Angelina Jolie’s Tomb Raider is a campy masterpiece, as is the 00s Charlie’s Angels. How very dare you.
Masterpiece....? You're funny
Open up a dictionary and find the word masterpiece because you clearly have no clue what it means
It is a masterpiece
Agreed.
@@step9624: “campy masterpiece” - kind of like The Evil Dead and Lost Boys and Boondock Saints. Are they Oscar winners? Absolutely not. But are they great in a cheesy way? Absolutely yes!
Angelina Jolies Tomb Raider wasn’t terrible.
And Jolie actually looks and sounds like an English Noblewomen.
Tomb was pants
Oh it really was
We'll just have to agree to disagree.
It wasn’t bad, just mediocre in my opinion. It has good moments just too uneven to be great. But Jolie really did lifted the script, so I agree with the overall analysis.
Angelina Jolie is the perfect Lara Croft. She's got the look, the skills and the angst. Dont even compare.
Didn't have the accent, though.
Lara's English none of the actresses got the accent right
@@timidwolf I thought Angelina did a perfect english accent.
@@Wolfsheim23 I assure you, it wasn't. It certainly wasn't like any English accent I've ever heard, and I'm from the same area the character is said to be from.
@@timidwolf Ok not how most people would recognize. It sounded great to me. Much better than when Michael C Hall did it. Ha which isn't saying much but still 100x better. Most people seem to love her Lara Croft. Also I've heard many actual english people speak and it's not all the same way. Some is more Hoity/Haughty like hers, and lots of other variations, just like in America.
McG's version of Charlie's Angels had more to offer than Elizabeth Banks' version
Yes then she blamed Men for not showing up in theaters
Ready for a _Cocaine Bear_ video game, though.
I guess. Offering one or two is technically more than offering zero.
It`s Galactus not Galacticus......Research people,research.
This channel is notorious for butchering pronunciation of names. They've done it at Raul Julia's expense multiple times already.
They do have English accents. Maybe that plays a role.
@@bigblueboyscout1nah, they’re just reading a script. They have no idea what any of the shit they’re reading means.
@@Brakdayton Fair
"Galacticus" sounds like the name of a lost Roman legionnaire.
I don't understand how CHARLIE'S ANGELS can be #1. The two movies from the early-2000's are generally well-liked and still remembered today. Maybe they're not perfect, but they're certainly not the worst ever.
Charlie’s Angels 2000, wasn’t terrible. It was the reboot that was terrible
The TV show showed that the characters were police officers where their training would come in useful for the missions they would undertake for Charlie.
But the movies, there wasn't any of that. How does horse jumping qualify to going undercover or using firearms?
@@michaelclark7447 It was satire.
@@michaelclark7447Big freaking whoop. It was more fun and made more sense that they weren't police officers.
Surprised Dark Phoenix isn't on the list.
It should be.
That's a better one for this list than some of the others.
I suppose because it is a third sequel in a reboot timeline, so doesn't count as a reboot anymore.
the two original Charlie's Angel's movies were great...
With "Resident Evil" when I watched the BTS doco and saw the writer-director say that Chris Redfield believes everything Umbrella is doing is right, I knew "Yep, this person doesn't get it."
Chris was suspicious and distrustful of Umbrella, NOT supportive.
Angelina Jolie was awesome. She looked like the character, she had good chemistry with the cast, and it was a cool adventure story. Idk why some people have a problem with it.
Cradle of Life was much better
Both Jolie films were fun and aimed just about right for action, humour and mystical adventures.
The first attempts with Tomb Raider and Charlie's Angels were still enjoyable, which is more than you could say about the follow ups.
Men in tights is a global treasure and formed who I am as an adult 😂
eh Jolie's first Tomb raider movie was fun. Vikander's movie was mediocre cuz they didnt really understand the reboot
I think the reboot could have worked if they had kept the supernatural elements, such an odd decision to remove that staple.
@@timidwolf agree. they didnt understand the reboot game and chose to not lean into the supernatural elements the same way. very odd decisions that stunted the potential
In both cases, they had an actor who could pull off what was needed, but no script or vision.
@@timidwolf It was done because of the people financing the movie, AKA China. This is partly why Himiko had zero powers, Japan was barely mentioned, why they left from Hong Kong and not Yokohama, Sam was cut from the story and Lu Ren added, and why they changed Dragon's Triangle to the Devil's Sea (more known to China as the latter).
