- A comparison between a Glock 21 (full size .45 ACP pistol) and a Glock 30 (sub-compact .45 ACP), an explanation on why an EDC (Everyday carry) flashlight might not be the best option in a grid down scenario, and a discussion about the most important question to ask someone doing a grid down crisis.

I respect the heck out of you man. You have bought your items, trained, and stuck with it.
Thanks. I only talk about items that I have purchased and used.
I carry a Glock 21 and a 30SF. I have had them a long time. I put Trijicon night sights on them. 60% of self defense shootings are in low light.
I have Surefire 300 ultra lights on them.
I've never seen any of your content on CZcams before. I just happened to stumble upon your Channel tonight. This has been my favorite firearm video in months! Thank you for posting
Good point on multiple ways to run your flashlights! On that point, that’s why I switched my headlamp to a Petzl hybrid that can either be recharged or run on AAA. In my bugout bag, I also carry one small AA flashlight and one small AAA flashlight, thinking if I have to scavenge for batteries I doubled my potential chances to score a battery that would work. ✌️
Boy is this a throwback. I remember your original video about this.
hell yah! thanks for making this video! much anticipated to hear your opinion on carrying both full size and glock 30 sf, love both guns are primary go to pieces, I like the finger grooves on my Gen 3, I'm a skinny guy and still carry my 30sf on my days off it's heavy enough you need a good belt loaded, Nitecore HC60 v2 Headlamp, 1200 Lumen LED USB-C that lasts for days on the lowest setting, 45 minutes, finding bigfoot mode. good angles on the vid. keep em coming doing good work. - Florida Man
@seanmurdoc66. I am in florida also but to hot for me to carry a big gun. It's pocket carry for me. I do own the glockenspiel 30 also. Never fired.
I use the G21 as home defense and carry a G30S . If you get a 9 rd G30 mag you can swap out the flat base pad for an SRL + 3 and carry 12 + 1. It’s a handy package. Just an option. It allows you a more concealable 9 + 1 as well as a stock 10 rd , the SRL 12 + 1 and the 13 rd 21 mag with an Xgrip sleeve. Pretty versatile.
Man that’s amazing that you can carry both the G30 & G21 at the same time. I could only imagine how much weight you carrying on you?? I currently carry a Glock G30SF G3 & absolutely love the pistol. It’s one solid built pistol. Very smooth slide & very little recoil. Yes it is a little thick & little on heavy side but hey it’s a .45 expect no different. I’m a subscriber
I just got a brand new glock 30s and I’ll be getting a Glock 21 gen 4 in the morning. 45 auto is definitely my favorite caliber as well.
I think you'll like both guns.
Demcad, have you ever considered buying some land and building a tiny home. Start a garden, have a few farm animals ect?
You carry both at the same time? Respect to you man
Another great video Demcad!!! Hope you are doing well. We miss you up here in Ky!
I'm doing okay. Thanks for the kind words.
I have never carried the Glock 21, but I love carrying my Glock 30SF on a Vedder light tuck holster!
Lone Wolf Timberwolf Frame!!!
For those of us who don't have huge hands but want to get into the Glock 45acp platform, the Timberwolf Frame is a LIFESAVER!
I was hesitant to spend another $100 but it was that or get rid of the gun and now all my Glocks have Lone Wolf lowers.
I love you g30sf. Got it in 2014. Great shooter
Streamlight has some lights that run off AA and AAA as well, their Protac series and stylus pro are good. There's one light they have that can use three battery types, its the Protac 1L-1AA, they dont advertise it being able to use AAA but reviewers including myself have tried it and I can confirm the light uses all three cell types cr123a, AA and AAA batteries
Sofirn makes nice budget lights. They are like the fenix brand before they became popular. Love the sofirn sc31 pro. Maglite also but they are a little more expensive these days. Magtac light. Convoy s2+, stream light polytac, nightcore mt10c. Some of my favorites for low cost.
Thanks for the suggestion. I will look into this.
Fenix is my favorite light, headlamp, battery, and battery charger company.
I have a Fenix smartcharger that can do multiple types and has a slick little display.
Even if you prefer a different light, consider their batteries.
Fenix is pretty good. I will look for the supercharger.
Aim Surplus has Glock 21 police trade ins for $349.
What holsters are you running in this video brother?
As for inexpensive quality lights go with MagLite and OLight.
Olight is expensive.
Some are but the small pocket carry are only around $20.
