@@TheUchihaCub No, after the Superman one, it’s followed by the Justice Society WWII and the Batman Long Halloween in the same film continuity. There’s also going to be a showcase (short films DC makes) centred on Constantine in the new continuity that makes callbacks to the previous one.

The most logical reason Damian survived that omega beam was because Darksied lowered the intensity of the beam. Remember that Darksied also enjoys torturing his opponents. He probably did that on purpose to punish Batman

I was astounded by this movie, I hadn’t been so suspenseful and unknowing what was going to happen next in a while. Really kept me on the edge of my seat, and tbh I can’t really that that with a lot of superhero content these days

I kind of had a feeling the next big showdown with Darkseid was going to be one brutal ride this time around. This was the same villain that killed Dan Turbin in Superman The Animated Series and it was a big shocker back then. I mean, yeah. This was shocking, but I honestly thought the heroes would overcome Darkseid even with a death toll. I just didn't think it would be this insane of a ride.

This films ending by far was one of the best endings of a DC animated film imo. Just Barry having to make a more justifiable cause of Flashpoint, and having the white light flash go over The Trinity last made me cry almost.
The fact that Jay Oliva helped establish another extended universe of DC animation but with as much cohesion and connective storytelling as the DCAU did with the OG shows. Even from it's issues tho, I still LOVE the New 52 adaptions and what they kept going on from some of the lore.
What lore? Are just Batman movies with little DC Characters.

I really like how they did Constantine in these movies and they got the best Constantine actor period. If you haven’t already watched it there is a live action Constantine series with the same actor from these animated movies. It was cancelled after only one season, although it was really well received by fans and critics and among fans the actor of John Constantine Matt Ryan is mostly accepted as the best actor to portray the character. He also later appeared on Arrow and then Legends of Tomorrow for 3 seasons. It sucks that they kinda forced him to retire from the role, because they have a new Constantine reboot coming out with a new actor. Either way I highly reccomend checking out all the live action Constantine appearances as well.

THIS is the problem that so many people can't seem to overcome about just how powerful Superman really is.
1) they can't reconcile that Clark could ever be PISSED OFF and desperate and turn so dark that he's literally more terrifying than Zod. Which he would be. Put Clark through all the same shit Anakin went through and there's NOTHING stopping him. I don't care WHO you throw in his way. NO ONE is stopping him.
First he doesn't even need to be ON Earth to take out the justice league. He can be sating on the moon and look at the Watchtower and blast it out of existence. THEN who's actually left that's strong enough to beat him??? Kara MAYBE. That's IT. Aside form the Lanters, ALL the others would be killed either in the tower's destruction or the vacuum of space. AND Since Superman has faster than the Speed Force flight, anyone saved by the Lanterns is dead in mili-seconds. They'd never see him coming. Not even Barry can doo something if there's nothing to use as ground to run on. How are they going to fight when they can't breath??? You are making SO MANY assumptions about someone who has proven he's the most powerful being in the universe. Did you NOT see Justice League and how VERY EASILY he brushed aside Wonder Woman. All she was, was annoyingly in his way. With one hand and barely any strength at all he had her struggling hard . Then WW, Cyborg and Arthur were ALL on him and he wasn't even remotely phased. THEN he looks right at Flash like "really kid?? who do you think I am, some thug from the street?" Barry HIMSELF was effing shocked that Clark saw him. Not to mention that Flash has only ever outran Superman in a foot race. Once flying Superman is not being left behind.

Martian manhunter is said to be just as strong as super and much smarter with the ability to be intangible and invisible. Captain marvel is just as durable as super plus just as strong but all his strength is magical. Wheen Billy has experience which is any Billy in 14 year old range he can walk down super easily and super would need help. Captain atom can literally just say fuck you and become a tornado of blazing kryptonite and red sun radiation and walk towards him. Dr fate stops him with a finger and rips every bit of solar energy out of him turning him to a raisin. AND I STILL CAN NAME A DOZEN OTHER LESSER KNOWN LEAGUERS THAT CAN PIMP SMACK HIM AROUND. NOW HOP OF THAT KRYPTONIAN DICK AND FACE THE MUSIC SUPES IS STRONG BUT HE AINT A GOD. Every time they have him be an antagonist or center a story around him they ALWAYS nerf the other characters. But maybe read up on the full justice league roster and you'll see how fucked he is if he turns evil and blows up the earth. Cuz the ones that remain will kill him in an instant.