Here's the thing, some of these are fun for the sake of being fun and deliver on said fun. That shouldn't be labeled as bad
Most people don't think they are bad, just channels like this one.
The "doesn't need to be made into a movie" thing is a pet peeve. Nothing needs to be made into a movie. Also, Robinhood shouldn't be on this list. It hasn't had 2 bad adaptations. It's had multiple adaptations, some work, some don't.
Agree with the general consensus on Tomb Raider. I liked it and I’m not really an Angelina fan. Especially when it came out, it gave young women their own Indiana Jones. It was at the beginning of the strong, female trope, which I certainly appreciated.
And Charlie’s Angels… Was fun. As a little girl when the original series came out, I did not feel betrayed at all. The first one was terrific. Complete tongue in cheek scenery chewing.
I know it's not an entire franchise, but the Dark Phoenix saga handling by either of the X-men iterations (or generations) went from bad to worse. There was great potential, but somehow, not much was learned from the first stumble.
The key piece of evidence that not much was learned is the fact that _the same writer was involved in both attempts!_
this is why I want the MCU to BUILD to the Phoenix Saga, and use the 90s animated series for inspiration on how to get it right. Give us the Shi'ar & the Starjammers, have Jean go away for a while as Phoenix and return for the Dark Phoenix story with the Hellfire Club and the fight on the moon against the Shi'ar Imperial Guard. But the important part is to build up to it properly and not rush the big moments
“Robin Hood: Men in Tights” the best live-action Robin Hood? I mean, I think it’s great, but I hope you see the Errol of your ways and watch “Adventures of Robin Hood.”
I thought ld mis heard her, thank you !
Plus, Sean Connery and Audrey Hepburn in 'Robin & Marian'.
Jesus, there have been SO MANY adaptations!
I think they were sticking to more recent adaptations.
The first Hitman was fun, and so was the first Tomb Raider.
Funny what you say about Timothy for Hitman as I remember seeing he was excited to make a second one
And he was great in the role too.
First Hitman was one of my favorite movies ever.
I think that everything that this video said about the first one actually applies only to the reboot.. it reminded me nothing of the game or the character. It was just an action movie with a slight visual resemblance to the game
Robin Hood, you missed a few, Errol Flynn's in the 1930s, Patrick Bergins which came out around the same time as Prince Of Thieves, there were a few others as well.
While Prince of Thieves was pretty gag worthy, it at least had the awesome Alan Rickman as the Sheriff
And Morgan Freeman. With quotes like, "Allah loves wonderous variety" almost made Westerners like Islam.
Kiss the Girls and Along Came a Spider are both great fun.
I loved all the original movies on this list. Milla Jovovich - Resident Evil, Angelina Jolie - Tomb Raider, Sienna Miller- G.I. Joe, Jessica Alba - Fantastic Four, Drew Barrymore, Lucy Liu, Cameron Diaz - Charlies Angels, . Loved Street Fighter and Hitman. Never saw Haunted Mansion or Robin Hood.
Oh, come ON! The Adventures of Robin Hood (1938), directed by Michael Curtiz (Casablanca, etc, etc, etc) and starring Errol Flynn, Olivia de Haviland, Basil Rathbone, and the greatest collection of character actors ever, is one of the all-time classics of cinema.
The Adventures of Robin Hood with Errol Flynn and Basil Rathbone is a classic, with iconic set pieces and performances, setting the hero film archetype that is still used to this day.
The true best adaptation of Robin Hood
Um…Errol Flynn? “The Adventures of Robin Hood”?
Thank you.
Sean Connery - Robin and Marian (1976).
Because Hollywood movies started in the 1990s, apparently.
@@renomaniquis4008 I've heard things before the 90's referred to as vintage. Young people these days. 🙄
@@Thermalions I mean, sad but true, it was over 30 years ago; in 1900, they'd call cupboards from 1870 "vintage" too.
I saw the first Street Fighter movie in the theater on Christmas when I was 16. I was left wanting. However, M. Bison has one the cinema’s best disses.
“For you, the day Bison graced your village with his presence was the greatest moment of your life. For me, it was Tuesday.”
NGL, Raul Julia carried that movie. RIP to a legend.
@@Duomaxwell02M No doubt. All while fighting cancer.
