- Hey! This keyboard is awesome! I haven't done a lot of programming on it yet, so this is a init patch exploration video of the Sequential Pro 3 synth. If you're interested in buying a Pro 3, consider using our affiliate link with Zzounds bit.ly/3kur74S

I adore my Pro-3. Had it since back in March, and still absolutely love it!! - The sheer amount of texture is unreal !!
Nice! It's honestly a dream synth. Such a pleasure to program and perform.
@@TeftyMeems It really is, I made a whole load of clean simple horror style tracks using just the Pro-3, multi-tracked.... some John Carpenter sounds :)
Enjoyed it so much that I wondered if I needed anything else at all... lol.
I enjoyed your horror-style tracks. If I ever get a Pro 3, I may have to try doing some of those too, while I'm learning. It seems awesome for that sort of expressive eerie soundtrack-type thing.
ToyKeeper excellent and thanks! Let me know when you get yours :)
Or maybe it's not the instrument, it's just you. Gotta give credit where credit is due. :)
Love the background music for starters!!!
Great video! Super useful shortcut: Hold 'Transpose Down' then press 'Latch' = Basic Program (no menu diving required)
Yup, that shortcut is clutch. Thanks for the tip!
I really appreciated seeing and hearing your approach to the workflow. One of the most informative synth vids I’ve seen yet. I’m using the Rev2 and a lot of what you do is applicable. Thank you!
Loved this! Please do more pro3 videos 🙂
I think this stands out as one of the best sounding and most interesting analog synths of the modern analogs. Not a poly but still sounds very good with its capable sequencer with 16 tracks of sequencer automation.
Agreed! One of my fav synths.
This is the most useful Pro3 vid I’ve seen👍
High quality content man! New sub! :)
Thank you! Welcome to our channel 🤗
Love seeing your workflow. I'm thinking about getting a Pro 3 as my first hardware synth. Most analog synths don't really do it for my kind of music but I'm really digging the textures coming out of this thing.
Thanks Martin! It's a killer synth and very well laid out. First synth is dangerous for your bank account lol
OSC3 can be used as an additional LFO using the wavetables when the "Low Freq" button is pressed
I haven't heard anybody demo this yet!
Wavetable LFO is probably not always useful, to much like noise, but I want to hear it!
(Also, what's the bit-rate on the wavetables?)
I love that synth. I have too many monosynths but I am looking for Dave to release a new poly this month. At least there was a rumor that he had some new product.
Ooooo new poly from Dave? Exciting! And dangerous lol
That's pretty much my ideal setup... a Pro 3, a drum machine, and a DAW. Maybe also a Hydrasynth for some sounds the Pro 3 doesn't do, or a romplish sort of thing for acoustic sounds.
Yup, that's a killer setup! Lots of flexibility in sound design and inspiration.
What delay has a bandpass outside of a DAW? I'm aware of the Suhr Discovery that has a high and low pass filter.
Try hitting the down octave and latch together as a shortcut to start a new patch.
Juice!
All your stuff is amazing!
Today i recieved my first Keyboard (Novation LaunchKey 49 mk3) and for the first time i'm installed Ableton Live.
To be honest, i'm totally scared :D
Please give me some advice, links or other to start learning this amazing world :D
Thanks in advance!
Congrats Andrea! There's tons of Abelton Live tutorials (and probably Launchkey tutorials as well). I'd watch and learn as much as possible, but don't overwhelm yourself. You don't need to be an Ableton master to start out, just need some basics and start being creative. Each day, try to learn a new tip/trick. Before you know it, you'll be a Live Jedi. Cheers!
@@TeftyMeems thank you so much!
Hi Tefty, I know you have a fantastic arsenal of wonderful synths & I was wondering do you remember the Access Virus? The reason I ask is cos recently Waldorf in Germany brought out am awesome sounding desk top synth called Tyra which some guys on CZcams are saying how similar it sounds!there's also the Waldorf Iridium & Quantum awesome sounding synthesisers, might be worth you checking them out my friend 🤠🇬🇧
Never had any those synths, YET 🤣 One of these days 🙏
New sub 👌🏿✌🏿
Thank you! Welcome 🙏🍻🙏
Funny how all the sequential gear videos is from a few guys and those guys get free gear from Sequential
Hey, so I've been calling it a DSI synth when in reality it's a Sequential synth. Turns out Yamaha had the rights to the Sequential name and then gave it back to Dave Smith in 2015, which he then renamed the company Sequential, in 2018. I legit never paid attention to it cause it was still Dave Smith making the synths and DSI had been around since 2002. So yeah, big obvious dumb mistake in the vid by calling it a DSI Pro 3 ❤️❤️
loved watching this.. thank you! (your voice is too loud in relation to the music)
dude, brand has been "Sequential" for over 2 years ...
Yeah you're right, and it was actually in 2015 when they switched from DSI to Sequential because Yamaha released the Sequential name. Thing is, it's a Dave Smith instrument and DSI had been around since early 2000s, so it's hard for me to break the habit of calling it a DSI synth. (and yes, I had to google the wiki for specifics) Cheers!
@@TeftyMeems At the time of the Prophet-6 release they still had products with both names. In 2018 they officially switched the company name to Sequential.
My bad, I just reread that section. It was Aug 31st 2018. So ALMOST 2 years ago when they rebranded.
