    Another great video Jeff. It probably goes w/o saying that it’s not something you can do if there’s underfloor heating or any other wiring. Maybe it’s because the video is sped up but hammering and prying the tile w/o protecting the tile being kept made me wince a little.

    Any tips on removing Schluter All Set Haze from tiles before grouting?

      yes, try vinegar and a white scrubby pad - test an area for doing everything. If it’s marble, let me know because that’s a different story

    How are you going to fix the waterproofing after this (between the existing Ditra and whatever comes next on the shower side)?

    • @HomeRepairTutor
      @HomeRepairTutor  Před 3 lety

      you can set the curb against the existing tile (leave an expansion joint) then silicone against the curb and tile. Once the curb is tiled, add a second silicone joint between the tiles 👍🏼

    Would this work for a curbless shower? I hired contractors 4 years ago to install tile in the bathroom and I'm debating now whether to tear the whole thing up to install a shower.

    • @HomeRepairTutor

      yes, but we recommend waterproofing the entire bathroom floor outside a curbless shower, eg adding DITRA and overlapping that with the shower system products used for the shower
