Little early to rank the worst Snow White, the worst has not yet been released. And for Gomez Addams, not quite fair to judge him on it as he was cast as a more faithful appearance of how Gomez is supposed to be in the comic. I'm also surprised you didn't add a worst of John Castle (Punisher) when there was few more actors to compare than Jack Reacher.
Add time stamps. morons
Halle Berry as Catwoman
Tom Hanks as Geppetto
Robert Downey Jr. as Dr. Doolittle
Luis Guzman is -- the physically most accurate portrayal of Gomez to the original 1950's comic's portrayal. The recent animated movies at least have *animation* to portray him as such, but you can tell that Luis Guzman was picked just because he's the closest physical live action portrayal of the character. Doesn't mean it's great, but I do appreciate what they were going for.
Also, this list isn't showing the worst person to actually play the role. It's the worst "great actor".
If you've seen the original New Yorker cartoons, the character (which was a caricature of politician Tom Dewey) , was described by Charles Addams as a jolly character, full of schemes. Guzman was nothing like that character. Guzman's Gomez only looked like the character Charles Addams drew, as his whole character was wanting to be with Morticia, and the fault was how badly the character was written.
I agree : I felt Morticia was miscast, while Gomez was perfect. It's just that Raul Julia created a Gomez so epic that everyone took him as the reference.
Maybe Season 2 will give him more of a chance to adapt to the role. And for the writers to adapt it to him.
Kristen Stewart is the worst Snow White
Rachel Zegler: Hold my apple
Bro maybe wait until it's out first at least?
@TheManOfSoManyHats she is not the right person for the part
@@nic3525 Maybe, maybe not, maybe she'll surprise us, who knows, chef is still in the kitchen.
@@TheManOfSoManyHats I am.not holding my breath after her latest movie ruined the hunger games franchise in my opinion
I didn't know Stewart was considered a great actress.
Tom Cruise as Reacher was part of Hollywood balancing. They had to cast someone a foot shorter to compensate for casting a Wolverine a foot taller.
😂😂👍🏽
I love that he's short, you can tell it bothers his arrogant a**
*skip to **2:10** to avoid shameless paid ads*
They’re not that shameless. Annoying, yes, but they’re what keeps some channels going. A necessary evil.
Appreciate it!
Respect❤

So Jared Leto's Joker is on here but not Jesse Eisenberg's Lex Luthor too?
Maybe they don’t see J Eisenburg as a great actor
@@dmichael8213 Good point!😂
Letoker is much, much worse than Eisenberg's Luthor.
@@dmichael8213 but they consider Leto "great" 🤔
@@user-lb9xw4xf2q How's that exactly?
Aside from the size pedantry, Tom Cruise was amazing in the first Reacher movie, especially in the fight scenes.
Cruise made for an excellent off-grid nameless dirfter type that Reacher is supposed to be. Ritchson might fit the physical description but frankly the guy makes Reacher come off as an overgrown meathead jock. At least Cruise made the character believable in his backstory.
Exactly, Ritchson is too wide a meat head.
Cruise was perfect. I never understood the hate
Not usually a fan of cruise, but u agree he killed it as Reacher, having not read any of the books at the time, the height difference between the book reacher and cruises reacher never bothered me .
Exactly. As a fan of Reacher novels I thought he really captured the spirit of the character. Yeah, he might not be the right height, but does it really matter when he got the vibe perfectly? You buy him as Reacher. Same could be said about Keanu Reeves as John Constantine. Unfortunately, too many people concentrated on superficial stuff.
I'm glad Once Upon A Time was mentioned three times. All the actors were great especially Ginnifer Goodwin (Snow White)
OK, this video needs a follow-up. George Clooney as Batman, David Niven as James Bond,, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Jackie Earl Haley as Freddy Krueger, Robert DeNiro as Frankenstein's monster, Kenneth Branagh as Hercule Poirot, Christian Bale as John Connor, Robert Downey Jr. as Sherlock Holmes, Benicio Del Toro as The Wolfman, Halle Berry as Catwoman, Harvey Keitel as the Devil ...
