Awesome!. I am not really knowledgable at useful render tricks but i just realized something, are the smokes transparent gifs that are following the camera? If so, wouldn't it be better with small intervals(appearing in various positions), because continuous smokes kind of makes it less organic imho.

Im using an mp4 file in blender, gifs are really grainy. These are actual smoke filmed and used with an alpha, best way to get the real thing is to use the real thing
