Waking up on Sunday to a new video from Alex? Oh hell yeah!
👍👍 on the video.
Enjoy the hell out of the Cadillac. You've put in the time to build and grow your channel. You've earned it.
I am looking forward to your future content.
Nailed the intro! Congrats on 1 year of ownership on the CADDY
I’m also a ford guy looking at getting one of these. Great review. I’ve only been second guessing getting one because of lifter and transmission issues I’ve heard about
Intro is full of serotonin 🎉
Cadillac escalade beautiful SUV❤
Heck yes new video on a Sunday morning
Great video! Always great content! 🇺🇸
That intro is 🔥🔥🔥
see a new video from Alex, I hit like. It ain't much but its honest work.
Good to hear that you've had pretty good luck with the Escalade! The one's the few folks i know with them have been plagued with electrical issues.
That new intro looks sick! 💪
Great review Alex! one thing about the rear motion sensor is to try the kick method... basically same motion of kicking a soccer ball.. We had the same issue with my dad's Highlander, this method worked everytime.
Bad ass intro Alex!
We have a ton of 8L90 vans in our fleet at work. The 2020+ ones were the problems for us. We get 65k miles on average per trans. Huge money pits on a fleet that's now over 100k/out of warranty.
👏👏 great. If it's not peasant chat, it's a video 👌👌. Cadi looking slick after the ceramic treatment
🤞🏽🤞🏽 those mats looking good my brotha
Intro is legit.
Love it, just about everything you love about this is what i love about my navigator and luckily have none of the drawbacks. The biggest drawback? Its an 05 so i have the 3V 5.4 but its been good to me. I was looking at the previous gen escalade from yours, but in order to have the comfy 3rd row id have to get the ESV (long wheel base) and iniust dont like the look so i was left with the expedition and navigator since the GM triplets didnt have IRS until after i bought it. 3rd row was important since i have kids and carry my inlaws on road trips.
But all in all, very happy, especially with the 8600lb tow capacity which rivals and even exceeds modern full size SUV tow ratings, not bad for a 19yo truck lol.
Here’s to another good year with her 🤜🏼 🤛🏼. Appreciate the review Alex. Scooped up an 18’ (ESV for the two niños growing like weeds) a few weeks ago for the long hauls. Same here with initial disappointment from the lack of competing manufacturers for similar chassis, but not once I looked into the GMC/Chevy/Cadillac trifecta I was smitten and satisfied with the purchase. I did do a treatment to help with carbon buildup from the DI, assuming it made some difference 🤷🏻♂️ . In viral and dismissive fashion I scanned Magnuson, BTR cam etc., and even wasting Alec’s time in Delaware for a tune before returning to sensibilities as for her unmolested and intended purpose 😅
I wish you continued luck with the transmission! The 8L90 in our 2015 Sierra Denali was unbearable by 77,000 miles and the dealership, in typical GM fashion, told us to by a 10 speed truck 😂
Absolutely hate the 8 speed in my 2017 Escalade!
We hated the 8-speed in our last escalade. We would put it into manual mode on the highway to keep it in 7th and out of DOD.
The 10-speed escalade is light years above.
They have an updated fluid which helps, but if it’s too far gone doesn’t make a difference. Sucks you had bad luck. My 8l90 with updated fluid and a tune has been beaten and hasn’t missed a beat.
Was waiting on this. I just recently got a 2015 yukon denali with 120k miles. Hopefully the trans stays good in it, the truck is awesome besides that worry
I love the intro bro 👌 but that Jello belly flopping all over the place is indicative high Estradiol and low t 😂😂😂
I absolutely love mine! 2017 Platinum. The paint on the hood/roof needs attention. The occasional aggressive lurch when coming to a stop on the 2-1. 99k miles, bought a little over a year ago with 69k on it. I added wireless car play to bring things a little more up to date. I did disabled DoD in the tune. Apparently removing TCC Slips and TCC only on in 7th and 8th fixes all the issues. Just haven't unlocked the TCM yet. This thing is ages better than my Explorer Sport.
I think this is my favorite vehicle on this channel. Feels like you just bought it a month ago
A clean Escalade that can tow and look nice while doing so is the goal👌🏿
Alex: The Massage Chair Critic
Hey Alex, make sure to work sunroof once or twice a month. It can actually cause issues not using it. Just open and close. I trashed one on a gen3 v not using it. Great video!
I hope you get a gen3 cts v one day. Lots of similarities to 2017 escalade. Would be awesome content!
Sunday morning perfect
Weather looks fantastic. Making me jealous.
You'd be surprised what it looks like in NC today! 82 and not a cloud in the sky
@@agentorange_3025 not surprised and just as jealous, dang that sounds nice.
