHD or ASD. I am also ADHD and dyslexic so I that’s why I related with Elsie so much.

Man, I feel like I avoid books like these because I’m so nervous their all gonna be as fluffy and quirky as you described this 3rd book, but your love for the first two hyped me so much that I think I’ll give them both a try. So thanks for the book recs inside of a non-rec video, lol! 🥴❤️

Yess I just finished it and science stuff were hard to keep up with. But overall it was cute. The Novellas are really good, I love them even more that the Love Hypothesis ❤

I just finished reading three chapters and I was debating whether or not to continue reading this book...after watching your video I might just dnf this book :( This book just doesn't hook me in like her other books? I'm so sad because I LOVED reading her other two books and I thought this book would be like that (given how similar her books are). Anyways, thanks for this video!

I just finished this book today and I feel exactly the same - it all felt to similar to the last two (and even the Novellas beacuse I reas those recently too). It is too similar, the male is always the same and I wish of the top of my head some of the traist the irked me. I also feel like all the female characters are the same... either they're in experienced or they've only had one partner and the same traits just get tedious. When I got half way through last night I honestly though... well the book could literally end here

As a theoretical physicist with diabetes, who also likes twilight and can mould into what people expect of me I can relate to the main character, however she is quite childish and the conversations were very weird and kind of cringe. The whole feud with the hedgehog was dumb. I wanted to like this book so much, but Dr Hannaway and I are completely different.

You can skip love on the brain if you like. Half way through I had abandoned reading it though I've liked both love hypothesis and love, theoretically. I agree more could had been done on the love, theoretically, I felt as the book went on, the character of Elsie became more vulnerable, gullible. .

Thank you for the review! I’ve seen this Book every time I go to Costco. I haven’t read any of her books and I’m not a stem girl so I didn’t think I would enjoy it. I’m glad I did not buy it because I’m pretty sure I would have DNF this book.

To be honest, I have VERY mixed feelings about this book. In some ways I feel like if you take out the first two books/if they didn't exist, this book is the best. I think it is the most self aware, but where the other two are a bit overthetop it kind of works more, whereas this book feels a bit more grounded and less troupe but we do come to modern romances for the troupes so again mixed thoughts. I wish we had just leaned more into the "science world" in a way like the second book - got rid of the fake dating app (because although I love Greg and ace rep I just don't really buy the whole fake girlfriend app stuff, I mean there are millions of apps but it alligns so poorly with her profession, I think like it would have made way more sense if she was like an errotica writer and Greg is her partner and they were friends from college or something) and focused more on the whole theoretical v experimental physicist battle angle in a way that was way more tangible. I feel sometimes like Ali thinks if you say something long enough it makes it true but like SHOW US outside of Jack's angle. Show Elsie actually doing science, show more about Jack's mom (hell have Elsie being a huge fan of her from the start), have some actual other job opportunities. And get rid of the Adam and Olive cameo . Especially since it felt kind of baiting that Jack and Olive were siblngs with them having the same last name. I felt like there was a lot of great stuff here, but it was lacking more depth. I understand striking while the oil is hot and profiting off your craft but I think her team needs to slow down before they burn her out or she runs out of ideas.

Awesome vlog 💯‼️ I just finished love theoritically and it’s my #1 favourite out of all of Ali Hazelwood’s books. Love in the brain is my 2nd favourite and love hypothesis is my least favourite out of the three‼️💯I also ranked bothe love hypothesis and love in the brain 4 stars and love theoritically a 5 star because I could really relate with Elsie and her people pleasing and I also think that maybe Elsie is ADHD ‼️ also Jack is 💯times better than both Adam and Levi. 😅😊

Personally I loved it I have only read The love hypothesis tho. I have not read love on the brain. However I will say this one seems more alive then the love hypothesis. Also I feel that the mention to cheese and twighlight was mentioned just as many times as Adam and olives forbidden romance. Realy just the author exsprecing an idea. I also would like to say that the overall idea of this book WAS COMPLETELY DIFFERENT FROM LOVE HYPOTHESIS. Elsie grows to learn to be herself and that if people truly love you they will stick around otherwise they will lave!!

I read the love hypothesis last year and i disliked it so much! It was so basic please😭 i decided that i'm never gonna read any more books from this author ever again! Unless and until of course if the book absolutely blows up.... And i'm happy i'm sticking to that decision...🙂

I felt like it was too much stuff.
    The weird humor.
All that stuff around her diabetes, her people pleasing. Was so distracting.
Also, all the physics stuff was confusing the hell out of me hahahah.