I love my flashlights too. lol. I've got a small collection of EDC and general purpose flashlights. I have a few Fenix lights. I like them alot. the Fenix LD20 has been my favorite for over ten years now. I'd like to get some mountable weapon lights though and for that I want to upgrade to more high end like Surefire or something. I've never used a Nebo flashlight
Fenix is a solid manufacturer.
Tlr1hl for SHTF, TLR7a for edc
I’d say Glock 21. Wore it on duty today.
Barrel length?????
I can relate to the hand size and which to carry. If you have large or Xlarge hands then G21 would be the ideal firearm to carry. If you got medium size hands then G30 would be the ideal firearm to carry.
Reg, If you were buying your first G30, which version would you get G30SF, G30S or G30gen4? Does that 30S thin slide make any real difference ? Im in a 10 round state and though I prefer 9s Im thinking of trying a .45 out.
I would definitely shoot the G30S before I purchased it. That gun comes with a smaller slide which might provide more recoil. I don't have any experience with the G30 Gen 4, but I would definitely go with the G30SF over the G30S. I would rent both of them before I purchased one.
In case anyone doesn’t know never for a long time store or leave your flashlights with alkaline batteries in them.
Nebo is a great flashlight but I prefer streamlight myself
I used to carry the glock 21 but for a long time now i carry the glock 30s.
For me, the G20 and G29 are the equivalent for the 10mm fan. I've never been a .45 ACP fan, but I have a WW2 Colt 1911A1 and I would love to have a compact 2011.
How can you not like the Lords caliber?
My edc is a G43X MOS or a HK VP9SK…
It’s cold season so it’s time for the 45acp to come out. But I’m switch from fnx45 to the fn 545 this season.
I thought about getting a FN 545, but 1,000 bucks is too much.
They have a non tactical model that just optic ready for like $800 something. Plus they still can take the Fnx mags and you can upgrade them old base plates but they won’t fit the Fnx
That's good to know.
You need some black women on that wall to, bro.
Walmart has a brand called hyper tough...great beater lights of you don't want to carry the best you have
The future belongs to those turds who stsy away from the fan today.
Glocks aren't as pretty or as tacticool as some others but you can never go wrong with good Ole glock
Glocks look very good imo.
I’m not going to tell you not use i. A combat weapon needs to be like part of your body when you and the gun are one it is yours to conquer if it gives you confidence and you shoot it like there is no tomorrow carry it. Confidence is everything.
but in general 99.99 percent of the regular population isnt going to combat. Thats kindof a fantasy world. I carry a ruger lcp2 in 380 with 1 single extra mag. sometimes if possible i will carry my taurus 856 with 1 extra speed strip. last i may carry my kahr cm9 with 1 extra mag. generally its the 380.. its too hot to carry anything larger for me and its not really necessary. Now if i lived in gang territory maybe my glock 19 might see more carry time, but how many of us live there or go there????
If you could only own one pistol, what is it?
HK USP 45.
@@DEMCAD 👍
Neither unless you can do a mag dump in under 5 seconds and hit your target at 3 yards with only your weak hand. Great drill for your carry choice. Your strong hand may be taken out of the fight
The correct answer is both, you bring both...and a interchangeable rpg/gernade launcher with thermal vision scope for good measure...you never know
I use to carry a glock 21 but I carry a government or commander size 1911 45.
What made you switch?
@waholoopesorry74 I shoot the 1911s better and they are thinner, even though I had no problem with concealment.
@@sgtbones1837 thanks for the reply. I’ve never shot a 1911 before and I have a feeling that I’ll fall in love with it if I get one
I have a cat and at night he make noises so that is way i will never have a gun
why did you quit rumble lol :(
I don't have the time. I'll try to post something this week.
I love my Glock 43X 😎👍
Sig Sauers are handsome. But I prefer M-16s. She is prettier.
Gen 5 is way better less pins better trigger and better slide stop easier to break down gen 5 is all i got except builds but i just dont like gen 3 and gen 4 i wish they came with polymer 80 gen 5 gen 3 is inferior product.
DEMCAD, have you attended any training yet?
I took a stop the bleed course.
@@DEMCADwas it worth it?
Absolutely.
@@DEMCAD it's on my long list.
G19
The biggest question during SHTF? This is an idiotic question for humor’s sake right ?
Lol....maybe he didn't really think about it. In shtf and zombies. It would be staying alive or keeping family alive 🤣 🤣 🤣. That's a question for hiring someone for a job
It's not a question that you would ask someone. It's a question you would think about when you are interacting with someone. Ask yourself, what does this person care about the most?
21 for OWB 30 for IWB
I agree with your assessment.
