We have 4 bolts stuck in the engine block of this rare e39 BMW. A job like this can add days of labor to what was supposed to be a straight forward repair, but a $20 Chinese Amazon tool saved the day...

The raffle website says there is no limit to the amount of entries to be sold, so how can half be gone?
@@smwsmwsmw I Think Samcrac is focusing on his goal of raising 100k so 50k has been raised via him. The charity would never refuse a bigger draw of support. Samcrac isn't paying close enough attention. It's safe to assume that there's no cap on the raffle tickets. This seems more reputable than most utube "buy a keychain" for a chance to win promotions via a marketing company..... Imo
Rasta man: you get a tred chaser
Sam: yeah we're going to try a thread chaser
Sam: TREDS MON TREDS lol
@@smwsmwsmw that has to be stated legally AFAIK, as all legal raffles here have to allow specific entry methods. When this sells out online, it is gone and I have made it a point to keep it to 5k entries to give the participants confidence in the raffle. If someone jumped through the hoops to obtain a ticket through the No Purchase Necessary route, then they may be administered a ticket. This is just to comply with law. This is a limited ticket raffle.
@@icanfartloud negative. I want this to be an exclusive, raffle. The other raffles you are referring to literally have no limit on the amount of ticket sales, making it like a lottery more than a raffle. To each their own, but this is a raffle with a limited amount of tickets.
If you've never freed a bolt that was refusing to give, you don't understand Sam's energy. Love it.
I have never seen more then one or two stuck bolts in a situation like this free up like this. This was a two day job easy and the did it in perhaps 4hrs!!! This is borderline fake.
And since they drew so much attention to this I believe it’s real.
And here i am refusing to deal with a rusted bolt… It wasn’t worth the time to get an interchangeable $25 part imo😒
@@john-paulsilke893 than
@@peni80085 I see it, and now it bothers me. 😢
Ahhh.... patience... the most necessary tool for working on BMWs, and the one tool we don't sell 😅 Glad to see you guys get a majority of those bolts out, and thankful our DIY could help you figure out your shifter woes!
The homies! Love fcp
Fcp Euro is by far the best online parts store.
Any online European parts distributor cannot compete with fcp absolutely the best in the market and well worth your money.
im so lucky to be within driving distance of FCP here in CT... i was just there yesterday!
i remember their humble beginnings when they were just a small shop in groton.. now they're treating their employees with food trucks for lunch!
i went from a Volvo to a BMW, so i grew with them!

Would Sam's stepmom approve?

Can we take a moment to appreciate how much Sam does for these foundations involving people that are highly under appreciated !
Thankyou Sam for your dedication
Thank you very much for watching! Without the viewers I couldn't do it!
Sam is a great guy. Thanks Sam.
@@Samcrac hey Sam your great. We all want updates or Corey Chase your stepmom. Come on bruh, put her in your vidjas

