I still play OOT on my 3DS.. which I still take with me on the go. Its time for Twilight Princess to be in my hands and play wherever I want. I feel like Sirius Black yelling "I DID MY WAITING!!".
I too wish Zelda would go back to its roots and do some more linear games. Or at least port them all and upgrade the controls and graphics so we have them on one console.
But in all honesty I’m just holding out for Twilight Princess and Wind Waker on the Switch!
I really hope they don’t stop making the more linear games myself. I really miss them after the last couple games (botw&totk). Great games but just don’t feel like Zelda.
I hope they would find a perfect in between. I personally enjoy botw/totk more then MOST of the traditional games (to me, Zelda is adventure, not looking at the same walls for ages trying to figure out a dungeon), but my top 2 favorite Zelda is lttp.
Im 53 and started my Zelda adventure on Botw and on to Totk and replay them often, my sons bought me Skyward sword , im hooked and would be happy with any new game.
Give me a full blown Ocarina of time remake. Hire the guy who created the Castle Town concept.....

NO. Every fan made Unreal Engine OoT thing I have ever seen looks absolutely horrible. They are shiny but hollow and soulless. I love OoT, it's still my number one game of all time, but making it in 1080p 60fps would take away it's charm and ruin it. It's polygon look is a good thing, it makes your imagination have to bridge the gap which adds immersion no technology can ever match or replicate.

Going off of what Grezzo did on the 3DS I think Oracle Remakes could be next.
Its very rare for Nintendo to release 3D Zelda's back to back.
I am not saying this will happen but if Nintendo gives us the best of both worlds by giving us both Oracle Remakes and WW and TP than I think that will be more than enough Zelda on Switch.

The trailer may drop in the direct next week followed with small advertisement during the Super Bowl. They did buy ad time for the Super Bowl after the January switch presentation in Japan.

I think it'd be sweet to play as an older link and be able to some how switch back and forth between that and the heros shade
I would love to see Majora's Mask & Ocarina Of Time remakes on Switch since those are my two favorite Zelda games, but I doubt we'll be getting remakes of them since we can already play their vanilla versions on Switch. So, I think we'll be seeing Wind Waker & Twilight Princess due to the fact those are two of the only good Wii U games not on Switch along with Yoshi's Woolly World, & Xenoblade Chronicles X.
Wind Waker and Twilight Princess arent originally Wii U games they first came out on the Nintendo Gamecube

A Link Between Wolrds is much more likely than Minish Cap for a remake, with Minish Cap being playable with NSO. That’d kill sales of it with so many recent playthroughs. And because I really want A Lino Between Worlds.

I would love to see the ‘Oracle’ Duology remastered….those are SOLID little games and i feel like they don’t really get the attention they should. I also would not complain if ‘Ocarina of Time’ and ‘Majora’s Mask’ got remastered again. I have so many great memories of playing those two with my friend next door as a child. 😊

I really want and hope the wind waker and twilight princess are shadow dropped with the direct. Same as they did with Metroid prime remake. Its fine if their separate. Wind waker should come first at 40. I believe the Oracles could be the remake ready. Zelda1 and 2 is another i hope makes it to the switch. They really need it. The rumored Ocarina remake looks for the next gen switch in 4k

It would be nice to see a majors mask one but make it to where you can finish the three day thing as a quest and continue to be able to play it and do it with out haven to reset time all the time just have regular play after the three day quest
We're getting luigi's mansion 2 on switch. Here's hoping that 3ds versions of ocarina of time and majoras mask make it over as well. A remake would be fine as well

Since I’ve only beaten and completed Zelda 1, 2, Link to the Past, OOT, and BOTW, looks like I personally have a lot of Zelda history to discover for the first time. And if Nintendo gets off their butts and re releases Wind Waker and Twilight Princess etc. in HD on the Switch/Switch 2, then all the better for me. Great video 😎👍
I hope they give us the zelda 3d collection. Having ocarina of time and majoras mask graphically enhanced but being able to play with the older aesthetics and the old dungeon and boss styles. Seeing a hd collection would be great too.
I think it would be good if grezzo would make their own 3d linear zelda. Although nintendo usually use that team for porting and remakes.

My fav is Tears. before that was Wind, but AWAKENING is super slept on. And Nintendo put "SUPER" IN you next console title. Because you guys have been very SUPER. I'm DEFINITELY buying your console if it says Super anything. It's just something to Super Nintendo for me.

I'm going with brand new 2D Zelda with new original story but with graphics ala the Links Awakening remake. Just like Super Mario Wonder seemed to come out of nowhere, I could see there being a whole new 2D Zelda that's been in development and come out this year.