RDJ was a great Sherlock
Tom Holland as Nathan Drake and Tom Hanks as Colonel Tom Parker
I take issue with RDJ. I have seen a lot of adaptations of Sherlock Holmes (go back through the black and white versions, etc.) They actually did a good job with that adaptation. The most accurate? No, but since they were not trying to do that it really worked.
Love Kenneth B as Hercule Poirot. 🤷🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️
You don't follow up turds with more turds.
Nick Cage's Ghost Rider was pretty sad, but the WORST rendition of a character of all time would have to be Sylvester Stallone's Judge Dredd. It was always considered questionable, but then when Karl Urban came along and knocked it out of the park, we could all see how sad the Stallone version was.
Sorry, I just had to snicker a little at the pronunciation of Telly SAvalas' last name. And then I started again with Raul HOOlia! Anyhow, I enjoyed the video very much. My top choice would have been Jessie Eisenberg as Lex Luthor. I really like Eisenberg, but what a stinker of a performance. I know Clancy Brown was too old for the part, but he portrayed him to perfection in the Justice League animated tv show. Luthor is a cunning criminal, not criminally insane.
They really ranked Julia Roberts' Tinkerbell below the 2023 live action remake one...
I don’t even remember a Tinkerbell from the live action one… maybe they forgot too, when they were making the list 😂.
was just going to say they must not have watched that dumpster fire
@@Daeduluus I am not often surprised by how poorly a film is done, that was a doozy.
I feel like they were uncomfortable about the sexual implications of her version, which is understandable perhaps, however, the overall performance was still great, fitting the character well.
There was a 2023 Peter Pan movie?
Catherine Zeta Jones was worse as Morticia, at least Guzman looked comic strip accurate
People like you shouldn't be allowed to have opinions.
In many of these cases, the fault was not with the stars. They were the victims of bad writing.
To say that Julia Roberts was the worst Tinkerbell is just unfair. I thought she was perfect in the role in the context of the metafiction story.
Sally Fields was the best Aunt May. I’m sorry. She gave the best performance in the role, despite not really liking the movies herself. Her or the Spider-Verse version are the best. Marisa Tomei feels like an actual aunt at least to a 15 year old but it takes her lasts movie to do anything.
Finally somebody noticed that Jack Reacher isn't supposed to be 5'3" and pretty. He's an MP and built like a fucking tank because you need that if you're going to overpower Marines and and Rangers.
I mean, the new one is prettier than Cruise, so....
In Beauty and the Beast it felt that Watson's awful performance changed the undertones of the character. It became a tale of "how to marry a prince if you play your cards right". The animated film is more about "if I am a good person I will find better life and happiness". She was wooden and looked absolutely uninterested in what she was doing. In fact the film was saved by all the secondary characters because Dan Stevens also was quite unremarkable to say the least
Stallone as Judge Dredd.
Apart from the sets, clothing and gear, everything else was just so bad in that film.
The ad ends at 2:11.
The problem with Luis Guzman as Gomez was although he may have looked much like the character Charles Addams drew in the New Yorker, he lacked any character except for being horny for Morticia, There was no dimension to the character, and fortunately his appearance in Wednesday was mercifully brief.
Check your pronunciation of Telly Savalas’ name. Stupid auto-correct.
And Luis Guzman and Raul Julia 😂
@@DTA707
For a channel with negative opinions they often get the names wrong.
Telly Savalas . Aristotelis Savalas . Telly not Tony . Greek not Italian .
Telly
I liked kristen Stewart as snow white and emma watson as belle
Jack reacher being short shouldnt matter. Wolverine is supposed to be shorter
If Tom Cruise was cast in the title role in "Annie", the movie would be awful no matter how good a job Cruise did at it, because people expect Annie to look like a 10-year-old girl. Same principle, less exaggerated, with him trying to play Jack Reacher: the skill was there, but he just didn't resemble the character.