Okay so its explained later in the movie but it is still kinda difficult to understand.
Why did Constantine run when Zatanna got attacked? Simple.
Before Superman invaded apokolips. Batman knew something was wrong, he considered the possibility that they may not return.
So Batman told Zatanna to put a spell on Constantine, the spell she put on him. Made him run away when Zatanna was killed.
Batman knew that if there original plan failed, Constantine would eventually put something together to save the world. So thats why Constantine ran.
Because Batman is an ass
Side note: Swamp thing didn’t die after destroying the Lava thingy, as long as plants still exist he can regrow his body.

Superman: Man of Tomorrow, Batman: Soul of the Dragon, Justice Society: World War II, Batman: The Long Halloween, and Injustice are separate.
Jjustice society, superman man of Tomorrow and long Halloween are connected tho, the same superman in man of tTomorrow teamed up with flash in the beginning of justice society, and flash showed up at the end of long Halloween
Now she’s gotta watch Superman: Man of Tomorrow since that’s set up for the new dc animated universe
If you want to see if it worked see Superman Man of Tomorrow followed by Justice Society WW2 then Batman the Long Halloween part 1 and 2, and then the most recent one Green Lantern Beware my Power.
Those movies are the new universe that Barry made at the end of this movie.

The first time i watched this i was so distraught. I honestly couldn't stop thinking about all the deaths for like a week. Never really read any of the comics and never watched anything relating to the Dark side of things, no pun intended. Always just enjoyed the stuff i grew up on with the heroes always winning or at least not dying but this one really put things into perspective as to how bad things could get if they made the universe more realistic in terms of threats
i really wish you would give the dark knight returns a chance. its really faithful to the comic. and batman is scary brutal in it.

More likely reason for Damian to withstand the omega beams for a few minutes is that Damian was enhanced to be a more superior human while he was in the womb, so maybe by being a superior human have him enough strength to not instantly die from the omega beams; even though it’s a guess there’s another thing to remember Damian has an iron will, yes taking the beams like that is a guaranteed death Damian had enough will (he is Batman’s son so he has a will of iron like his father) to say his final words to his father.

I wonder though, as you are a fan of the Batman Arkham series, if you would enjoy reacting to the OG Batman series. Batman the animated series, which was the first to have Kevin Conroy as Batman, and Mark Hamill as the Joker. Batman Mask of the Phantasm is arguably one of the best animated batman movies of all, and is set in that universe.

How could there not be enough action for you with The Death of Superman? There is an extremely long and epic fight between Superman and Doomsday in this movie and before that there is a fight scene between The Justice League and Doomsday in this movie. I was so excited for bloodlines that I kidnapped a friend who I sometimes watched these films with and we watched it together.
Neither of us were happy.
While I like that they made her closer to what I like about wonder woman I think they executed it really badly. Did not vibe.
I kind of preferred it when they had their very different kind of Diana up till this point. I could just judge that take on it's own merits.

One of the few DC adaptations in recent years that probably should have been longer. So much is skimmed over through throwaway lines and brief flashbacks. You'd think Batman killing the Joker would be a bigger deal than it is, but Harley Quinn just brings it up at one point and they move on.
I agreed with you until your last sentence. I don't know how in the context of the film with all the deaths and mind control, you would think that Bats killing the Joker would be a big deal, it's the end of their world, they are literally in survival mode.

Damian was never Bruce's equal when it came to hand to hand combat, only Dick could actually defeat Bruce, and the reason Damian didn't instantly die is because he has a form of super strength due to being bathed in the Lazarus pit since he was a baby
You forget Bruce wasn’t holding back against Damian while still brainwashed and against Dick he only tried to kill him when talia handed him the gun. But yeah only Dick can beat Bruce in h2h not Damian
This movie the Death of SHazam, the death of Batgirl, Damian got me, and when Damian died they hit me with his theme song.
I agree that it became underwhelming that it was already obvious for Flash to be the reset. Imagine if they showed Flash dying tho? That would be actually shocking. Then they'd have to find another way to fix everything.