The og haunted mansion movie is considered a cult classic
The reboot I hear wasn’t that bad either
A cult classic for who? 10 year olds?
The remake is miles better than the 2003 one
Both are fine fun films
@@danielrubinstein896 says who?????????
The remake was decent.
The haunted mansion in 2023 was really good
There have been dozens of Robin Hood movies! The best of them include the classic 1938 Errol Flynn vehicle “The Adventures of Robin Hood” and the splendid 1976 version for grown-ups, “Robin and Marian,” starring Sean Connery, Audrey Hepburn, and Robert Shaw.
Yeah that was a terrible comment betraying 0 research or knowledge of film history. I'd already forgotten that the Ridley Scott and 2018 versions existed; the Errol Flynn movie is one of the best action movies of all time.
Why is no one mentioning the best, the animated "Robin Hood" with the best songs?
Errol Flynn Robin Hood.
Well, of course... Iconic

“Galacticus”
Ok so she did miss pronounce the name right?
Hahaha I thought it was the YT subtitles!
When the movie came out, I asked on a message board if they actually showed Galactus. Someone respond "What? Do you really want to see a giant purple guy?" "YES, I really want to see a giant purple guy. I want to see Galactus."
Nah Prince Of Thieves is a really good Robin Hood film and nobody can convince me otherwise
I agree. I think it would have been great with a better budget.
Sarcasm? Kevin Costner doesn’t even an attempt a British accent. Robin Hood is quintessentially English he must have an English accent that’s the bare minimum.
@@kindseyvaughn8667 Nope. As a Brit myself it's one of the better Robin Hood films that have been made despite the accent. I mean the last two Robin Hood films had D-Day ships and modern day military tactics in them so the accent isn't a big deal, story-wise.
@@kindseyvaughn8667For all we know, many centuries ago English people may have had an American accent, not totally impossible.
Men In Tights is better.
Personal opinion, of course, but I really enjoyed the Angelina Jolie “Croft” movies, and the two Diaz, Barrymore, Liu “Charlie’s Angels” movies were also great fun. Although “Fantastic Four” and “Fantastic Four - Rise Of The Silver Surfer” were a bit clunky, they were still far, far more entertaining than the terrible Trank 2015 reboot.
One adaptation of Robin Hood I didn't see mentioned in the comments is the classic Disney version. That's probably the best one imo.
I absolutely agree, I love that movie!
A snippet is shown on tv every year at christmas here in Sweden.
Hey, don’t have a dig at the first Doom movie, that was a great romp.
Dune.
@@jayluck8047 That too.
You bite your tongue when it comes to Kevin Costner’s Robin Hood. That movie is cinematic gold!!!
came to the comments SPECIFICALLY to see if someone else was defending it. It's such fun and so quotable!!
Costner has memorably bad accent, feels too contemporary, with silly feathered hair, and looks tired & bloated. They should have made one with Mel Gibson instead.
Yes! How dare they cut out the scene where a Celt is ripping the clothes off a little girl and about to rape her! 😑
@@brianstorm5488 I have three words for you: but Alan Rickman!
Yeah, it was campy, but really fun with amazing music! It was like Independence Day but no technical stuff to screw up!
Also, it starred 1) hands down *_the_* hottest chick of the 80s, Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio, 2) Kevin Costner, 3) Alan Rickman, and 4) Morgan Freeman!
How Dare You! Angelina Jolie as Tomb Raider was fantastic!
They still haven’t got The Punisher right on the big screen. Although I personally enjoyed War Zone as a guilty pleasure.
Now that we’ve seen “Cats”, does anybody feel confident that a “Thundercats” movie would still work?
Robin Hood shouldn't count as a franchise. That's like saying King Arthur or Dracula is a franchise. It's a classic character and story that has been adapted numerous times over the decades to varying degrees of quality.
Pirates of the Caribbean is also based on a theme park ride; Haunted Mansion isn't the only one.
They mention the _Pirates_ franchise as an exception.
20th Century Fox had to produce a 2nd Fantastic Four movie reboot in order to keep its license from Marvel Entertainment. Every bit of news regarding Josh Trank's reboot did not settle well with fans online. His awful reaction AGAINST those fans made the movie less palatable.
What is astoundingly hilarious is that Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer portrayed Galactus as a giant, malevolent cloud, which was just a very awful decision. To top that, the creators of Ryan Reynold's unbeloved disasterpiece Green Lantern decided to make the main bad guy Parallax into a giant cloud, apparently with the idea: "We know how to repeat others' bad decisions just to show that we can make bad decisions."
