Support this series on my Patreon: www.patreon.com/thoraya ♥ I want to take the "Dance Here" circle to as many cities as I can and your support will help make that happen!
I want to set up the same thing for the city I live in. I don't have any mobile tunes, but I have a cirle, sign & a camera.
How exactly did you go about setting everything up & filming it, especially sound & camera-wise as I couldn't afford to get them stolen or taken from me.
(I'm assuming you were near by but it seemed people were oblivious as to who left the dance circle there.)
* I'm sorry about all my simplistic questions but I really want to cheer up my City & be able to post the video of it on YT called "A Day of Fun in .......... .....!"
this is great, I love it!!!
This is absolutely DELIGHTFUL!!! What I don't understand tho, is if the people dancing are hearing any music, or if they're just doing a little dancing to whatever they hear in their mind?
Hi There! If we wanted a dance circle to come to our city what does one have to do? ❤ In Grand Rapids, MI
Do that and then do the circle and music with a sign NO DANCING! which may produce some very interesting rebel dances.
"So you just go around California making random people dance?"
hmmmm....
I love all the introspective musings and insights that we are privy to but sometimes I come away feeling "down". This one, though, had me "up" the whole way to the end and beyond...but dance is my language, so I guess that's natural for me. I vote Aye for more of this!!! Although a non-verbal medium, it's still very revealing and engaging.
Thoraya, this is so beautiful I am crying some gnarly ass happy tears right now. My child self so needed to see this 🥹
Bazmitaz I agree with you 100% ! 🌞
I like the idea of going around California making random people dance.
I love this. It reminds me of how much my inner child wants to dance down the street every day - no embarrassment to it. There's a set of stairs along my path into the city centre that leads down to the station. I always boogie on down them even though commuters can see me. It's so joyful and freeing. If I raise a smile as someone heads off to work - job done. I love this so much would you mind if we borrowed your idea and did this over the Pond?
5:30 is such a beautiful moment. I love how they motioned for the girl to join them, and taught her a piece of their cultural. Music truly brings people together.
Awe! I skipped to it and it is so cute!
That moment made me tear up! 🥹
Aw that dance is indian
@@sanne418 😂 same here. Glad I’m not the only sap 🐸
I thought that was really sweet! Hope they became friends after!
I do this in the grocery store, gym, everywhere. Most people frown or look at me crazy but every now and then I'll get people that smile or sing along with me. My son loves it 🥰 I suffer from PTSD and anxiety from the military but music has been helpful in my healing... Please don't ever be afraid to dance like no one's watching... 💃🏽💖🎵🎶
Me too!
I love it! 🥰 What an awesome example you are setting for your son. You really are an earth Angel. Music is life 🙌💃❤️
Me too! Dance is free joy!
I do that too!!
I danced like no one was watching and now my court date is next week 😁
I just watched 10 minutes of people dancing in the streets and it was the happiest I've felt in months.
Thank you for filming this and thank you to everyone who participated in this! Even if you maybe never read this, every single one of you guys has not only brightened my mood but my entire heart ❤

@kkochismile5813 I'm sorry, man. Please don't give up on yourself! You are loved. I love you.
A dance circle should be all around the America. This is the most joyful thing I have watched in a while. I can't stop smiling! I'm editing my comment because someone thinks I should've asked for a dance circle around the world. Yes, the whole world needs a dance circle, more joy, less chaos, but I stated America because I live, eat, sleep, vote, work, love and experience the division and chaos where I was born and raised 59 years ago. AMERICA!💕🇺🇸
I agree this would de stress everyone and bring people together
@Destiny You absolutely have NO VISION!! Wake Up!
America needs a happy boost. Bring on the circles!❤❤
germany needs this circle too^^
the whole world needs this
There's something so wholesome about watching humans doing human things. Just expressing themselves and having fun, not caring if it looks silly. There's a still a lot of joy in this world, thank you for reminding me ❤
Simple truth! ⏳
thank you for voicing how i was feeling.
I think its because dancing has been reduced to tiktok challenges and sexy dances... I miss genuinely having fun spontaneous dances like this
🙏🤍
We could all even if we have to plan it opt into ways to add joy or connection to the world.
I started crying so hard at 1:49 when her mom joined her, it's just so beautiful to share these kind of moments online thanks!
My children refer to me as the hard ass Marine, yet I cried while watching this.
Lol... That's so heartwarming to hear. God bless you@@wickedways1291
3:34 I'm in love! How the person wanted to scheer the child to also dance but when it didn't go as planed, let it go and smiled. Love ittt
This actually made me cry, I’m someone who struggles with mental health and seeing that the people of the world are actually not all bad people made me so happy, this is amazing 😭😆
Are you male? Just curious. What mental problems do you have? Just curious
hey friend, it's 2 months later and I hope you're doing ok! I struggle with mental health too and I find it hard to live in a world surrounded by bad people I can't always trust but there will always be someone out there who understands and will support you ❤
there are good people out there, I get it, life sucks and it feels like the people you trust the most are the ones who stab you in the back, but keep in there, there are people who care, i care. God bless you.
90-95% of the world are good people. Don't watch TV/MSM, 🥰😘
Hope life is better for you. Take care.
my friend and i recently went to balboa and saw your chalk! it was still there after your filming! my friend and i danced in the spot and here i am a week later, discovering your tiktok about it!!!
This just made me so happy
That's awesome 💛

