The rat is referring to a crack in the wall nearby that you can shrink yourself and end up inside the zhenterrim stock room
Is it a zhenterrim stockroom that’s different from the one at Wakeens rest and the one in the under dark?
@@Tazazak You can also get in the Zhenth stock room through the priestess room and jump in the back.
@@Tazazak There's a door guarded by two NPC just behind the Zhent trader - the stockroom is behind that door. Pretty sure trying to enter that way while the Zhent are still around will be counted as a crime. You can either enter the room through a crack from the outside-area or through a regular hole in the wall (no need to shrink) from inside the temple at "roof-top-beam"-level. Pretty easy to access if you break through the cracked wall (above the Ogre-guard) and then explore the temple from the "upstairs" level you'll be at on the other side of that cracked wall. Just make your way towards the Priestess' quarters/Zhent trader location area and you'll find an easy way to jump down and into the stockroom. It's full of smokepowder-barrels so you'll know it when you find it. You might have to stack some boxes to be able to jump back out the way you came in, but there are enough boxes in the room to do that. Or fast travel back out to the Goblin-Camp waypoint. Just don't try to exit through the door if the Zhent are still there.
@@Tazazak yes. Totally different. There is a stockroom in the goblin camp itself and the crack in the wall is a back way in rather than fighting your way to through a guarded front door

Instead of wasting your spell slot on Thunderwave, you can just hit the walls with bludgeoning weapons. A maul for example.
Or Eldritch Blast is ideal!
they're Tav is a druid with shileliegh, they could easily have used that as well lol
I tend to take a caster's staff and use that, usually 2-4 hits get the job done :D
You can also use a silence spell to avoid waking up the guards when breaking the wall.
or grab the cantrip eldritch blast with spell sniper
If you take out all the alarm drums in the camp you prevent anyone from triggering an alarm.
I wish you could offer to trade some books to the brainy goblin, would've been a nice option.
7:20 - Use Eldritch Blast to blow open walls. It does double damage (2d10 instead of 1d10 per bolt) and doesn't eat spell slots.
Inspiration is dependent on what background you choose when making your character not everyone gets the inspiration points the same
It can also depend on who is with you at the time. Such as if you did something that would give inspiration for an Acylote background, and you had Shadowheart as part of your companions. Even if your player doesn't have that specific background you'll still get a point. Although saving Smythin looks like it says Folk Hero which of all the origin characters, I believe it's Wyll who has that background.
I'm pretty sure the rat's safe place is the crack in the floor of priestess Gut's bed room. When you go through her door, walk down the hall a little, and turn right into the space that looks like a chain is hanging from the ceiling. The floor there can be blasted open and there is lootable stuff down there.
I broke out the caged goblin after killing the 3 leaders and most of the rest. Had this interaction, then he sprinted off. Only I forgot I had befriended and released the spiders... Dude turns one corner and gets jumped by them 🤦♀️

So not just me good to know. On another play through they kept killing him before he could thank me so had to lure them away playing music repeatedly.
That place you went to in the basement after the rat was the pit that’s adjacent to the room with the big female ogre
exactly. it is under the jail into Priestess gut's rooms, you can break the floor of it and end up in the spider pit from there (very hard to get out from that way). You also gave me the idea of trying to dig where the rats are, i go try now:D
In one playthough, I let myself get captured by priestess Gut, and she locked me in that jail cell, I broke out of the chains then used a improvised weapon attack to attack the floor using the priestess as a weapon, she fell through the floor and almost died instantly. Best kill I ever got.

I just casted fog and turn based mode and pushed both goblins over to the spider pit.
With the Praise Maglubiyet guy, you just wait until after the goblin camp is slaughtered and then use a non-branded party member to disarm the cage and release him.
Funny thing on how I first discovered the Goblin camp was through Wakeens rest going south. I was wondering where the Goblin camp Sazza was talking about. But, it is an alternate route to the camp, albeit through some fall damage at that.
I rushed trough goblin camp because I was afraid I won’t get myself an owlbear cub. I completely missed that there’s a reading goblin, what a fun character.
If you kill him, you can still get the book from his corpse. 😉
there's also a poetry-loving goblin, who makes love letters to Minthara. Or at leats tries to...

@@chillax319 in a goblin camp, near roasting dwarf. He asks you about his new pants and dwarf's poetry. His little hideout with unsent letter to Minthara can be found behind a waterfall next to the main bridge to the goblin camp

I actually tried killing all the goblins after stopping that "Sparta" event kill. After I killed everyone, he was just gone.
Similar for me, although he just sort of vanished midfight... wasn't killed or anything, just disappeared even though everything was in turn-based mode due to combat.

The room that you think you missed something is the same room you go after killing the priestess gut to the underdark. So basically if you wanna skip goblin camp without killing any of them. Just gotta persuade the giant or kill it.
You can also go down the well in the Blighted Village, find the area where you fight the spider matriarch, cast Featherfall, and jump down into the giant pit.
If you can get her to fall down there as well, you can have Glut reanimate her and turn her into a massive teleporting pet for a while.
You don't need to convince the ogre or anything, the floor is smashable, doesn't even have sturdy like most dungeon wall/doors that can be smashed.
can also blast the cage hanging from the ceiling in Gut's prison cell. It will smash the floor open.
@@leyrua or you can go through zhentarim hideout. It also allows you to easily kill both minotaurs
7:20 No need to waste spell-slots on that (or any other) cracked wall. I always have at least one back-up bludgeoning weapon on my strongest guy or gal for this sort of thing. One or two hits by Karlach or Lae'zel, even with something primitive like a greatclub, and that wall will crumble. Also: You can explore a lot of the temple from up there on those beams that you'll be on when you enter through the crack. There's another chest or two on the far "upstairs" side of the main area and you can go much deeper into the whole complex. While doing that, you'll come across quite a bit of easy loot and nobody will mind you sneaking around up there. It also provides you with a pretty easy way to enter the storeroom behind that Moonglow-trader unseen - which also contains some solid loot and a ton of smokepowder barrels. Probably don't want to push too far into the complex though if you want to save that NPC from getting pushed into the spider-pit - I'm pretty sure his scene triggers if you're approaching the area while you're up on the roof-level. But being up there might make it harder to save the guy.

