- Father and Son goals am I right KEK KEK KEK. Today we watch Batman vs Robin and MAN this was a great movie. I loved seeing Bruce and Damien's relationship develop though out the movie. Bruce getting a grip on fatherhood and trust, Damien learning morals and finding himself. SUCH a good movie! I hope you all enjoyed this video see yah in the next one!!

watching Damian and Bruce have their loving father/son moments make me smile widely because its so god damn cute!!! Just that hug at the end got happy tears coming out my eyes.
I actually think the sad thing is that bruce knows he's pushing Damian away. He does that to literally everyone because he is emotionally broken.
Although I can see why you’d feel some sympathy for The Dollmaker, you do have to admit, it is touching to know that Damian got that angry over what had happened to all those kids in the factory. He was raised by Ra’s to view modern society and it’s people with absolute disgust. And yet, he vengeful for a group of kids who were part of that society. He felt sympathy for those who were wronged, and become furious on their behalf.
Hum, I'm all for putting Damian some slack, a lot of it even, but this is putting the bar way too low. I mean ofc he empathised, they are just innocent kids. Damian have pb, but he isn't a heartless monster either.
Ah yes! The move that shows how dysfunction the Bat-Family can be.. but also how great it can be as well! Batman Vs. Robin is such a great film! Damian will remain as my favorite Robin! Definitely such a great character! Can’t wait for next time… Batman: Bad Blood. Great reaction Krysta!

Although Damian is a little annoying at first, I will say that his growth is quite compelling and how he really is the son of Batman. BTW, if you want, I highly recommend @Krystalogy Reacts to read Batman: The Court of Owls (by Scott Synder) if you want to learn more about the Court of Owls and how terrifying they can actually be, its one of the best Batman stories out the past couple years.
Maybe she can go to comicstorian Batman court of owls where he reads the story but I agree with you she could read it she might like it this movie and the comic gets me excited for the new Batman game
And this is why I like Damian the most. He is the real blood of the bat family and I just like him more than the other robins.

Although I personally believe Dick Grayson is my favourite member of the Batfamily and I honestly love every member of the Batfamily, although I do think Damian has plenty of character within him and has shown that. He spent his whole life believing his father was an all-powerful figure to live up to, and yet was never taught to understand empathy, or have an actual father to guide him, thus making him believe he is above everyone else because he's the Son of Batman, and now with all his time among his father, as Robin and his time with his new family, the Batfamily, he has grown to become a much more open person who understands to preserve justice, and not vengeance while opening up to more people, like Dick (his surrogate older brother), and Jonathan Kent/Superboy (Damian's best friend).
The way I see Damian in comparison to the rest of the Batfamily is like this:

Dick Grayson: *Bruce Wayne's First Son & Batman's Greatest Success*

We have only really seen him in the comics, Batman: The New Animated Series, Young Justice, Batman Unlimited films and most recently in Titans Season 3, whats even more perplexing is that Batman: The New Animated Series had Tim act almost exactly like Jason Todd to the point that they even wrote the character to be tortured by the Joker.
While Tim isn't necessarily my favourite member of the Batfamily, I still believe he is the best Robin out of al of the others and a quintessential member of the Batfamily, who also has the best intellect and detective intuition to even rival Batman and deserves as much spotlight as Dick, Jason or Damian.
Maybe we could see him the newly announced Batman animated show, Batman: Caped Crusader, or future projects, I am especially interested to see what the actor playing Tim Drake on Titans Season 3 will do with the character.
Damian had to fight his mother for the right to know who his father was and she had woohoo with batman to make the ultimate warrior, so it makes sense why Damian brings up that he's blood related a lot

Damian is literally a child a traumatized child. people are so weird about children. damian is probably insecure about his place in bruce's life and/or thinks he has to earn bruce's love and affection. he probably brings up the fact that he's "the bloodson" all the time because he desperately wants his dad to love him and possessiveness comes from insecurity
Well also outside of an idea of his insecurity he was raised in the league of assassins and they were training him to be the next leader as a continuation of the Raj Al Ghul bloodline. He like a Prince of an old Monarchy of course he is obsessed with his blood right, it's all he knows, so when he's forced into this new bat family he's going to think he's entitled in the same way.

Kori is Starfire, an alien princess and one of his teammates from the Teen Titans, she’s one of Dick’s main love interests. He also had something with Barbara Gordon for a while.
I think when the Dolkmaker says that Anton died that he means his previous identity of Anton is dead and he is now the Dollmaker. I could be wrong though.
Right, Dollmaker said Anton died when his "innocence" was taken away. I'm pretty sure that's a PG-13 way of saying his father (the convicted psycho) abused him, perhaps sexually. That's why Anton testified against him, but when he grew up his psychosis was too much. So he kidnaps kids to make them "stronger" with these weapon upgrades.
That's my guess, using just the movie as context.