3:17 The joy on the little one’s face
Amazing how a simple video of random people dancing can uplift a stressful workday into a joyful one just full of good vibes
A perfect example of what humanity should be.. no hate, no racism, no sexist people, no Homophobia and no judgement just big smiles and all different people dancing and having a good time together.. beautiful.
(I've seen in lots of comments towards what I have said... I'm not saying this as a political view or even to say it will ever happen.. but it's nice to see people being kind and not seeing any souting and fighting like you do everywhere else.. its nice seeing something online that isnt toxic and isnt disrespectful to anybody)

Absolutely! Have a great day my friend x

Oh but politicians and the media will make sure that everyone is divided.
Agreed if only was life this simple..
The parents dancing with their children is so sweet. You can see the joy and love on their faces.
You have no idea how many peoples day you made by doing that the world needs more of this
Literally got me up and dancing around in my living room...and now I have a BIG grin on my face while typing this. Thank you! 💖🎵🎶
I wish there were these dance circles on every street, in every city! We should dance more, it's a great stress reliever and just makes you feel happy 😊
Get some sidewalk chalk and make some dance circles. 🥰
@@tinahochstetler2189 great idea! 😊
I could not agree more. I was literally watching this wishing my town/people in my town did things like this 😭🥺❤️
@@PeachesAndDeath what’s stopping you?
@@lilbananadoesstuff there's multiple reasons that it scares me honestly. aggressive locals and local authorities. But the main reason is a lack of public spaces and even if it's a public space it's usually not a safe public space. (Such as having a huge amount of homeless, pr*stitution and d*ug use happening in the area.) or there is a huge lack of people foot traffic in general in that area because where I live is a car friendly town not a walker or even biker friendly town. There are not enough sane, kind, non-d*ug addict people in general to do something like this and not have it be vandalized or stolen within 10 minutes of leaving it alone. Even if I was there to watch people are crazy and mean enough to vandalize or steal it in front of your face just because they can or because they want a reaction because they are bored and live in a small boring town. People where I live are nuts and scary plus police here are inefficient to a degree that would make you laugh sometimes. the only time they really get involved and do something is if someone is actively dying or having their lives threatened. Or if they want to throw their power around: the amount of times I've seen first hand when driving they pull over a nice car/specific car model because they target those cars. and I know it's like that everywhere but here it's a rampant problem that even locals use their job rank as some sort of power play over normal civilians. Military and police force workers have actively done it to my face even when off duty or discharged. I don't really know if it's the safest place for this unless I have a lot of precautions set to keep me safe already.. sorry that was long and kinda a stupid rant but that's why I haven't. Lots of things that scare me that probably don't really seem like big problems to others, anyway lol
I tend towards having a very suspicious and cynical view of people if I let that darker side get the better of me. Your videos really help me reorient myself and have more compassion. We're all just humans after all, and that can be good or bad. Thank you for what you do, Thoraya. ❤
Thank you for your comment
Well said ❤
I feel this so much 💜 thank you
I love it💖
I'd like to see this in other cities!!
I straight up came to the comments to ask for the footage of all the vandalizing and "pranks" that got pulled on the filmer. I've lost touch, man. People make me SICK
The ability to show humaness in public spaces is an amazing thing to witness, thank you Throaya! I am a forever fan of you and your work. 💜🙏
I am a fan of Jesus, He shows me amazing people who serve him everyday.
This is beautiful! Seeing all their smiles and especially the one girl who walked away still dancing. That's the spirit, love and joy we need.
This had me crying. Strangers dancing always makes me emotional. Feels like the world is one big family.
same
It is. I was born here and so were you.
And here I was feeling silly and overly emotional for crying! Thank you! ❤❤❤
Please don't cry.
it is, divisions and borders are all man made, for reasons no other than greed. We are led to believe that we are different, when it truth almost every culture has developed the same habits and values with their own quirks before the internet even existed.
I don’t know why I’m sitting at work having such a crappy day but here I’m smiling and feeling so emotional. I loved watching them dancing and just being happy and free. Thanks ❤
Makes me feel the same way during a hard time in my life.