My favourite adaptation of Robin Hood has always been the British TV series Robin of Sherwood with Michael Praed and then Jason Connery in the lead role the supporting cast was great also theme tune by Clannad.
Finally someone mentioned it. That series is iconic in some parts of the world and age groups. Largely due to the soundtrack.
Showing my age but I grew up on the Richard Greene television series and it still holds a place in my heart.
@@naomiandtommccabeI think he was the first person to really stick in people's head as Robin Hood like Basil Rathbone for Sherlock Holmes.
The first Tomb Raider movie is excellent, it just is. It's got crazy good action sequences, good humour and the cast had excellent on screen chemistry. If you didn't enjoy the 00's Charlie's Angels, it's possible you don't understand satire at all. They were fantastic. Resident Evil did go off the rails at a certain point, but the first two were very good. How do you call Kiss the Girls anything less than awesome? Did you not see it?
It just occurred to me Micheal Bay's Transformer movies belong here😂
first one was good.
@skipper4126 Agree but the potty jokes man.
@@skipper4126 it was okay. Bumblebee was good. The original 80s animated movie is still the GOAT
Kiss the girls was actually good though?
Disney's animated version and Men in Tights are the only Robin Hood movies we need.
You need to watch the Errol Flynn film (The Adventures of Robin Hood), to see where those 2 got many ideas from.
Hey now - I really enjoyed the Charlie's Angles movies.
Angelina Jolie Tomb Raider was awesome
The McG Charlie's Angels movie was terrific fun. And I'm sorry, but dinging "Charlie's Angels" for embracing the "male gaze" is like complaining that women bounce in slow motion on Baywatch. You may be missing the point. If you thought people were watching the original TV show because female detectives are awesome, then you clearly have never heard the 1970s phrase "jiggle TV". (PSST! A lot of TV shows ONLY existed because of that. There was no Internet. There wasn't even videotape.)
I will not stand for the slander of the 2000’s Charlie’s Angels just so you can include the Kristen Stewert one on this list, and at the top as well.
Great movies. No issue. How dare you.
I’d have to say both ‘Tomb Raider’ adaptations worked for the games that it embodied. The 2013 game was a different vibe. Aspects of the film were a bit corny, but the actress portrayal was spot on, in both instances.
Robin hood shouldn't be on this list b/c it's been adapted approximately 10000 times. Only Sherlock Holmes has been adapted more.
Prince of thieves was awesome
I liked Oliphant's Hitman. I agree it wasn't a great movie, though. It's a guilty pleasure of mine.
The only Robin Hood that kind of made sense was Mel Brooks'. And without Alan Rickman, Costner's version would be utter crap.
Nothing wrong with Angelina Tomb Raider, Robin Hood Prince of Thieves or McG Charlie's Angels.
Correction, Emma, Errol Flynn's The Adventures of Robin Hook is the All Time Greatest Adaptation. Look for it. Find it. Watch it. Then admit when you're wrong. Men In Tights IS a great #2 because it so righteously lampoons the Kevin Costner Robin Hood film.
Mel Brooks' Robin Hood adaptation as the best to date. Sooooooo... Michael Curtiz's Oscar-nominated The Adventures of Robin Hood (1938) doesn't exist, neither do Disney's version (1973), Robin and Marian (1976) and probably others. That's way when a ranking list usually says "of all time" and just quotes films, movies or series from the 90s or later, it's most likely and understatement if not a product of poor and neasighted work.
U forgot tomorrow land
If the missions from Hitman movies were played on the video game, 47 would receive the rating of MASS MURDERER for most of them, which in Hitman is the equivalent of a large red F on your English test. In a properly executed Hitman mission...
- Only the target dies.
- Either his death appears accidental, or his body isn't found until later.
- 47 uses stealth, disguises, and distraction to go unnoticed.
- The overall scene is undisturbed to the end, as opposed to screams and fleeing civilians.
That doesn't mean a Hitman movie can't feature the occasional blown mission that yields a high body count. But I saw both movies, and they needed more fiber wire and less two handed Silverballer blasting.
The funniest part of the second Hitman film is that it is just an elaborate ad for Singapore.
I enjoyed the Jolie movies, though haven't seen the new one.
