    One thing that I think needs to be pointed out is that this season both of our rightbacks play really, really well. And I don't think it's a coincidence. It's in large part thanks to Valverde. The way he helps on the right, both offensively and covering in defence is amazing. When Lucas or Dani go forward, they know they don't have to worry about what's happening at the back. Fede is so important for us, he's a real gem!
    I'm looking forward to watching Kubo play for Sociedad in this match. I hope he starts for them.

    What I love about real Madrid and Barcelona is the aspect of being owned by fans ... especially Barcelona who have elections

    • @TheGlobalMadridista
      @TheGlobalMadridista  Před měsícem

      We both have elections. In fact I just received 4 invitations for the upcoming "shareholders meeting" (technically Members meeting) representing the four members in my family. We vote for the President and specific referendums when required. And we are allowed to ask questions to the Board of Directors, as one does in regular shareholder meetings. It's incredibly professional.

    Simetimes, Real Madrid players can't help themselves. Why? Because many of them are madridistas and not there just for the money. A prime example of that was José Martínez "Pirri", who kept on playing against Barsa with a broken collar bone because it was a Copa del Generalísimo match. I am so happy many of the current players share that same spirit.

    On the la Real match - this is the perfect game for him because they like to play football, rather than stop Real Madrid playing.

    Global Madridista, I agree.
    It doesn't really matter who owns Man City and PSG.
    But be transparent and play by fair play rules, like Real Madrid almost always did( florentino did do some advantageous deals with the city of Madrid in his first tenure , but nothing like state owned clubs are doing .
    I have absolutely nothing against the Arab people or states.
    Let them organically grow their own league and compete with Europe, that would be great to see!

    • @TheGlobalMadridista
      @TheGlobalMadridista  Před měsícem +1

      Absolutely. The only thing Madrid ever did that people can criticize is that we had some of our properties "re-qualified" so they could be sold. But this is common practice in the world of Real Estate, and something Barca for example has done on multiple occasions. It was only controversial because it was Real Madrid that requested the re-qualification. If any other Real Estate firm had done it, nobody would say a word.

    On Vinicius, I actually agree on a 6.
    Even in general... Maybe a 7.
    He's a great, speedy , composed dribbler.
    But he much lacks the ability to find the smart finish in front of goal.
    He does miss 8 out of 10 chances..
    He just doesn't have a great shot.
    Can't really shoot ' placed ' , (inside of the foot )
    Can't drive it with the laces ( power ) neither.
    He gets by with cheeky finishes...
    What I've noticed from him lately is improved vision!
    Hope he gets better.

    • @TheGlobalMadridista
      @TheGlobalMadridista  Před měsícem +1

      He has those weaknesses but he is certainly improving year after year. I mean, compared to two years ago or three years ago, he has improved. I can also tell you that when he doesn't play he is really missed. He creates total havoc for the opposing defense. He is a veritable nightmare for the opposition. Despite his flaws he is incredible, one of the best in the world without a doubt in my mind.

    Great channel👍 btw people have to be careful with that David Goggins approach. Yes he has a very strong mind and humans can achieve unbelievable results with their bodies but.. if you have a 9-5 job and you support your family there is no need to push all the way like he does because you are going to sit in a hospital for a few months after you keep on running with broken bones lets say lol. Like Carvajal could’ve pushed on also against man City but the consequences are not worth it.

    Man, contrary to what some people might say, I think you maybe overstate the criticism in the stadium a bit. In other words I think the fans can be credited more than it sort of comes across here - I think criticism in the stadium is usually warranted. I must've been in 30+ different football stadiums across hundreds of matches in my life, and criticism of players from their own fans is very much the norm. What I've experienced in the Bernabeu across quite a lot of matches is quite normal. I think people just like to find any way they can to criticise Real Madrid. They take the extreme example of Bale (my own view is that it was completely warranted) and apply that across the board, criticising people - the fans who they have never met - in any way they can to vent their own issues. Whenever I read or hear opinions on the fans, the vast majority of them have no experience whatsoever from which to make those opinions. They love to use words like "entitled to win", "expect to win", and "demand nothing less than win", when in reality, at least according to what I've seen, the expectation is to compete and the demand is to fight with everything till the end. I wish more people could go and experience the hospitality that Madridistas give and see for themselves the community values in the city.
    No one outside really understands the extent to which Real Madrid is ingrained into the community - what the institution does for Madrid and Spain alike, and the values, like you say, that come from the way of life. But inevitably, for that institution to win its way to the status at the top of the sport, people will make up all sorts of opinions based on nothing, just like they do when they misinterpret what you say about FFP - sometimes it just doesn't make any difference - they'll say what they want regardless. But adelante Real Madrid.

      @@TheGlobalMadridista I shudder at what Bartomeu did to Barça.
      Without good management success can quickly turn to failure in football.
      The courage to let big names go in time and to nurture younger players was a genius move.
      Slowly, all the big names left and were adequately replaced with minimum hitch. From Casillas through Ramos, Marcelo, Alonso, Di Maria, Ronaldo, Pepe, Varane, Bale, Benzema.
      We weren't carried away like Barca in looking for the next Ronaldo or the next Bale or the next Ramos. We don't need the next Modric or the next Kroos. When their time comes to leave they'll leave and they'll be replaced by good players with their own identities and style.
