    The topic at the 55:00 min mark brings to mind the phrase- “you cannot truly call yourself peaceful unless you are capable of great violence, if you are not capable of violence you are not peaceful you are harmless”.

    • @robertwilson8184

      @@channeldos Care to substantiate that?
      The entire idea of the statement is that someone who is capable of doing terrible things, but restrains it, is "peaceful." Another word is "meek." (The original word meaning something like "those who have their swords and know how to use them but elect to keep them sheathed.")
      If someone is not capable of restraining their own violence when it isn't appropriate, they're not peaceful, they're tyrannical. If someone cannot generate great violence, they're not peaceful, they're harmless.
      What part of this is overanalyzing? I personally ponder this kind of shit very often, but I didn't see any other private citizens showing up to a mass shooter threat with a firearm/medical, sometime last year. (Local mall). Are you saying just because I ponder this, I wouldn't be able to perform under duress, when I was the only person who showed up that wasn't Law Enforcement (IE, wasn't required to)?
      I think you're overgeneralizing to serve your own egotistical view of yourself.

    I will say this is good info but as a female shooter it’s better to load the hips than t!ts. Any women who actually use body armor during drills knows that the heavier the carrier is the more uncomfortable and at times painful it is to wear for extended periods of time. Padding helps…somewhat…but if any ladies are having issues with their plate carriers causing pain, remove all attached items and slowly add back until you find your particular sweet spot for weight. Keep in mind this can take weeks if not months to fine tune depending on your shooting schedule.

    The Kore Essentials Battle Belt has by far been the BEST duty belt I have ever worn. Micro pals webbing, 4" worth of 1/4" adjustments WHILE WEARING the belt (no fighting with Cobra buckles to adjust sizing), it is cut specifically for you and your pant measurement instead of sizes of small, med and large so it fits EXACTLY how you want it too, weather that be lose or very snug and you can go between those two at any time with no hassle and without removing all of your kit! The belt is extremely rigid due to the multi layer system having a plastic center, the nylon has a subtle sheen to it that looks very professional while wearing duty blues and is thin/light weight so it doesn't dig into your hips and back while driving. I have worn it with full duty equipment such as taser, asp, mags, 2x cuffs, pistol, keys, TQ and it holds everything perfectly. I have also worn it in conjunction with an outer carry vest so only running mags and pistol and holds everything tight to my body without having to move the buckle around or do anything crazy to get it to fit properly after removing all of the gear that was on it prior. Has been one of the best investments I have made in my 7 years on the job!

    You need suspenders if you're wearing any weight on your hips. I carried a duty belt for way too many years and literally have indentations in my hip bones from it. Now whenever I wear a gun belt or tool belt I throw suspenders on, absolutely takes all the pain out of it. Still keeps your COG low, but helps distribute the load.

Find a base (Italian herbs and cheese), figure out the environment you’ll use it in (spicy Italian), and decide what pouches will suit your needs best (lettuce, spinach, pickles, onions, and bell peppers). Blauer makes an inner belt that is pretty fantastic. It’s not ultra stiff but makes up for it in comfortability. It stretches and has little rubber strips to keep it from rotating between belt loops and is fairly stretchy. Granted I use a safariland outer belt for work that is probably one of the most stiff so it makes up for what the inner belt lacks in that department. I wear this belt day in day out working 12 hour shifts and have zero complaints. No more circulation marks on the hips after a long day. About 20 bucks a pop. It’ll likely wear out after about 2 years but for a Velcro product that’s pretty standard I’d say. Great information in this one. Thanks for the knowledge.

    @16:50 You can defeat the necessity of a thigh strap by applying a rotational force to the gun while drawing with your wrist. You do this by attempting to bend your wrist inward while drawing but it does require practice to get it right. This might night work on lower drop down pistol holsters like the one that uses the Safariland quick detach module.

    • @drmnez
      @drmnez Před 3 lety +1

      Seems like an unnecessary motion that will cause inconsistencies in your draw. It is however an interesting take on the draw if you are dead set against thigh straps and do it for all your draws

    So HSGI makes a grip belt panel, to go as the inner belt on a 2 piece setup. Seems like getting a belt like the Ronin or eagle industries belt, then get the regular inner belt and the HSGI inner belt, would allow you to run the same outer belt in either configuration depending on garments like a jacket.

Gives it a more generalized view for all of its other uses and describes the load out for the tactics you will be running. Range, hunting, airsoft, shtf grab and go, vehicle quick grab... can even pop on some pouches for the house work projects😁. Would you run any of the inner belts from a two piece as an edc belt? Came to mind as you want your grab and go gear to go on fast. Thanks for the great content and products!

      I use a clip on sidecar holster that can come off immediately in order to then don the outer belt, swap the gun to the new holster and good to go in just a few seconds if need be.