That said, a lot of these properties feel like they would fit better as a long-form TV show.
Also... wait, the Mel Brooks does better than the Errol Flynn adaptation?
I notice that there are no mentions of earlier Robin Hood movies, like those ones starring Errol Flynn. But, on the subject of Robin Hood, what could be a really good adaptation could be developments from the 80s TV series Robin of Sherwood. For me, that was the perfect adaptation which was true to a historical adaptation which also blended in the magical and religious elements into it too. If only something could be adapted from that sauce.
Robin of Sherwood, (retitled Robin Hood in the US, because 'Americans').
That series is great. Particular Season 1.
@@Thurgosh_OG I know. Trying to find the series online is quite difficult, when the places which have it only call it Robin Hood, when I am trying to find Robin of Sherwood.
Was a bit confused about the Alex Cross sequel to the sequel. Not often you hear about the third movie being called a sequel.
Isn't that called a threequel?
At the risk of being "that guy" sequel means in a sequence not second. Once a film is made all additional movies that continue the character are sequels (just remaking doesn't make it a sequel so you wouldn't call Prince of Thieves a sequel to Errol Flynn's Robin Hood, but The Godfather III is a sequel to both the first and second)
All this time I thought Hitman: Agent 47 was just a sequel to the first Hitman movie. Had no idea it was a reboot. Of course my memory of both those movies is a blur because I only watched them one time back when they came out.
The girl who talks in this video is crazy. Angelina Jolie's Tomb Raider films are a lot of fun. I have both of them in my top 10 Video games films.
She's (Ellie) reading a script. We don't know how she really feels about these films or if she's even seen any of them
Trial and error
Keep trying till u get it right practice makes perfect right
Why is pheobee waller bridge so important in the film industry right now? Something Im missing?
the 1st Fantastic Four movie, 1st Charlie's Angels movie, Lara Croft: Tomb Raider and Street Fighter are all just fun movies. Street Fighter isn't exactly good by any normal measure but it's entertaining just just for Raul Julia's scenery chewing awesomeness as Bison. The others are just overhated IMO. Also, G.I. Joe can work great as a movie....case in point, the animated 80s movie set within the run of the animated TV series. Live-Action is where the IP stumbles of course, but it CAN work
In Tyler Perry's defense (and I apologize to his fans for my opinion) to substitute Morgan Freeman in a reboot is like trying to make gold from rocks. Morgan's a legend for a reason.
Take the Tomb Raider films off the list! They are all great in there's own ways.
You can't include Robin Hood. It's a constant rebootable in Hollywood. And since Prince of Thieves actually made money, including it as a "terrible adaptation" is incorrect anyway. Instead, you should have included a Hercules bullet. While I enjoyed Dwayne Johnson's Hercules, it didn't perform well, and the one a few years later was forgettable. It's also been a staple of Hollywood for many decades.
Men in Tights will always be the best Robin Hood movie.
1st Tomb Raider was dope, Charlies Angeles was great &Full Throttle worked, Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves was a classic in America &the Resident Evil franchise's first five films were great zombie flicks, just not great Resident Evil films but I enjoyed every film in theaters
You forgot they made a Charlie's Angels series between the two film attempts that only lasted one season because it couldn't make up its mind as to what genre it wanted to be.
The 2015 fantastic four movie was also made so they wouldn't lose the rights. Fox just spent way more money than they did in the 90d.
Street Fighter shouldn't have been on this list as it wasn't 2 different adaptions, but 1 adaption and a spinoff. Mortal Kombat should take it's place on the list.
I like the first Mortal Kombat film.
The Animated G.I. Joe film is a fun ride at least, as is Street Fighter. Raul Julia's performance is iconic, but Street Fighter has more to offer than that: "QUICK! Change the channel!"
Eh, the Scott and Crowe Robin Hood wasn't THAT terrible, I liked it, and it's what got me interested in learning the history of King John Lackland and the Magna Carta. Prior to this I was still a history nerd, but all I was interested in regarding British history was the events in and around 1066 the Norman Invasion and Conquering of England, and the events of the First War of Scottish Independence (which I became interested in after watching Braveheart).
Bad movies are subjective as everyone is not going to love the same movie made
I watched the first Charlie’s Angels movies for Bill Murray’s and Tim Curry’s male bonding scenes.