Interesting fact, in the comics some of the talons are from the same circus as nightwing. So nightwing might have been fighting long lost zombie family members
Cobb is actually his great grandfather in the comics! He was prophesied to be the next Head Talon, but Bruce found out and stopped it from happening, but sometimes it does happen in other storylines.

Dollmaker wasn't in Arkham Knight. That was Professor Pyg. Their 2 diffrent people. They have many similarities but are overall diffrent.

@@sofiyanali2489 I didn't like the show Arrow enough to remember anything that happened prior to season 3 (I felt Arrow was practically Batman personality wise. They have their similarities but when it comes to personality traits he's comically more similar to Nightwing than Batman.) But they used a lot of Villains from all around the DC Universe so it's plausible.

Anton Schott is the Superman villain Winslow Schott/Toyman`s son and in some versions of The Comics Toyman`s a well, person with an attraction towards younger individuals. In other words, the implication is Anton/Dollmaker was molested by his villainous daddy which of course caused him to internalize his dad`s perverse and delusional beliefs and interests.
As someone who has watched, played, and read a lot of Batman media and trivia growing up, I also didn’t know much of anything regarding the Court of Owls until this movie.

The court of owls are basically a group of rich people who control Gotham from behind the scenes, with an army or mercenaries called Talons that do their dirty work. Owls also eat bats.

Kori is Kori Anders, AKA Starfire AKA Dick’s girlfriend. The chick in the background of his phone was Barbara Gordon, AKA Commissioner Gordon’s daughter, AKA Batgirl, AKA Oracle.
As much as I wish Bruce would own up to Damian being his son, I feel like that would cause complications from the press. I mean, a 13 year-old son of Bruce Wayne just appears and nobody knows the mother? It can lead to problems, ranging from nosy papparazzi to false mothers suing in court for unpaid childcare (which yes, has actually happened); all of which can compromise their secrecy and safety. So having Damien be a Ward in the public eye is more of a safety concern than anything.
But at least Bruce treats Damien... like his SON, which is more than I can say for his grandfather. All Ra's ever did was treat Damien like a pawn in his schemes to continue the League of Assassins. Ra's wanted a successor and a weapon, but Bruce nit only scolds and trains Damien, but even hangs out with him, cares for him and rewards his good behavior.

People call them New 52 movies because functionally that`s what they are as they`re post-Flashpoint and pre-Rebirth and also use a lot of New 52 characters and character redesigns. However, Damian`s origin and personality is actually a mix of his Pre-52(A League of Assassins member trained by Ra`s destroying the organization and Lazarus Pits in a failed attempt to take over and being killed off for his trouble,Talia getting pregnant with Bruce`s son) and New 52 backstories(Talia spiking Bruce`s drink essentially date raping him, raising Damian in secret, Damian`s initial standoffishness towards one of his predecessors:Tim in The Comics,Dick in The Films.)Officially, it`s called the DCAMU(DC Animated Movie Universe),not to be confused with the DCAU(DC Animated Universe) that started with "Batman:The Animated Series",had a number of Film and Comic Spin-Offs(Both canon and non-canon alike),introduced Harley Quinn,Livewire, elevated Mr. Freeze from another cheesy gimmick supervillain who steals stuff to one of the most poetically tragic Batrogues ever and ended with "Justice League Unlimited."

This was a good movie but I absolutely hated what they did with the Court of Owls. The comics were soooooo freaking cool with them. Btw Krysta if you’re looking for any other Batman reading recommendations, I’d say Scott Synders Court of Owls, and Sean Murphy’s White knight and Curse of the White Knight, they’re really good. Love the vid.😝

3:49 So, the character from Arkham Knight you’re thinking of is Professor Pyg, who is similar to Dollmaker in how he kidnaps people and performs torture and surgery and mental brainwashing to make his victims into subservient combatants that they each view as “perfect”, but Doll asked very specifically targets children or those with history of parental trauma, while Professor Pyg has his own MO that I am not aware of other than perfecting people and making them perfect.
Also, I’m pretty sure Dollmaker is Anton, and he was talking more metaphorically. For example, many people, including Batman himself, say that Bruce died at the age of 10 that night in the alley alongside his parents, and Batman was what came out instead

The villain you're thinking of in Arkham Knight was Professor Pyg. Different villain, however similar idea so understandable confusion since Pyg turned people into his "Dollatrons". I think the Dollmaker was more based on the Superman villain, Toyman

I'm pretty sure that you confused Dollmaker with Professor Pyg when you referenced Arkham Knight. They do have a similar M.O. though so I guess it's understandable.
In the scene where Bruce sees the Owl flying over his parents bodies. In Native American mythology, the Owl is a symbol that death is near and to even hear their hooting, is a bad omen.
I watched all the DC animated movies, was gonna rewatch them but I am glad you are watching them so I can watch them again instead of me rewatching them on my own
Fun fact, dick and Damian were Batman and Robin for awhile in the comics when Bruce was gone.
