Student's Love Trump's Second Term Agenda...When They Think It's Biden's

  • Florida Campus Correspondent Ophelie Jacobson spoke to students about President Trump's recently released agenda for his second term. Jacobson asked students to react to some of the ideas, but told students they were part of Biden's plan. Watch how students react when Jacobson tells students these are in fact Trump's ideas, and how he already has a track record of accomplishing some of his goals.
FULL STORY: The Trump campaign recently released its agenda for a second term, building off the administration’s first-term accomplishments. Campus Reform asked students about some of the initiatives listed on the agenda, without telling them they were part of Trump's agenda.
Instead, students were told the agenda was Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden's.
The students seemed to like the ideas listed, which included stopping endless wars and bringing our troops home, wiping out global terrorists who threaten to harm Americans and dismantling human trafficking networks.
“The fight on terrorism has always been important, especially in America. So getting rid of stuff that can harm American lives is perfect,” one student said after hearing that “Biden” wanted to wipe out global terrorists.
“I think that’s a great initiative. Um, really important, because obviously, human trafficking, especially in South Florida which is where I’m from, is a huge issue. So from what it sounds like, it sounds like a great idea,” another student said in response to hearing about dismantling human trafficking networks.
Some of the students said that these ideas had an influence on whether or not they would vote for Biden in November.
“I mean, I still haven’t decided yet, but these things all sound great and they’re definitely making me lean more towards Biden,” one student said.
Campus Reform then mentioned that this was Trump’s agenda, not Biden's.
“It surprised me a little bit because I don’t have the highest opinion of the president at the time, but I think that’s great,” one student said in response to learning that the Trump administration allocated more than $400 million to dismantle human trafficking networks.
“I think everyone, including myself, could be a little bit more looking at the policies of the President rather than their character” another student replied.
“In this time, not a lot of the good he does is heard. It does help knowing that he is doing these things,” one student said.

Before his expansion of the Liberal Welfare state, only 20% of black children were raised in single parent households. 30 years after his policies were implemented (so essentially 1 generation), that number had tripled. LBJ pretty much destroyed the black family with his awful policies. I suggest looking into economist Thomas Sowell, who explains this in much greater detail.

Allison Keck I’m not sure how the welfare system is contributing to racism based on your point. I don’t know if you agree but I believe it should be illegal for someone who is eligible to work to bring in taxpayers money because they want to sit on their lazy ass and not contribute. Also, I don’t think theirs too many Jim Crow supporting politicians remain. If their are, that’s the people’s fault for voting him in. Republican or Democrat, racism is wrong, and I firmly believe the president is not racist. Thank your for being respectful with your point.

Allison Keck I understand that Jim Crow supporting politicians could pass down that ideology through the generations. But I have yet to hear of many self proclaimed or even non self proclaimed racist politicians in a higher state of government to where they can make any laws. And even in the 60s, Jim Crow is the only main act passed. Most of the laws we follow today are either from common sense in high ranking politicians or the the constitution and its respective amendments. If their is so called systemic racism, than there would be many more racist politicians. If you could name some racist politicians with solid proof, not a quote. Policies that have been enforced that are racist in recent memory. Jim Crow was awful, but we’re past it, and I think if we want all racism to end, we should stop talking about it.

Allison Keck Please I’m not trying to be rude, but what are the racist and white supremacist policies that are targeting minorities? I mean, an actual example, an actual law passed that specifically has targeted minorities. And I don’t think I’m very wrong. Tell me, if you never taught a boy about race, that were all the same inside and out. Vs a kid who you explicitly talk about race too. Which ones gonna have a more likely opinion to judge someone based on race? Talking to a kid about depression is very different than teaching systemic racism. I myself don’t think systemic racism is real, and all I’ve heard so far is anecdotes and accusations. Jim Crow was horrible, if we don’t want it to happen again, than let’s stop talking about race so much. And I’m very willing to hear from you on what it is.

(Jobs, the economy, stock market records, Obama being harder on illegals than Trump is, Trump trying to keep Muslim countries from murdering gay people, first time being net exporters of natural resources, no evidence of him being racist but evidence that Hillary is, all time low black unemployment and some other stuff).
About 3 weeks later I hung out with him again and he said, "well, you're right, he's doing some good things, but he tweets the most insulting things". Then I asked if he would rather have a president that is a bit arrogant (another point he made) and tweets stupid things sometimes, or a president that fails at running the country and has real life ties to the KKK.
Now, he says he's voting Trump but only because Biden is worse.
I'll take it as a win. He can hate Trump for all I care. If he votes for him. It's a win. But, I've actually lost friends for condemning BLM as a terrorist group and supporting Trump. I told them (it was only 2 people) that if they didn't want to be my friend because I don't like people killing cops for nothing, then they aren't the kind of people I want around me anyway. Which is true. I look at it like, they lost the friend. Not me. I lost someone that isn't a good person that I thought was my friend.
