1978 was a great year for great music. And this song stays true in my heart. Great harmonies just like Ambrosia, Little River Band, Leblanc and Carr, England Dan & John Ford Coley etc, etc.
Wow!! Loved this Band, we always went to see them if they were in town!!! I never told anyone this but one night they were in Langley at the Country Palace and as I was coming out of the washroom Dan (bass) grabbed my hand wrapped his arms around me and laid a kiss on me!!! Took my breath away and was he ever tall with long beautiful dark hair!!! Awe...memories of being young!!!!
12 years ago I was listening to this while at work, then a call from home, my father was dying. Sadly, we didn't even get to mend old wounds. Just regrets after he was gone.
So many great bands from Canada that never got the recognition that they desired, part of my life always will remember certain songs that make up the soundtrack of our lives
Saw these guys at The Cave in Kelowna BC around 1981. Years later I ended up serving Ray Roper at the original Nanaimo Keg when he would come in for dinner while he was playing gigs at some of the hotel lounges. He was gracious to talk about the glory days as touring as Stonebolt. Nice guy he was.
One of the very few ballads with even more profound, visceral capture than "Time" by Alan Parsons Project. This song's "eternality" overrides the "discontinuity" proposed by that Alan Parsons Project song, if that makes sense.
Really a great music/song for me... a genius lyrics and tunes... I love this band/ I love Ray Roper... my ultimate dream is to them watch them singing this song in live...
Ray you are a genius, Thank you for Believing in me I knew you were the Right guy for My single, cant wait for all to hear, Cheers my Friend. You and this song is so amazing thank you Ray keep up the great influence
Which bandmate would that be?The band played at my highschool a few times over a couple of years around 78-79..Would also see them play at the Old Avalon hotel in North Vancouver,Queen of the Night has been on my mind for 30 years and just rediscovered it last night..All the great music to come out of the west coast in the 70's..Was a great time..TY for posting a song with many memories attached to it..
ONE OF THE MOST BEAUTIFUL BALLADS EVER RECORDED. PERIOD.
And to think that it was a song for a hoe from a lovestruck friendzoned dude hahaha I love this sad, optimistic and dark song.
Not "so amazing"-- but rather UTTERLY PHENOMENAL Ballad.

The first record (45) I ever bought.....back in the summer of '78. :-)
Canadian band peeked at #29 in 1978 in the USA.

Thats true, however things are changing now..bands like Nickelback are getting that worldwide recognition.
To think I once dated Brian . . .
Just let them love me what you knew you won't be able to.
