Every girl had a crush on Sebastian in the 80s. I had the pleasure to meet him once at an instore record signing. He was very cool and personable and very good looking in real life. This was about the time he did Jecyll and Hyde on Broadway.

I was 17 when this came out. I remember watching it on MTV and being blown away by both Bach’s vocals and appearance. His poster immediately went up on the wall right next to Jon Bon Jovi 😍

I personally like their harder stuff better, "Slave to the Grind" (of course!) and "Monkey Business," but to show off Sebastian's voice at it's very best, you've got to introduce her to "Wasted Time." It's not my favorite song of theirs (great song, just not my favorite), but the vocals on that track are the best I've ever heard. The raw emotion coming through is soul crushing.
"18 & Life" was their best song and "I Remember You" was a close 2nd. I know the songs you're referring to aren't as popular. I like their radio songs as my 2 favourites.

I saw Skid Row back around 1995 at the Fillmore in SF. And Joe Satriani was the opener. It was incredible. Bach was awesome, what range. But my best memory from that concert will always be Joe Satriani playing Cryin'.

I said that I heard Queensryche Silelent Lucidity, back when it first came out. And I was never a fan of Pink Floyd - Only ever heard Money, and Another Brick in the Wall at that time.
But Having heard a lot more Pink Floyd since, and seeing lots of reviewers do Silent Lucidity, all I think now is that If I just heard of that song now, I would have assumed that it was a Pink Floyd song.

OK I guess it’s a matter of opinion. Sebastian Bach was a good singer. He was definitely a big part of the 80s but the best singer of that era that’s a stretch we have queens right iron maiden even the singer from slaughter was incredible.

I'm actually sure Michael Kiske from Helloween, was a better singer than Sebastian. I saw both bands live, in their prime, believe it was -88 and 89, both as opening acts. Helloween for Maiden and Skid Row for Mötley. Kiske could and can still do everything live, and Bach had problems live already back then.

Better singers, yes. But Bach just had that "it" factor that I'm not sure that either of those two other guys had. I mean, Mick Jagger doesn't have the BEST voice... but his style fit the music. Same with Daltrey and The Who. Even the dude from Cinderella didn't have the "best" voice. But they all had somethin they brought to the table.