Jobs is my favourite guy ever, he needs more screen time
Happy that Sam is focusing on completing a car without much of a break😂✌️
Tell me about it
The clock is ticking this time lol
@@Samcrac it’s great that you do this for charity. Good, man. Thank you.
Sam, when you drill out a metric thread, you deduct the pitch, and that is the right size drill bit to use. Example: M6x1= use a 5mm drill bit.
I was amazed at how you guys pulled those bolts without using stroopwafels. Real men on this channel, not sugar junkies. ;)
Hey! No cheap jabs at stroopwafels!
They helped me through school and many late night carwrenching-jobs! 😜
Such an awesome thing you’re doing. 125k for these kids. Love it man
Sam - "If only we had a good welder, like someone who knew what they were doing."
Shane - "Exactly, I don't know what the f*ck I'm doing."
So relatable 😂
Great effort all around. That old school Jamaican guy was a life saver too!
BMW stands for "Broke My Wallet" love the BMWs videos man thank you
"You stand for broke guy" Who don't know that bmw win many top1 reliable car and we owned many bmw never had problem stick to your g Ay toyota
@@ali_ing069 you can't deny that bmw used alot of "fragile plastics" on there cars maybe you should grow up a little and start wrenching and you will know these things kid
All of this makes me very happy Sam. What a great bunch of guys you have helping with this project for a great cause. Congrats to whoever wins
Can we take a moment and just praise Sam for how good of a welder he is? Maybe his stepmom could help him? I heard she can pull anything out in time.
Thats fucking cruel
I heard she can work a big rod pretty good too.
@@brutalbasspro I was just thinking she could definitely get the nut off that stud. By force if she had too
Not sure what sort of person would give a thumbs down to this video ??? The car is being given away to help a charity !!!!
Probably some Karens that think disabled people are faking it! 🤪
So instead of givng it away in a raffle, they should have the car! 🙄
Hi Sam, I've seen it done with snapped head bolts. Weld a washer on first then weld the bolt to the washer. Give it more bite. Glad you got it out.
I’m going to buy all
Chinese paint guns from now on 😀
I'm really glad you care about this organization, it also makes sure Sam gets his butt in gear and give us the Crac videos we deserve!
What would you like to see, you name it I'll work on it!
@@Samcrac I realize you are a BMW, Audi/Volkswagen group fanboy but it would cool if we could get into a couple of Hondas i.e. Prelude/S2000.
@@Leebs bro I really wanted to deliver on this but 🤮🤮🤮. I'll meet you in the middle at a JDM Toyota. Deal 🤝
@@Samcrac deal, actually I'll take any video you put out as long as Rich rebuilds isn't in it, that guys a $% ! Oh and he desiccated a Bible 🤣
Is Jobs actually park of the garage, or does he just roam about? The guy is a legend!
Pilot bearings come out a treat with a slice of bread
Sam this was so much fun to film and hangout man. Everybody this car is being given away at a STEAL for $20!!!!! It’s for a good cause! Please donate! P.s hope you guys liked the baby pic 😂💪🏾
lol love the picture, looked like you guys had a lot of fun that day, and not just the parts dealing with the car.
Yea man it was seriously a good time! We have a lot of fun and love what we do!
is sam as handsome in person as he is in videos?
whats 20 dollars gonna do, even if you do just get one entry you have a one out of a 1500 chance of actually winning the car
@@yungtooli yes he is 😉
These shop videos are my favorites. Even better when the broken studs come out of the block. Awesome work.
Sam, when you try to turn out a tough bolt, you have to hold the racket at the top and the handle. not just the handle... when you don't hold it at the top, it binds.
Omg. I was just about to post the same comment. It just twists, that how u strip the head. No extension u can grab with 2 hands maybe. But with the extension u HAVE to hold the ratchet head in place. And yes, 30 years as a mechanic.
RIP Juice WRLD
I suggested this tool in the last video. It's always worked for me. Glad you got it sorted.
Nice Job Sam!!! It is so amazing how you help the kids!!
Great episode. I struggled for longer than I can say getting two stripped torx head bolts out. Great build. Great episode. Great fundraiser. A+.
Great build for a worthy cause. Thank Alex for the donation and Euro cars for the labor.
Thanks to Alex and Sam what an amazing thing you are doing for this charity!! Great work!
The guys who removed the barring was the guys who spoke about the other bmw.
That baby pic was the comedic relief we needed at that tense moment
This video was so satisfying. Seeing those bolts last vid was weirdly stressful just as a viewer. I can't imagine how it was for you. Really happy for you, and definitely getting myself one of those tools.
Sam bringing back the car to its former glory. This used to be my dream car back in 2003 , but now own a BMW E90 .Those guys at the workshop seems like nice guys.
20 years from now that BMW will still be Timeless. Probably some of the best bmws ever madras far as beauty and to maintain
“Oh ok tell her I said what’s up” 😂😂😂😂
That was a pic from 20-30 years ago.......... Shudders
I'm askin' Stepmom what's up.
This was a great episode, I actually laughed out loud!!
Induction heaters won't work on aluminum fasteners the same way a aluminum pan wont work on an induction stove.
Great cause Sam, fantastic guys for helping you out on those near impossible jobs.
Great work and so far you got really lucky with all the broken stuff. Thanks for another great video !!
Love that you're doing all this work on it brotha. Crazy.
Gareth at FCP is the best!!! So helpful when I'm working on my cars.
Us mechs up here in the rust belt got a kick out of this one! I would offer this solution should you revisit this situation in the future: grind two sides on each of the bolt, put a vise grip on as hard as your hand will take the pain, put a pipe on the end of the vg then apply light pressure back and forth in both directions while another person heats the bolt and whatever it's housed in. And finally apply penetrating oil every so often. Expansion, contraction and flexing over time will free a stuck bolt. You got lucky to have so much bolt to work with. One other thing you can do is drill a tiny pilot hole along side the bolt so you can get penetrating oil directly to the inner threads of the bolts otherwise it really doesn't make it's way in there. I'm sure you put anti seize on the new bolts. Great vid and cause!
Don't forget, if you have tried to get into Cars & Coffee at the Amelia Concours and been told it is full, everyone buying a raffle ticket is entered into a drawing this Friday and the following Friday to win a spot at Cars & Coffee
Great episode. Love the car and cause the build is for. Keep it up Sam.
Honestly, that type of extractor is the best to use. Use it all the time without disappointment
Thanks to that EURO shop that always helps you and have built a good relationship 💪🏼
Amazing work. That tool is a real beast.
I've been through this before.I actually felt good for you.
I always learn so much from Sam's videos!
Great Vlog !! SAM
Tool I've had success with to remove rounded off bolts and nuts is the Irwin tap on/hammer on flueted socket set. Tap the socket onto the rounded off bolt/nut and inside the socket cuts into the head of the bolt or nut and securely grabbing the bolt and just use a normal ratchet with the socket can be used with just exposed threads also. I've learned that you might need to go down a socket size if it doesn't grab on really good
All jobs are doable with the correct tool!! Good job!!
Wow. I also had a silver 530i e39, 5 speed manual, 220.000km. This video brings so many feelings back. Luckily, mine ran beautifully 😎
Good job on the Bimmer looks great
Nice one Sam!
This is awesome, keep it up Sam
FCPEuro is the shit. Things are a little pricey but that unlimited warranty on wear/consumable items is 1000% worth it 👌
It's amazing that such old cars have a lot of value
BMW is so Much fun to work on well the e90 just got one for my channel and I’ve already started taking it apart. Thanks for inspiring me as well. Love your channel. Oh wow the starter on this one is way down there 😳
It really is!
I know I'm watching this video after the fact but I'm praying u get that last bolt.. I literally found myself praying for your success. Lol This is going to raise a lot of money, this is a very good thing.
I’m glad you tried the idea I suggested in the comment section. The induction kit from Snapon is good. I’m shocked a company like Snapon didn’t see your video and send you one with overnight shipping. Copper grease on all the bolts when you put back in the Transmission.
I had a 2002 E39 Sport with a manual. I ordered it from BMW and took delivery in Princeton, NJ. I drove the stick in PA, NJ, NY when I lived on the East coast and then shipped it to CA when I lived in SOCAL. I moved to Scottsdale in 2012 and finally traded the car in on a 911 (997.2) at the end of 2013. I had 173,000 miles on the original clutch and kept the car in perfect condition. It was beautiful when I traded it in but was in need of suspension refresh which would have cost as much as the car was worth. This car was bullet proof and cost me less to drive than any car I've owned. Unfortunately, BMW's have gone downhill since this model. I was proud to own it and hope the new owner enjoyed it too.
E39s are by far the slickest looking bmw ever
Man ...You are awesome 👌🏻
Thank you for all your hard work
We appreciate your patience 🙏 🙂👍🏻🇸🇦
I am literally around the corner from Orlando euro charge and watching this too funny