Alan ritchson IS Reacher
Fanbois gonna fanboi
Loving all the Once Upon A Time shoutouts
My fav Spider Man flick is Spider-Man 2. Doc Oc was the Man
Agree with all but Chris Pine. I really liked him as Jack Ryan playing against Kevin Costner.
Yea the Ben Affleck version was a travesty!
I liked Snow White and the Huntsman 😳
It was a take on the story I hadn’t seen or read before.
I kinda think the whole dumbass scandal wound up overshadowing the movie.🤷♀️
Holy S-word! I did not realize Branagh directed Shadow Recruit. Definitely not up to his usual standards.
Almost none of these can be blamed on the actor. It's almost always the writers.
And yet Jared Leto redeemed himself with just one scene in Zack Snyder's Justice. Proving it wasn't the actor, it was the script
Luis Guzman actually looks like the comic rendition the show was based on.
Jared Letos Joker (minus the look) was superior to Joaquin Phoenix's pathetic simpleton. Are we really supposed to accept that Phoenix version is the arch nemesis to Batman?
Jared Leto's Joker reminds me more like the one from Batman Beyond.
I feel like you wasted the number one slot. Yeah, she wasn't good, but that's inherent in a soulless live-action Disney remake.
I think there'd be competition between Dominic Purcell as Dracula and Gerard Butler as Dracula (though, might be some semantics over them actually being "great" actors)
You could do a weird tie for Ryan Reynalds as Deadpool, since he plays both the best live-action one and the worst one.
Oscar Isaac as Apocalypse. Colin Farrell as Alexander the Great.
Remember, only a small proportion of movie stars are great actors, and only a small proportion of great actors are movie stars. Actors play characters. Stars play themselves - but it works, because they have charisma.
The part about 'Jesus' role, listing a variety of those having played Him.. seems they forgot the well known (or should be) Mr. Powell in Jesus of Nazareth.
Yes, he was great in the role and almost always forgotten about.
Are you saying Leto is "great" because he won an Oscar for Dallas Buyers Club? Other than that role and Requim are the only movies he is good in. Also neither are "Leto leading" films.
I liked Morbius ... well maybe cuz I was on my phone most of the time.... what's the story about again ? 😂😂😂
+Deathstroke4200 - Anybody forget Mr Nobody, Highway, and Lord of War?
@@krishanubanerjee6955 Personally I haven't seen Mr. Nobody. Lord of War he did good at portraying a conflicted drug addict. But I wouldn't say he was "great". Nicolas Cage did great portraying his character, I would go as far as saying the actor who played the Dictator was better and more interesting than Leto's character. IMO
@@Deathstroke4200 I respect your opinion, but let's agree to disagree.
He was also good in Fight Club, although indeed a minor role.
I disagree with many of these.
"10 great actors"... I only saw 9 there. One-face Stewart...
someone needs to cast Kristen Stewart in a role suited to her skills. Perhaps a statue or a cardboard cutout?
I enjoyed Cruise's Reacher film, but they should have called the charecter something else. He's so far from the Jack Reacher of the books that it's almost like casting Jodie Foster in a role meant for Deborah DeBicky.
Cruise played Reacher just as I've read him in the books. The size thing may have actually helped in the films, because he wasn't such a giant man in them.
I liked Emma watson as belle. I thought ewan mcgreger was worse as lumiere he accent come on
Skipped a commercial just to be met by a commercial
Jared Leto should just stay away from comic book movies
And other movies too, plus rock bands and probably most other things.
@@F1jones😂😂😂
@@F1jones like house of gu.... nevermind
And underaged girls
@@user-lb9xw4xf2q this dude is Chock full of surprises
whats up it’s these whatculture videos that just end? no closing or anything.
Snow White and the Huntsman was full of A-list actors who were at the top of their craft. Everything about the film was great EXCEPT the 2x4 walking across the screen called Kristen Stewart. Every amazing scene was ruined the moment the breathing mannequin walking into frame. It would have been more believable to have 80's AI CGI a muppet into each scene.
