Since you made such big topic of lubing chain, let me tell you one thing. The Sealed chains are already having a factory grease inside the space sealed by O-rings or X-Rings. the idea of cleaning and lubing the sealed chains is to lube the O-rings so that they do not get dry and Hot while running under endurance conditions, and they are maintained to continue sealing the grease inside and not let it contaminate with outside environment. The rollers which touch the sprocket teeth anyway roll and reduce friction, though its good to keep a thin layer of lube there but that is the first place from where the lube is forced out by centrifugal force.
In a nutshell: Any lube must be going on the O-, X-, or Z- rings in sealed chains mostly and little bit on rollers. No further wastage.
well i appreciate your effort to write a long explanation.
now two things: 1. you are admitting that there is chance of wear due to friction since, you say " the idea of cleaning and lubing the sealed chains is to lube the O-rings so that they do not get dry and Hot while running under endurance conditions" which is my logic to spray inside.
2. again i quote you : " from where the lube is forced out by centrifugal force." if it is sprayed inside it will reach the outer surface due to centrifugal force as well heat related expansion and sqeeze by the sprocket teeth, whereas if sprayed outside it has only to follow the outward force.
now the question is, is your explanation meant for me or to some other comment author or to the general viewer community at large?
Agree with Abhishek here, Exactly my reaction and very accurately explained. It's a common misconception many do not understand why lubrication is being done in thee first place.
Does it attract dirt and forms a cake on chain like other sprays
No not at all, that's it's speciality. But you also have to do a cost benefit analysis based on your usage. If you ride less than about 1000 km per month, I believe it won't be cost effective. If you found the video helpful please consider subscribing to my channel
Bro, it doesn't matter whether you spray from inside or outside. The ball bearings would rotate when in contact with the sprocket
well brother, it does matter to me whether i am wearing my shirt inside out or the proper way.
U must have a very very special chain....NO ball bearings on any chain I know
At which point did I say there are ball bearings on the chain?
One suggestion would be to keep water away from your chains. It'll do more harm than good in the long run. Just use any chain cleaner or better yet use kerosene/diesel as they're very good degreasers. Give it some time for the cleaner to get the muc off and then wipe it down with a rough cloth. The whole point of the cleaning and lubing exercise is to keep water away from the chains as much as possible so as to prevent rusting.
But using water is better than wiping with a cloth cause it remove more muck and grease as compared to wiping with a cloth
Yes, correct. Cloth is required only for wiping it dry after a water wash, not for cleaning it. If you found the video helpful please consider subscribing to my channel
@@hello-dz8co RIP your chain buddy. 😂😂 Anyone who understand high school chemistry knows to keep water away from naked chains, especially chain links. Always use chain cleaners to kick off the muck. Once the chain dries, put the lube on and you're good to go for another 300-600 kms based on the terrains n your skills.
Thanks for your scientific knowledge buddy. You seem to know a better cleaner than water. Congratulations. Thumb rule, clean with water, wipe off with a dry cloth. Simple. Anyways, good luck with your chain
Its more need in O-ring ehy u didn't do it in O-ring
ok, i shall keep that in m ind
@@advidlogs yup
🤟🏍️ o ring most imp ,bcz when O-ring dry it breaks
@@RiderTrippleS yes very true
Bro how would you rate it after having used it for sometime now?

I noticed that my Putoline dry tech wax lube is watery. Its like I am using some kind of watery spray. Does the lube gets watery after 3months of. Non usage?
UNLIKELY. Can't say what's it exactly without inspection. However, as on date, I would not recommend putoline due to exorbitant price. You can try OKS lube from Amazon. If you found the video helpful, please consider subscribing to my channel
@@advidlogs I use this tech-chain lube... however, removing the wax remains from the chain is very difficult... what chain cleaner do you suggest to pair with this lube? I do apply motul C1 cleaner and brush it off and wipe with cloth at home...
No chain cleaner is bad because they have the same composition mostly. Try applying a little lesser of the lube than what you apply. And, with this lube, you don't need to clean the chain fo at least 700 kms unless you ride in rain or muddy patches or dust a lot. Try these and get back with your feedback at adsonchat@gmail.com. also share pictures of the condition of the chain before you clean to help me understand what you are referring to. Sp putoline, hmm i was really confused now. What to choose. Hehehe anyway make a comparison between multiple chain lubes present in Indian market
Great Review

@@advidlogs sure brother.... waiting for dry tech review 👍
Both OKS and Drytech coming up. Activities hampered due to lockdown
Brother is that chain lube splashing on rims?
No not at all. It is not at all like normal lube. Liquid. It's like wax. Thick. Doesn't splatter at all. More so if you spray on the inner surface of the chain.

@@advidlogs thanks for the replay brother
Apply it to the 'O' rings...
You use 2 round or 1 round of lube?
A good 1 round is sufficient for 6/700 kms. You don't need to be overtly generous with the application
Bro you can't just clean your chain with water, that it why it didn't work in the first place !
please listen to it carefully. i have clearly mentioned that i am not showing the cleaning of the chain with chain cleaner. i applied the water as you see in the video after i was done with applying the chain cleaner. and what didnt work? didnt get you
@@advidlogs It's better not applying water to the chain , after chain cleaner maybe a bit of drying paper
@Andrea yes i understand your point. But that water jet makes the chain look so clean and fresh. Its a bit of a psycological issue!!! 😊😊
@@advidlogs But the problem is that water will be trapped in the small crevices and the o-rings.
The less water make contact with bare steel, the better it is. Just friendly advice
@@dimmacommunication yes true that is
Where dd you buy it from?
from amazon. Sorry for the late reply
Use gear oil....better than this...
Not at all. It spills all over the place making the bike super dirty and it is extremely sticky so attracts a lot of dirt
Naa. Any wax will outperform the gear oil cause the wax resists the force during the revs and holds on to the surface. Since this wax is PTFE, it'll also repel some of dust while the oil will only attract more muc.
