So I often find when places say there are dog friendly, they cannot cater for the largest of dogs. Taxis are the same. They expect you to get in with a small dog on your lap and not one that takes up the whole boot. It's happened on trains too. The website just isn't up to par in this regard.
That restaurant booking service is smart. Whether enough restaurants are open minded enough for it to sign up would be the concern. There is a big difference between inviting adorable Lola into your business vs an aggressive big dog. But we have so many times been on a road trip with our dog and find ourselves spending an hour calling everything on yelp to see if they will let us take our dog. More often than not it ends up with us eating takeout in the car.