I heard Joaqine Phoenix and thought they were gonna say Joker. The "Jesus Christ" confused me more. Like, woah. Was it that bad? I thought we generally liked him. 😅
Hallie berry in the cat woman
My favourite "Spiderman" was the pilot of the live action "Amazing Spiderman" TV series with Nicholas Hammond which was released in my country, Australia, in cinemas, so I count it, as it got a theatrical release outside of the USA.
They do count, as I went to the cinema, in the UK to watch all 4 films.
I am sorry I like Leto Joker over Phoenix...Joker was a cross between Taxi Driver and Fallen Down. They just put Joker make up on character. Do think Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor should be on list.
In which universe are Roberts, Stewart and Leto great actors?
Sam rami Spider-Man 2 personally my favourite one
Michael b Jordan as human torch
12:19: Don't forget Kevin Michael Richardson and Jeff Bennett.
Damm they trying add support again but instead of putting it at the end of the video it’s now smack dab at the beginning.
Tom Cruise running away from gay thoughts makes so much sense....
Casper Van Dien/Kellan Lutz as Tarzan
Dolph Lundgren as The Punisher
and just for fun...Vincent D'Onofrio as Thor (if you know, you know.)
Adventure's in babysitting/a night on the town depending on the country
Chris Pine could be on this list twice, once for Jack Ryan, and again for James Kirk.
When Jeffrey Hunter played Jesus his performance was called I was a teenage Jesus.
I loved that they included John Hurt from History of the World Part I.
"Casino Royal" was superb, but I found all the rest of the Daniel Craig 007 movies rather forgettable. Too much private back-story that always felt a bit forced to me, but it is of course a matter of personal taste.
Long before Jack Reacher, there was Cabot Cain. He was six-seven, had a photographic memory and had degrees in mechanical and chemical engineering. Makes you think.
The average concern for faithfulness to source material has gone from so-so to nil in recent decades. Case in point: Marissa Tomei is too young to play Aunt May, and there's no attempt by the production to make her the Multiversal counterpart to the familiar, venerable character.
Fair to say this goes for Sally Field too, of course.
Except that, as Peter was only 15, his aunt needed to be in the 35 to 40 age range; so she was right for that version of May. I always wondered if Peter's aunt and uncle from the comics, 70s films and cartoons, was just 'familial names' to call them by when his parents were killed because they were, at least, his grandparents age.
I think you're a bit premature on Snow White.
I think that you are right.
I like Chris Pine but they shoved him into to many franchise at one time.
Got my like with the insinuation tha DDL is the greatest actor alive.
Because he is.
You forgot LA BELLE ET LA BETTE - actually, Josette Day at 30+ was unconvincingly mature for the role.
Disagree about Jared Leto; party due to his fame, Jack Nicholson was less convincing
Kristen Stewart turning Snow White into Joan of Arc was pretty cool.
Chris Pine was even less convincing as James T Kirk (not so many to compare with) after dozens of hours of TV, movies and some animations.
Julia Roberts might be taken as a 'realistic' 1990s version of what a fairy would look like, and was probably less sexualised than the Disney cartoon Tinkerbelle.
Belle - 2 L , Bête: 1 T , cuz a Bette with two T is a vegetable 😂 so that would be a weird story 😂
The MCU Spidey trilogy as well as CA: Civil War & AV: Infinity War.
My favorite movie Jesus: Alan Arbus in Greaser’s Palace. The actor also shined in MASH the TV series.
Leto’s Joker was awesome. I’ll die on that hill.
Must be a hill comprised of shit.
I liked Jared Leto as joker. The films are what let him down.
As bad as Waltz's version of Blofeld was, I'd actually argue that Charles Gray's version was the worst overall. Not through any fault of Gray, but Diamonds Are Forever just turned the character into a complete joke.
The whole "Joker" movie was horrible. Leto was a better Joker than Phoenix
Joaquin Phoenix's Joke was fuckin terrible. That movie was terrible. Leto's version of the character was at least more faithful to the comics (at least the comic material they were pulling from).