I didn’t think Fantastic Four was terrible and although not great Rise of the Silver Surfer wasn’t terrible. I enjoyed Hitman and nowhere near terrible. As for Tomb Raider well it’s nowhere terrible, second one isn’t good, punching a shark kinda killed it for me but both are watchable and harmless fun. And I think you missed the point of Charlie’s Angles as it was deliberately made to be bad and OTT as a parody of its genre and I found them hilarious for that aspect.
So does Whatculture believe there have only been four adaptations of Robin Hood, or is it just that movies made before 1991 don’t exist to them?
If you're going to watch Robin Hood, the 1938 "The Adventures of Robin Hood" with Errol Flynn is the best one ever made (IMO of course)
I wonder how Paul Walker's Hitman film would have been. Nothing like that reboot one i think. Because he was cast first. They also should have ended Fast and Furious at Part 7. Perfect Ending for the Series.
The animated Resident Evil movies are way better than the live action ones. Also, the Muppets version of Haunted Mansion is the best version for me. It’s great fun.
AVI ARAD made the 2005s FANTASTIC FOUR just as an excuse for him to sell toys
The characters were shallow, the action was limited, and the story went nowhere
avi arad is the worst
It was also made for Sony to keep the "Fantastic 4" licence.
@@dhenderson1810 F4 was at Fox.
The Adventures of Robin Hood from 1938 starring Errol Flynn is the best Robin Hood movie
The reason Mel Brooks' Men in Tights is considered the "best" Robin Hood is because he made a parody. Like everything else Brooks does, it is extremely funny and that's what people like: the humor. You can not consider that a Robin Hood story any more than you can consider Blazing Saddles a western or Scary Movie a horror film. I personally prefer the grounded Patrick Bergin version to the Kevin Costner one. Both came out in 1991, but the Bergin one is better. (Alan Rickman is a gem, but they overdo it). I really liked what Ridley Scott did in the Russell Crowe Robin Hood (try to establish it historically and a mature romance between Blanchett and Crowe) But if I'm being honest, the best Robin Hood is the Disney one from 1973. That one holds up nicely.
The Muppets version of the Haunted Mansion was fun
Raul Julia's performance spares the first Street Fighter from being considered terrible.
G.I. Joe SHOULD be an awesome movie if you just brought Larry Hama on board to plot the damn thing. The guy took a toy idea and turned it into an animated series and comic book series that have had amazing longevity because there's actually some depth to the characters. Hollywood's snobbery towards anyone who isn't in the film industry has sunk many a comic book adaptation, and G.I. Joe is a prime example.
Angelina Jolie was perfect as Lara Croft whereas Alicia Vikander had none of those needed curves,in fact she could probably hide behind a lamp post.
Instead of "Rise of Silver Surfer" they should have spun Michael Chiklis off into his own film. He was the best thing (pun not intended) about the first movie.
"We are having a new Tomb Raider" ok, maybe they can make it work out this time. "Headed by Phoebe Waller Bridge" (...) GOODBYE!
Are we hating on PWB because of Indiana Jones?! Have you not seen “Fleabag”?!
@@Alexander_Stern1she was pretty bad as a lead in an established adventure franchise (granted, the whole movie was so-so at best), why would she do a good job in TR? BTW, Fleabag is in my to-see list, but I don't want any more feminist "in your face" rhetoric, so I'm kinda avoiding it. No, I don't know if it's the case, but it all points that way.
Fleabag is so much more than that. You're missing out
I’m with you. Her name is basically poison now. After her influence on Solo and Indy 5, I only see her ranking any other IPs
@@elyssadavalos4903not gonna argue that. Like I said it's still on my to-watch list. But nearly on the very last place, probably.
Not ashamed to admit that I love the Resident Evil movies. They’re just stupid fun, and I’m here for it, the same way I’m here for Underworld. Maybe I can be fond of the RE movies because I’ve never played the games.
The Problem of Charlie’s Angels 2000 And the other “reboot” is that they went off course with a Gold standard formula to the point of parody. The show was never serious but it made sense and the girls were feminine and sexy and they were also smart but most importantly had character development. Charlie and Boslie were always the M and Q. important and respected masculine side characters but it’s not about them. Why is it so hard, even in the modern day to stick to a simple formula that works. This is why Campy shows of the same time actually work. Wonder Woman and Dynasty had that same formula and it worked. Even Charmed and Xena in the 90’s worked same simple formula.
