I am excited that you are having more feelings and feel happy! I was struck by the thought of ADHD impacting work speed. I wish I had some clear way to speculate on it, but I am no stranger to this zone I can get into in some circumstances where I am practically frenzied, almost like I am cracked out on the rapid progress I am making. But, I also have pretty bad OCD, so I feel like I am just as likely to squander that gain fussing with stuff when I get that anxious pull. Definitely bookmarking this thought.

I absolutely love your channel! I am a 33 year old female, I’ve been ADHD all my life but only started medication a little over a year ago. I work at our regional cancer center and only heard about atomoxetine through a patient who said it worked well. I never wanted to be on a stimulant so I asked my doctor about this medication. I started on 25 mg and felt like I was developing a tolerance to it, at the point I thought it wasn’t working. So it’s up to 40 mg now which at times I feel is too much so I only take it when I really need it. Mainly at work, or doing my homework while in college. I understand you’re not supposed to skip doses but I do, lol. I am thinking I need to go back to a lower dose and I’ll be good continuously on it. Thank you so much for your feedback and sharing your experiences!! I hope you have a blessed day!

I've started it ten days ago at 40mg (the same day I was officially diagnosed with ADHD, inattentive presentation), tomorrow they will increase it to 80mg. That is the norm here in Italy, so I am finding your videos interesting. I don't think we even have 18mg, or maybe we have it for children. I am struggling with nausea and tiredness, so I wonder they do not start with a lower dose. They have reassured me that they will go away in a few days/weeks, so I am hopeful. I am definitely more focused, which is wonderful. I also love anti-anxiety effect that Strattera immediately had on me, since right now I am in a quite stressful environment. But I can also imagine the emotional bluntness being a problem one day, as someone who experienced depersonalization and derealization.
I am 27 years old, and it was a relief to have an explanation for many of my problems, since for there I can hope to find a solution. Your videos helped me a lot (Strattera is a kind of divisive medication, in the ADHD community), I really hope you find a combination that suits your needs soon.

Its interesting that Strattera causes emotional bluntness. I am currently on Duloxetine (also a SNRI) for depression and it also causes bluntness, but I find the effect beneficial, as I feel more emotionally stable than I otherwise would be. I am also taking Concerta for the ADHD, but it has way too many side effects, I will definitely ask my Dr about trying Strattera
Keep us updated on your progress!

I'm really interested in all things medication. I'm waiting to be assessed. Also, if it's not too personal for you, I'd love to know more about how hormones affect you. I have a nightmare fortnight every month. Last month was one of the worst ever.🙄

Hey Laura, I don't feel comfortable making a video about it but the worst time for me is the days when the hormones drop. I get emotional for no reason and it's so irrational and I hate it! Going through it today actually and since dropping the dose it's worse than normal. It's common for women with ADHD to have it worse during this time I have heard often. I just want to be left alone until it is over as everything and everyone seems to annoy me (well not literally but I think you might get what I mean) and no matter what I do I can't reason with myself! I'm sorry you have to endure this too. I don't even want children so this bodily function often seems totally unnecessary!!!

Thanks 😊 I totally understand. I don't think I'd feel comfortable talking about it on video either!
