Enjoyed this fam... I love to hear about people's vision, work and expectations. I'm so happy for you and I don't even know you bro. I guess it's because of your humble demeanor. And yes it is very important to feel the right vibe from people that wants to work with you, and confirm with God the people you need to work with.
Thanks a lot brother. I appreciate those words.

Thanks a lot!
Very inspirational, I sent this to my son to give him some ideas. Thank you and continued good luck and much success!
Thanks a lot! I truly appreciate you even viewing this video. But to share it means even more. I wish your son much success in whatever venture he’s getting into.
1 year update, his place has done well. Like you said, getting barbers is difficult. He worked 12 hour days for about 4 months and then got his first barber. He didn't work out, but he did find 4 really great guys, and things have been going great. Your statement about finding the right people is on point. They have to vibe. After getting a couple of not so great people, we decided to have peer interviews. We are all about keeping our guys happy! I wish you the best, and thank you for being an inspiration to all of us!
You look like your doing well. Advice I was given that I try to follow is, work on the idea that 10% of the people who say they will show, will actually do it. Don’t do mates rates, Everyone pays. Offer extra services once your clients are established. Offer products you can profit on but don’t push them, make people wanna be in your place as much as you.
If you can get paid to do something you love, you will never work another day in your life
Thanks for the advice! I try my best to practice all those things you mentioned. That’s what’s been keeping the shop afloat
Appreciate the free game.
You’re welcome
So inspiring at the end man. I’ll let you know how we progress at House of Fades Hawaii 🔥
Thank you! Good luck with everything! I’m sure success is on the way.
Well what happened?

I noticed in other video you mentioned going to ABI in New York City? Was it really only four months? And do they accept financial aid? And last but not least, how many hours a day were the classes
I attended Tribeca Barber and Beauty school in Queens. It’s 500hrs state mandated for all Barber Schools in NY.
@@livsbarbershop9029 one more question do they accept financial aid or do you have to pay up front?
@@livsbarbershop9029 You located on Alantic Ave Fam.
where did you get the chairs and equipments and also how much money do you need to start
Got my chairs from www.dirsalonfurniture.com/
Most of my equipment came from Amazon. As far as startup cost it can range from 5k-100k. It all depends on what city you’re in and how much of a renovation you desire.
Can you talk about opening a barbershop as someone who is NOT a barber?
Will do
Thank you !
You’re welcome. Stay tune for the “First Year” update
How do you pay the barber, is it per client?!
I prefer paying them at the end of the work day.
Hey bro. I hope you're still in business and thriving.
Yessir!!!!.... thanks for the well wishes! I’m past due for the “First Year” update
I live in Los Angeles, can you open a barbershop without being a barber?
You can, however finding good barbers is a difficult task. I think in any business someone decides to open, you should definitely know how to operate that business on your own. There might come a time where it’s only the business owner in the business working. You’re going to need to be able hold it down by yourself. I’m going through that right now. If I didn’t know how to cut hair, I would be in big trouble.
You need to employe me .. I like your shop
Quick question bro why do you think of opening my own shop but under my aunts name? She got her L’s I learned straight off CZcams
As long as she has a Master Barber’s License, you should be good. If you want to work in there, you will need an apprentice license, which is only a written exam. And it’s not that hard to attain. But at least one master have to be in the shop at all times to avoid fines if inspectors come around.
What made you decide on the name liv's
Named it after my son.
Where's it at?
Brooklyn NY
The truth is he bought a job.....he's better off renting a chair....
once he gets barbers in his shop, he will be making passive income without cutting a hair himself
@@offperkz2454 Nope, more money is made behind the chair. The barbers will pay the rent, insurance, taxes, upkeep, and more. Any money left is chump change. The only way a shop makes money is to have 8 or more chairs running 6 days a week. If the rent is high, even more chairs.
@@furiousbarber9169 i’m estimating he has about 10 or so chairs in his shop. if each and every one of those chairs are occupied and paying booth rent of 300 a week, that’s 2700 a week ( not including his chair ). with that type of income you don’t need to cut hair yourself, but you can to make even more
and ofc you’d still have to deduct the expenses from that pay but even after you deduct the expense he should still be making 1000 a week AT LEAST. and maybe 1,700 at most
