Great video man! I think what you said about shot sequence is very true. Focusing on the tasks you need to get them done really keeps you present and distracts you from the stress.
I did that when i harvested my first doe last year, and I did just fine and made a good shot. A few weeks later, I got the shakes pretty bad when a buck came in. Thinking back, I realized I was too focused on the buck, and I wasn’t focusing on the steps of the job I needed to do.

A timeless video. A lesson for life. Applies to about everything. Even the most accomplished archers say they still get all levels of anxiety when a single $25000 arrow is on the line. Learning how to override it is the secret. Competition at the local 3-d club then another and another. Shoot in the indoor league too. Go back to using your basic form etc to execute the shot. Pretend you are in your backyard practicing. Zone in on what you are and need to be doing and eliminate everything else from your conscious-any people any noise- everything.

Very helpful video! Reinforcing slowing the process down is something that I will definitely work on.

Your videos are awesome! I’m watching your videos from eastern Long Island in NY where I mainly whitetail hun and love your vids. I’m constantly trying to perfect my archery and you videos really help with that. I see a lot of Dudley influence in your videos but like your spin on it. Thanks!

Thanks. I've no access to any "coaching" in Hawaii so the CZcams information is all the information I learn from and Dudley being the most prevalent so far. I also really like George Ryals' information as well. The latter, perhaps even more to be honest. Ryals can break down even higher level stuff that I've found very relatable for my situation.

Frik yeah I’ve spent years in the field hunting axis deer with a bow. Not easy on Lani public land but totally worth getting out there. Still have a hard time but now the experience has made a huge difference. I’ve blown many shots and it’s drove me crazy. But some hunts did pay off

I'll probably qualify for social security before I ever put my hands on an ibex, but a poor southern boy can dream, can't he?
