    I wish there had been recipes! 😁 that would have been a fun extra for students to celebrate completing a section. Actually quite a fun idea!

    Thank you for this video. Is there a way to prevent a student from watching the solutions video until after they have tried to work through the assignments first themselves?

    Hey I am going to order this for my 7th grader (pre-algebra). What homeschool math program do you recommend for 4/5th grader?

      Unfortunately, we don't really have any advice for elementary math curriculum except to say that if you can find something that works for your student in that he or she can make progress at their own pace without becoming frustrated or taking on the "I'm bad at math" mindset, then you have a winner. Our Pre-Algebra course spends the first few chapters shoring up arithmetic skills by reviewing them in a way that they will see it going forward in high school math, so it isn't essential that your student be a whiz at every arithmetic skill. In fact, it's quite common for students to have a weak spot (or spots) coming into Pre-Algebra or Algebra 1 (be it fractions or decimals or negative numbers) that does not need to hold them back from starting upper-level math, nor does it need to cripple them going forward because they will get lots practice with it in our courses!

    How much different is the success algebra to this one? Trying to decide for my daughter. She probably has add and isn’t the greatest at math.

      Hi Jenifer! The Success courses are very similar to this, especially in regards to course materials and lesson/homework format. The main difference is that they are slimmed down a bit. Lesson videos and homework assignments, for instance, are 10-15 minutes shorter in Success courses than in Standard courses to better fit the attention span of students with learning challenges. They also introduce concepts at a slower pace, typically only one per lesson. We recommend checking out the Standard vs Success page on our website to see a side-by-side description of the two routes: www.denisonalgebra.com/standard-vs-success. You're also more than welcome to email us at support@denisonalgebra.com if you'd like to chat in more detail about which might work best for your daughter!

    Is this curriculum free of politics and cultural references?

    • @mujtabaalam5907
      @mujtabaalam5907 Před 11 měsíci +7

      Yes, it's just math. No paragraphs about how algebra makes you feel, but at the same time it does include stuff to develop a self-confidence when it comes to math.
