    Matt ...great job. I enjoy flying with you. Always wanted to fly ......did 11 hours ....my next trip would have been solo....and flying in on a final approach.....crosswind turned me sideways ...i panicked, and have never wanted to take that chance again.......but still have the passion to do it., I was 32 at the time ....i'm now 76......so thanks for the ride.......really great!!

      You have to check your local regulations very carefully. In BC as part of our "fair chase" laws, you are not allowed to hunt on the same day that you fly. You can fly in to remote areas for the purpose of hunting, but you must spend the night before you even begin scouting. And you are definitely not allowed to scout for or chase animals from the air. Even if you fly on a normal commercial flight, you aren't allowed to hunt the same day, the only exception being flying out after your hunt of course.

    Loved the water landings for Scott especially when he rode up on the beaches. I put my 701 up for sale and I'm considering a newer Challenger with larger fuel tank, pontoons and maybe even the 582 for more power and strangely enough better fuel economy. I want to stick with the pusher prop tandem style plane for now. Who knows what the future will bring. Thanks for the awesome video, please send my best to Scott.

    • @mmatt
      @mmatt  Před 7 lety +1

      Will do! If you do decide on the Challenger for your next plane, please look into the latest design as it has possibly corrected some of the issues the previous generation had. If you're open to suggestions on your next plane, I'd consider looking at the CGS Hawk Arrow II. Same config as the Challenger (tri-gear, high wing, pusher) and from what I've heard, a much better design all around.

Clean out the damaged area for loose material, degrease it, apply a small amount of thin (runny) crazy glue, sprinkle in baking soda. Any way to run some hardwire power supplies to the camera mount locations and plug them all into a 2s lipo battery (which is quite small). That would put at full charge 8.4vdc available then plug the battery into a switching regulator and knock the output to 5vdc and the gopro will be happy for much longer times. Should not have any interference as the system would be divorced from the airframe. These parts are very common to the RC model flying/drone/quadcopter hobbyist. Also quite light and inexpensive.

      @@chadgriffith5819these are ultralights in Canada. No part 103 up here - a permit is needed (but not hard to get)

    I enjoy your videos bud...appreciate the effort but the “shoot it the face” remark was a bit much. Destructive species or not that animal is just trying to live...have some compassion :) keep up the good work!!!

    • @mmatt
      @mmatt  Před 5 lety +8

      I guess my compassion lies more with the farmer who is trying to make a living working that land and not with an animal who has overpopulated this area and is actively destroying crops. Besides hunting, the only other economical way of controlling the population size is with poison and that unfortunately affects other non-harmful wildlife.

      The picture for the video is an actual still from the video itself. If you go to 21:17, you'll see that. So again, how is using an actual still from the video posted "click bait"...?

    You lost me with the backwoods, hillbilly "humour" and the need to pull Tim Horton's into a flying video. I gave it 30 seconds and then my stomach threatened to unload. Try to remember what interests us pilots. Thumbs down.

      The 100,000 views this video has disagrees with you. 🙂While this video may not be to your liking, I have almost 500 others. Maybe flip through a few of them and see if you change your mind. The redneck humour doesn't come out very often, I promise. lol!