Beautiful car
There’s a lady in my neighborhood with a 17 that finally bit the dust at 240. My best friend had a 17 esv that he sold around 220 last year. I think it will treat you right for a long time.
We got to 198,000 miles before needing to rebuild the L86 in our LX Denali. Still on the original 6l80 trans but that will need a rebuild in the next 10k miles. Hopefully, you have similar luck. I would recommend a DOD delete. The lifters tend to stick on these once they get up in miles.
Alex, wat kinda of video is this? "How hard u want it, In and out, In order to feel it you have to sit on it"... 🤷🤦 you're killing me 😂
The massaging is nice. Mine is on a Lincoln. So I assume it’s closer to the f350 and I love it.
Still can't get over the new intro!
Fast responsive infotainment system is worth so much , just makes the vehicle so much better overall. Def faster than Ford's Sync 3 and 4 cr@p..................
This makes me want a CTS-V. Shame they never put a Coyote in a Lincoln! I’m still in the “drive my projects” phase of my life, but something reliable and comfortable that I won’t be tempted to throw parts at sounds so good.
If I’m not mistaken, the sensor in the back works best if you do a sweeping motion with your foot, not just go up and then down
I fixed the shudder issue with just a tube of shudder stop from autozone. Put 50k miles on since then and been fine. Worth a shot if you don’t want to tune TCM. On the 17s you have to send in the TCM to hp tuners for an unlock or buy an unlocked one outright.
Thanks for the heads up
Holy s*** 1 year already.
The sensor, on the tailgate, is designed for you to use a swiping motion, with your foot, under the bumper.
U should do a review on a Blackwing
Manufactures need to bring back the Gooch cooler, the vent below the steering wheel that you can just blast your croch on a hot day.
14:40 i saw that coming lol
My grand Cherokee has the park sense with “active breaking”. Scared the shit out of me backing up my camper the first time. Loud fucking chimes going on, warning in the dash. I damn near got whip lash😂 only made that mistake once.
Buenos dias
I love tan/saddle interior, fuck keepin that shit clean though.
Thumbs up
10spd Escalade are dropping in price. If they drop a bit more I’ll be looking into one of them.
I love my 8 speed, mind you it is tuned. GM released an updated fluid if yours has not been changed already. Id look into it considering you have the shutter, hate for it to get worse.
Also, I’d recommend having the DOD disabled. I’ve shut them off and it’s so much better. Haven’t had one have a lifter failure yet. Knock on wood.
That peanut butter interior lol. I do want an escalade now.
I had several Lincolns before I purchased my Cadillacs. Cadillac has more of a luxury feel than the Lincolns I've owned.
We went the opposite. The caddy drank oil. Both lincoln's have been perfect and are wonderful to drive
Alex showing them keyboard warriors that have nothing to drive, nor a pot to piss in and a window to throw the said piss out of, that the flex is real when you can actually flex.
This is some real men shit here that the trolls do not understand 💯
Why not a Land Cruiser or Lexus GX-460?
Good morning good morning
The ac seats literally blow hot air on the back seat passengers when the fronts are cooling.
Peanut butter guts is nice
Yeah the massage function in GM vehicles was always weak. My Mom had it in her Caddy back in the day. The function in my Audi S4, F150 Platinum and wifes Lincoln is way better.
I truly hope it last you 200k. Maybe 300k.
I do think your feel of how solid it is is a bit skewed. If I recall and I could be wrong but wasn’t the torque converter and lifters replaced before you got it? Those are major and costly issue that are common across the GM lineup.
I’ve had a Tahoe and currently have a C7 with your Escalade engine and I do love it. I think I love my Mustang the most though.
Hence why I got a extended warranty
Just don’t forget to disable DoD bro
There is a device you can get to make the Android Auto wireless so you don't have to plug in your phone. It's Bluetooth
👊 on behalf on the black community we love it 😂
No bad bunny on that playlist Alex? Jk😂
Never.
To think it's been a year already.
I like the black headliner. That’s underrated. I wouldn’t expect it with the peanut butter interior.
I’m not 100% sure it exists but you might look into a wireless android auto adapter. They are like $100-200 for iPhones. It’s super convenient to hop in push to start and go.
Link?
The other benefit is most vehicles have a 5 watt charger built into the CarPlay port so your phone doesn’t end up charging. You can plug your phone in when it needs charged
@@Jonny_trans this one charges very fast
What did you have for breakfast?
Escalade the greatest vehicle. A true luxury
When are you going to Draggy it?🤣🤣🤣
First
This is a review for OEMs to reflect on their bullshit decisions
Need a new steering wheel get one off a low mile wreck I’d buy a black one with a black wheel and black airbag. We know you like it thick and black