You're playing Devil's Advocate
@@liampatrick3110 No I'm not. I thought the movie was straight up garbage.
Love your content
Putting Guzman's Gomez here, but not CZJ's Morticia is actually INSANE
Jared Leto joker in the Snyder cut of justice league kind of redeemed him for me
Leto played the Joker right, just not the right face for the part. Not like he did the set design on any of the shots. The movie just failed in the end as it was just a bunch of short stories edited into a main story that just was not there. The character intros were fine. The main story lacked in substance and overall cohesion.
The next one did the same thing, but did it right.
Was the S-word Spiderman?
I rather watch Jared Leto as the joker than Joaquin Phoenix.
You're in the minority! -_-
@@liampatrick3110 Is he really though? You don't know that for a fact.
Here are 10 actors who played the worst versions of characters...followed immediately by an unannounced lenghty embedded ad...gee thanks
"Peter Pan's Tinkerbell has been portrayed near countless times on screen...some of the more notable performances include Virgina Brown Faire in the 1924 film"......yes. Of course. A notable performance by the universally well known Virginia Brown Faire, who's a renowned international celebrity actress. A performance that's literally 100 hundred years old and I'm sure most of us have seen and remember fondly....idiots...
Leto's Joker was the closest to the comics than any other before or since. The comic Joker is a Sociopathic Psychopath with no remorse for anything he does because he does it all in the name of making himself laugh. Ledger's Joker was a combination of Caesar Romero and Jack Nicholson's Jokers, more comic and camp than psychosis. Ledger's fanboys are almost as bad.
Joe Mantegna as Spenser. I'd say Mark Wahlberg in the same role, but it would be a stretch to call Marky Mark a great actor.
I'm sorry but I'm voting for YOUNG aunt may, first time ever an MCU character died and I felt nothing at her loss only felt bad bc of what Peter was going through.
Also, casting needs to reakize if youre gojng to cast for snow white maybe stop making the queens 20xs hotter, snow is supposed to be fairest of them all after all
Best spider movie was a National Geographic documentary
Kristen Stewart should not be here - she can't act her way out of a wet paper bag and you should never make the evil queen so much more attractive than the title,
Tinkerbell was a bxxxh! Even in the original story she is just a narcissist.
Leto ??? Leys see him actually ACT in SOMETHING. Yet to be seen...
Any Disney live action remake is the death knell of any project, actor or production team.
Nah, Guzman played a good Gomez. And yes, he was better than the awesome Curry and Astin. Why, he was the closest to looking like the original. The only thing that keeps him down is Raul Julia was just so damn awesome in the role, and Astin has nostalgia bullshit where people think “the old one in my childhood was so good” even if it wasn’t all that great.
Disney definitely has a problem creating animated stories with specific criterias and just going against everything when it's time to cast for a live action ...
Need another list. Could not fit them all in 1 list
Joaquin Phoenix is not only a TERRIBLE actor, but his King of the Incels was no better than Leto's mumble rapper garbage.
Hard disagree with Aunt May. As with most things the worst take was what the MCU did.
1:55 Rank up CHIKEN
I didn't mind Luis as Gomez. It wasn't great but I don't think it was all bad
Heath Ledger - Joker
3:00 - 3:04 Is she referring to just her character or all the characters in The Amazing Spider-Man? Gwen Stacey is definitely not a one-dimensional character in the films.
Plus I liked Spiderman/Peter Parker more in these films than the other ones.
Just her character
Sorry, Chris Pine was a more believable Jack Ryan than Ben Affleck! I love Affleck in several other movies, but neither of them were any Batman movies or Jack Ryan. Maybe because Chris Pine has been in more action movies than Ben Affleck and that adds to my bias, but that's just where I stand on this specific movie...
I liked "...No Way Home".
uh I loved chris pines jack ryan!!
Is Kristen Stewart a great actress though?
I don't really care for Tom Cruise as a person, but he did channel Jack Reacher's character and personality pretty well. But face it, Jack Reacher is a huge guy... it's central to his character. I have read all of the series.