If OoT gets a remake, it would be just like how Pokémon got 2 different remakes of R/B/Y.
We had R/G in 1996 (which became R/B in 1998 in the US), and then those games got remade as FR/LG in 2004, then they got remade again as LGP/LGE in 2018.
Similarly, the original OoT was released in 1998 and the remake, OoT3D was in 2011. So a remake in 2024 would make sense and it had been 13 years between OoT and OoT3D. Ironically, it's the same amount of time has passed since we got the 3DS remake.
I imagine the OoT remake on the Switch or Switch 2 will probably be a re-imagining since LGP/LGE was a re-imagining of Yellow. Maybe the re-imagining of OoT will use the scrapped dungeons (the Ice, Light, and Wind Temples) from the cancelled Ura version of OoT that was sussposed to be on the 64DD, which we got Zelda Gaiden, which later became Majora's Mask, and Ura Zelda became Master Quest on the GameCube.
They should make - the legend of ZELDA timeline. A game that’s set out in BOTW setting the goes into every Zelda game and you have to beat the entire time line
It has to be twilight princess. People forget twilight princess was available for game cube. It should be easy to port to the current switch or next gen console.
I would absolutely LOVE an Ocarina of Time remake in the style of RE2. and if thats a success Nintendo absolutely should do the same with Majoras Mask. the fans want it, Nintendo will make a boat load of money. it's win win for everyone.
I still think that there is demand for 2D/birds eye games. Surely, it's time to get a remake of 'A Link To The Past' or 'A Link Between Worlds' for the Switch.
All of the things. Ocarena of Time/Majora's Mas remakes, Twilight Princess/Windwaker HD, bring Phantom/Spirit Tracks/Link Between Worlds over with new control schemes, give the Oracle games/Minish Cap the Link's Awakening treatment, and a brand new 2D Zelda game. As far as 3D games, I think they may be able to bring in more classical elements and give us the best of both worlds next time - open world structure like BotW/TotK, but with massive dungeons with unique enemies, complex puzzles, and unique items. Maybe they make the open world mostly non-linear, but have the dungeons be somewhat progressive - e.g. you have a set of dungeons that can be done in any order (say 1-3), then completing those 3 unlocks the next set (4-7), then completing them all unlocks the path to Ganon. Otherwise completely open world, but allows for a litlte more story progression and the one thing I think every old school Zelda fan misses from the older games - the classic dungeons.

With all the remakes of OOT already and the availability of it and it's sequel already on Nintendos shop. Plus the fact that they remastered OOT already. Wouldn't it make more sense to at least remastered Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword for the switch 1. Then do a complete overhaul of Oot on switch 2? Or would putting a larger game like Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword with graphic buffs, be better for switch 2?
I'm excited no matter what however if they do a 2D remastered I think they are missing an opportunity.

Oracle of ages seasons NEEDS to be next. Don’t care about Ocarina or Twilight Princess in HD. There’s easily enough a bajillion ways for people to play these games on any Nintendo console already if they want. Same for Oracle games too, but they have the framework mostly laid out with the links awakening remake already, just like the did originally when they made Oracle games from the Links awakening engine…
All of the gameboy Zelda are available on the switch if you include Nintendo online. The only two Zelda games that you can’t play on the switch are windwaker and twilight princess

Ocarina of Time and Majora’s Mask in one
I would love to see Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask 3D get ported to either the Nintendo Switch or the next Nintendo console in full HD. Say what you want about the MM remake for 3DS but I personally don't mind that they made the game easier. I just want to play these games so bad on current-gen hardware in some sort of remastered form (I know they have already been released for NSO) so that people can see what truly made the N64 Zeldas so special. Even though BotW and TotK are good games, I miss the old Zelda formula, not only with how the older games were more linear, but also just the world-building and overall dark vibe I think the open-world games have lost in many ways. Oot and MM are the best examples of this, there are so many mysteries and dark secrets that go unexplained throughout the story, and how everything connects through the timeline is also interesting, which the open-world games don't really mention. In my opinion, Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask are some of the best games ever, the subtlety of Hyrule and Termina are what makes them so interesting. They're not trying to tell you the dark aspects right to your face, it's just lying there in the background, which almost makes it even more creepy. I really miss that type of Zelda games and it's sad to see that they probably won't be back as the open-world formula is the way to go nowadays.

Don't forget they had the Cadence of Hyrule game as well. And to be honest, I just want TP and Windeaker HD ports. The switch has tons of Zelda already, more than any other Nintendo system.
Id like to see OoT and Majora's Mask remake along with Twilight Princess and Wind Waker. I grew up on N64 and Gamecube. I love Zelda and Mario games. I just beat Tears of the Kingdom and it was fun but not gonna lie, i dont find it replayable. I beat Twilight, Wind Waker, Majora's Mask and OoT A LOT. I still find them replayable after a while
I hope there's plans to bring everything to the Switch. I had all Nintendo made Zelda games and lost them due to being homeless. There's other games I'd also like brought to the Switch since I like the series.
Just give me a new zelda with open world, multiple old school temples, weapons that doesnt break, no cell shading grafics :v

You have more faith in their love the Zelda franchise then I do. I expect this direct to disappoint any of us expecting any Zelda love. Nintendo will do what they do best and not give us what we want. Probably 3 more mario games and a yoshi game or something no one is asking for