Had a new rare outcome for me. Did raid the grove with Minthara and killing some goblins in the temple afterwards. After looting a Box near the goblin in the Cage, i aggro'd the Goblins in the druid grove. 😄 Gave me quite a shock at first as i wasnt prepared for a big fight.
With the rat, I don't think that is the place. But could be. Above it is Priestest Gut's prison room. To which you can break the hanging cage and it will fall through the floor. Just another way to get out of there when she drugs you
I let the goblin in the cage go, only to forget I had let the spiders out to help me kill goblins and they killed him immediately lmao 🤦🏻♀️
I've been obsessed with figuring out what the rat is talking about. Haven't found anything satisfying yet up the ceiling where you were, can be broken it is the floor of the cell priestess gut put you in if you let her put you to sleep.

Number 3 probably refers to the zhentarim stash, the room you were in you can get to when you get captured by Priestess Gut, you can break the floor in the cell and this is where you land 😁
3:58 that is the floor right bellow the priestess guts room.
The hidden spot you found the floor up top breaks and you can fall down there. The way to break brick walls is with blunt damage, I always carry around a big hammer/mace just in case
I thought about trying to save Smythin. Next time I will.
Saving Smythin is something I only recently managed to do and its still a huge pain. Also instead of wasting a spell slot on thunderwave you can just use a blunt weapon or eldritch blast
That crack in the wall at the final part of this video, hover the pointer over it, press T. Weak to force damage, just use the warlock blast cantrip, no need to waste spellslots.

I dont think anyone misses that goblin... Hes not hard to find. Just out in the open. Same with the cracked wall entrance.
Eldridge blast works well on that cracked wall too

I freed Brakkal but I also freed spiders so immedietally after I got him out he got killed by them.
I totally forgot about the wall I even put a marker on the map 😅
I must ask you, how do you control a character with keyboard? Is this some sort of mod to allow that?
I set loose the spiders first then Brakkal after all the other goblins were dead. Oopsie... it did not end well for him.
You can poison their drink on the yard
The tunnel in the spider pit is actually the exit from the prison cell when priestess gut locks you uo. You can smash the floor under you and get out via the spiders pit.
You can also use it to trap the ogre if you smash the floor whike its standing on it
So heres a few more things you missed. Spoilers obviously
Theres a goblin near the fire that has a poem about the secret entrance to the underdark.
The dark urge will comment on the dwarf meat cooking on the spit
Theres a chest in a cave if you follow the path under the entrance bridge, the note is a love note to minthara from one of the goblins.
Theres a huge amount of unique interaction as a drow
You can make the goblin at the entrance eat crap if you are a barbairan with a little charisma
Theres another entrance inside if you go out the gap near the portal outside and follow the wall past the traps to the chest, there is a mouse entrance that comes out inside near the torture room.
You can pickpocket all the sleeping goblins outside with impunity. They are all passed out drunk.
If you walk past the puzzle to the underdark there is a lock you can unlock if you pass a perception check that skips the whole puzzle.
Crusher has a really cool +3m movement ring if you bump him off after you make him kiss your foot
If you talk to the goblins with crusher after he kisses your foot two are quite.. excited by it and one is disgusted
You can poison the wine barrel with the poison you get from nettie in the druid grove if you plan on fighting outside and even talk your way out of them pointing the finger at you. But this will close the shop.
If you take your armor off while giving penance to lovitar you get +4 to all your rolls
You can steal a bunch of smoke powder barrels by jumping over the gap in the roof next to the room the zehnterim are guarding, you can also geting in/out via a small hole in priestess guts chambers.
You can talk to the spiders and aet them on the goblins but this can make the goblins hostile (might have just bugged on my honor run) amd they will generally just get murdered.
You can knock Minthara out as long as she is only temporarily hostile she will show back up in act 2 and can be recruited.
Don't talk to halsin or zevlor first as this seems to bug it out and she will just count as dead
Well that should keep you busy for a while and yes I have played this game waaay too much!

I freed the goblin in the cage and he attacked me.
I can’t save Smythn. I have taken out the Goblins well before they can push him and he will just disappear.
Couldn’t you just turn on invisible after freeing him

The rat's secret is just a hole in the wall which is right there, near him. I don't even remember where it leads, because it's really trivial and doesn't do much.
And I've done all these things, except the first, I knew you could save him but I've never really bothered to try.
The place with the rat has a destructible floor. I wonder if you need to destroy the floor to find something. I'm not going to re-install to find out.
How’d you get the green shirt mercenaries to arrive in the goblin camp?
They show up there if you tell them to go about their business after the interaction with the dying dwarf. Same thing if they survive the fight with the Owlbear and you tell them the same.
Hold up how’d you get that interaction? And is ole bow lady recruitable? Swear she’s got a tadpole In her. She was on that ship with us in the beginning I think that’s the one you can turn into a mindflayer by activating the console
@@thibanh6920 this aren’t mercenaries in the goblin camp. It’s the two humans that were with the dead dwarf near the Owlbear cave. They have similar looking armor but they’re absolutists.
