I just had Idaafa with my online teacher last week, and your explanation just kind of perfectly fills in the gaps for me - not that she didn't explain it well, she's great, but I find grammar stuff that's counter-intuitive to the L1 (mine being English) often takes a few different explanations, a ton of examples, and a load of wrong attempts. So I've the first two from you and from my other teacher, and I can get on with producing all the wrong attempts 😂

I’ve seen it using the preposition ل.
e.g. هيدي سيارة لمحمد.
