I’ll be honest. Hopefully I can be honest. I live in the Philippines. I didn’t grow up watching football. I started liking it because of video games much like basketball. I have zero hate for Barcelona but always supported Madrid since getting into it hard. Am I a glory seeker? Maybe, but what was I supposed to do? Support some non existent team here? So i just want to start with that. Zero hate for Barcelona. But man is it a shit show. My god. Shit with refs, saying Refs are Madrid supporters, sucking in Europe, financial problems, levers, Lewandowski wasting his final years in a clown house. And I have zero love for Xavi because I support Madrid but the way they hired the guy, guy wanted to quit, force the guy to stay, all the while scheming to bring their new coach, just to fire Xavi. Farsa beating Madrid in a UCL final? Sure, when the core of the Sun starts synthetizing Carbon nuclei, in about a billion years from now. Farsa isn't going to change any time soon. Even after fireing Xavi Hernández ( a.k.a. " The Gardener"), they are still under the presidence of Joan Sushiporta( a.k.a " The Appetizer Launcher" ). Atletico de Madrid and Girona will hopefully keep Real Madrid on its toes. Hala Madrid!

What surprises me is, upon all complaints on away turfs. If we check on Liga table on home games Barca is in 4th position. They were also butted out of the ucl on their turf. In a nutshell they don't impressed at their own turf either.

I'm of the opinion that Real Madrid has reached and maintained such an extraordinary competitive level during the last ten years is partly because we had to deal with that Barsa of its golden era (Ronaldinho, Messi, Iniesta, Xavi, Puyol,etc.); certainly it meant real a challenge. So, I agree: La Liga and especially Real Madrid need a competitive Barsa. On the other hand, and given the terrible economic situation the Barsa is in, I don't foresee it happening any time soon. Well, maybe soon if and only if Barsa's board of directives has already decided to sell the club to someone and they're just lowering its value by increasing debt.

Actually I wouldn’t mind seeing barca in a second/third division at all. Their fan base online is really arrogant and seeing how that club treated their players, even great ones like messi and suarez, is really mind boggling. Barca needs to reinvent themselves and not get older free transfer players. Barca won La Liga last year cause the team allow only 20 goal compared to 44 goals this season, going to need an DM to replace Sergio Busquet. With respect to Haaland, Laporte must be in ‘Narnia’ since the team still needs to register Victor Roque since La Liga gave Barca an exemption with Gavi’s injury. Roque might be sold unless they sell more players to Saudis. RM should sign Haaland next year with Kroos and Modric retiring.

As much as I hate Barcelona, La Liga and Real Madrid DO need strong Barca. That's why PSG never wins in Europe, they don't have enough domestic competition to steel them for the times where it's really tough. You need team cohesion, and not environment where everyone is afraid they might get stabbed in the back any minute now. When Militao got the ACL injury, he's already had a verbal agreement with the club for the new contract, but it wasn't signed yet. And the club signed it anyway. Because Perez knows that trying to squeeze the players for every penny and being a nasty negotiator will only backfire in the long run. In Poland we have a saying "z niewolnika nie ma pracownika" which means "A slave doesn't make a good worker". A lot of people need to learn that. If you make a player a hostage, chances are they're not going to preform very well.
