Breeding Bean Beetles (Fruit Fly Substitute)

We started breeding Bean Beetles and they are a nice substitute from the everyday fruit fly feeding. I hope you guys enjoy this video and if there are any other unusual feeders please let me know so I can try them out for you all!

Yeah I’m surprised why these are not sold in stores when fruit flies are everywhere. I don’t like to buy fruit flies because they poop all over the glass and it’s a pain to clean after.

Bean beetles are a great compliment to fruit flies but don’t carry all of the necessary nutrients so make sure to dust and change food.