Yeah, I'm glad they didn't get mad!
Singing, dancing and listening to music really do make every moment better 😍 Once my sister had an anxiety crisis in the middle of the street and i started to dance with her, as we danced, she started to laugh and it made my day😊
Just loved this. Have watched it about 5 times and always finish with the tune bouncing in my head, and a big smile on my face. The young woman in the purple with the Doc Martens is just pure joy.
We need dance circles everywhere!!! Just watching all these strangers stopping to dance made me smile… it’s beautiful!
Then let's create one. just ask someone close to you to help you create it.
Then record it and post it. i'll do the same
this is so pure and perfectly joyous. I dont know why it is making me tear up! You are making this country a brighter place

For something to be embarrassing, you have to BE embarrassed. So just be the truest you and don't bother paying mind to the looks and harsh words, joy is contagious 💚
Man, I needed this one today... I watched the entire thing and was in tears by the end. Just something about seeing people having a good time and just letting loose and not being afraid to be themselves. It was a nice reminder to see the lighter side of humanity and to appreciate the moment, helping to bring back humanity in this inhumane world we live in. Thank you for making this video...
the pure joy every single one of them has on they're face while they're dancing is just so beautiful!
The world needs more people like you Thoraya, never stop doing you ✌️
There aren’t anywhere near enough people spreading goodness. The force of hate and fear is clearly winning the battle and the world is going straight to hell. Better luck next time.

Right?! I love her videos so much. This is what we need stuff like this where you can just have fun
Not really pure joy and happiness tbh. Most likely it goes like this: they see the circle, accurately suspect they might be on camera and decide to show off their coolness out of fear of looking like a buzz kill/party pooper. (If there’s a zoomer term for party pooper, I’d like to know it) Point being they aren’t doing it out of pure joy, they’re doing it to look cool for others. The ones that pass right by without a second thought simply don’t gaf
@Honk Honk sounds like you have a very positive perception on people and how they behave....
@@honkhonk5181 don't think that you feel that way at all.I think that you are trying to get a rise out of the people that are reading your post. You sound like you have an insight on the way the human psych works,so you must know that the body releases a hormone called serotonin (known as the feel good hormone) that makes you feel happier. With all the unpleasant things we experience in our daily lives a little dance break does a body good.Yes, I do think that for many it was 'pure' joy.All you have to do is look at some the facial expressions, the curling of the lips, closing of the eyes, not to mention the smiles on their lips.Umph, pure joy.
Cool!!!
And...there come the tears :') I don't know why but I find these types of videos to be so moving. There's just something so beautiful and touching about seeing people united by a random, lighthearted gesture like this.
it made me cry too! just pure happiness and joy.
Dancing is a liberating feeling . I cry watching too :,)
I thought I was the only nutcase that starts crying when I see these kinds of things. 🥲
Same. It makes me cry... Every. Time. Tears of joy. ❤
I know right!! after all the pain the world throws at us, it's touching to see humans just having fun, loving life and just being a child again, even if only for a moment. :')
I love how your videos always reference "strangers" but afterwards I feel like I met a bunch of people I can relate to.
Thoraya is genius at bringing out the very best of people. I laugh, I cry - I do all the feels with her videos, but this one was pure unadulterated joy! Thank you for your heart and vision. I love you back!

So true! Thank you for saying it and seeing the need.
That was absolute joy to watch! Thanks to all for the happiness! My heart is so full. ❤
This is peak humanity. I wish we could live in a world where people don't even need a dance circle, they just naturally express their happiness and love. This video makes me so happy. Thank you so much for making this. It's a brilliant idea. I can't wait for this in other cities!
Beautiful! Joyful! Emotional! Uplifting! Music & dance is universal! This world needs much more of this everyday!
Idk if you realize this, but you're teaching me to appreciate and love humans. I'm quite asocial and pessimistic, but your videos highlight a beauty in people that brings me hope. It isn't a glamorous thing, it's how ordinary and normal everyone in your videos are that is just so endearing.
Best advice I can give you is to go to raves and night clubs (go to the smaller, less mainstream places as there will be less douche bags and more people there specifically for the music). Spend all your time on the dance floor and it can be one of the most joyous and empathetic moments you'll ever experience. I'm bipolar 2, and my fondness of people and willingness to be around strangers can vary greatly depending on where my mood is and in what cycle; but whether I'm in mania or in bipolar depression, the dance floor is one of my favorite places to be.
@koopatroopa187 that is literally some of the most dangerous unsolicited advice i have ever heard

I did too. I think i desperately try to always preach we are all human. Moments like this show this exactly. There is so much division recently in our societies and its hard for me to process sometimes cause all i really want is for people to understand we are human, we want to feel joy and feel safe in the end. And this video makes me feel validated prob why i started crying. I feel like a crazy lady in this world because im so moderate, this video validates my feelings of the world even for just a moment!