I remember when Sam was just reviewing cars at auction, look at him now, a wise Crac-in shop working
That tool worked amazing
Just bought my tickets!!! The E39 is coming to LA!!
Just purchased my raffle ticket. I don’t foresee myself winning the car but it’s a great cause and I am happy to help. Good thing to because I was going back and forth on buying a raffle ticket 🎟 or some rich rebuilds merch.
Kickass video!
Very cool project . Good on you guys. 👍👍
Top man Sam.
The Barry Wood reference sent me hahaha
Absolutely love my E39 525i sport, had it over 13 years now.
Jobs is the best. Love seeing him make appearances.
Sam, You had the right idea with the induction tool! Should have used the original "Bolt Buster" you can find these on Amazon. I use mine for ANY bolt that has never moved A total lifesaver! Replaced exhaust from headers back and never broke one bolt... On my Sienna with 200K miles! GO GET ONE I'm Telling you, you won't regret it!
Great job ! I love BMW E39’s.
The easiest way I’ve found to remove stuck, threaded screws/bolts is screw/bolt extractors!. Different to the type you’re trying in the video. The ones I use you have to drill from a few MM upto a CM or so depending if it’s a screw or huge bolt into the neck/shaft of the screw/bolt. You then insert the screw/bolt extractor into the drilled hole turn it clockwise till it bites then attach it to a drill, spanner etc. Then turn it anti clockwise until it’s free. Has worked for me 100% of the time.
13:30 Sam " tell her I said wassup " 👌😂😭😂😭
Well done Sam charity begins with people that care, you obviously care
I can't believe how emotionally invested I was in these studs coming out.
As always , very very entertaining🤘🤘
I usually don't geek out over stuff like that, but that Jamaican accent is just sooooo cool.
Sam, thanks for driving up the value of my car! Now I might actually be able to break even on it despite all the money I've burned on maintenance and repairs!
PB Blaster/hammer is my go to with frozen bolts spraying a couple of days before helps big time
Got another 6 tickets... Now back to da show!
Dude perfect couldn't do a better job pulling those bolts, nice work!
