I almost got kidnapped with my friend yesterday. Me and her were in the creek in really revealing bathing suits when a man that looked about in his 40’s walked up to a fence and started looking at us. When I noticed him I yelled my friends name, (we’ll call her Melanie since I don’t wanna say her actual name.) and she saw him as well. I yelled repeatedly “MELANIE LETS GO, RUN!” So I ran and got our stuff and I tried going through one exit, but he started running that way. I told my friend to stay behind me, then I ran to another exit but he started running there as well, so I grabbed my friends wrist and I SPRINTED through the creek until I got into someone’s backyard. After that, I ran into their front yard and me and my friend started running as far as we could away from the creek. About 20 minutes later we found a way to get back to my house that wasn’t by the creek, and we got there safe. During it all I was so worried about getting me and my friend away from him that while I was running through the creek a thorn went in my big toe and I didn’t even feel it until later. We got home safely and changed so I could take the trash out, then we stayed inside for the rest of the day. I am so glad that she is safe.
There was a time my older cousin who was around 18 yrs old at the time was on a walk with me and my little cousin. I was 10 and my little cousin was 6 years old, so you can imagine the responsibility that she had put onto herself to keep us safe. While walking a man approached us and asked me if I wanted to see some puppies he had in his van that his dog recently gave birth to. I was going to agree because I was dumb and loved animals. But my cousin said " *No* ." In a firm voice and pulled us away from him, quickly taking us home. She then told me to never go with a stranger even if they seem nice if I'm ever alone. I'm very grateful for her doing what she did. He looked sketchy but the the urge to see cute puppies made me overlook it smh.
@@parisgirl680 nah the mistake was saying no one’s there because big she would’ve said someone was there then she could’ve went inside and said lemme go get them and then lock all doors and call an adult
Her actual biggest mistake was not screaming. They're always fucking bluffing people always. Remember you're probably in a public area (she definitely was) if you scream and they shoot you. They're fucked. Like guaranteed. There are witnesses of the suspect and car. Which was parked so they got tha license plate easily. And tha cherry on top! That's a fucking neighborhood. They ain't gettin out b4 the cops get in. That would be the BIGGEST mistake she made. Of course Remember kids the smart choice would to not be a dumb fuck and let random ass strangers get anywhere near you. Especially YOUR OWN FUCKING HOUSE. YOU KNOW THEY DON'T BELONG THERE FAM.
Or "yeah, let me go get her." And just run inside and don't come back and call an adult bc anyone who asks that either has no good intentions or actually just needs to talk to your parents and either way you do NOT need to be there for that lmao
Look at how he seems like such a normal, nice person in the beginning. That's why we should also suspect the unsuspicious and be on guard with strangers. Stay safe everyone 💙
Bruh me to I had a dream that I was locked in a neighborhood and that I knocked on someone's door and asked for help then they try to kidnap me and I fight till I got out the house then I ran back for my phone got back out a woman started fighting her I ran out hid in the trees and let it all out
REMINDER: if anyone you aren’t close to asks if your parents are home, the answer is always yes. They are waiting for you to get home, maybe they’re calling you as you speak to the person. NEVER tell anyone your parents aren’t home, it will greatly increase the chances you’re going to get kidnapped.
@@FeverHdmi That's still weird and sus tho, you shouldn't trust people that easy, you don't know who they are or what they want, just bc they don't do it right there doesn't mean they have good intentions or that they won't do it. Stay safe and if you are going to say your parents are not at home at least do it from a safe place and don't let them get too close to you.
I got beaten by my mum once because my mum borrowed her friends baby cart and her husband came to pick it up , I didn’t know how to open the main door so I gave it to him form the back door . The biggest mistake never stop walking until you get where u need to go. And most definitely do not just walk up to a car and a person you don’t know.#staysafepeople ❤
NEVER tell a stranger that your home alone or there's no parents, you never know what could happen. A lady knocked on my door once and she asked if my parents were home and I said no and literally I feel so lucky bc what if her intention was to kidnap someone??
Yh Like If someone comes TO my House and im alone i Just yes they are Home but my Mom IS taking a shower thats easiest way or Just say If they are ask SHUT the * up
I'm not blaming her... but damn was she a dumbass 😂 she might as well have invited him into her home and welcomed him to kidnap her and everyone she knows.
my mom always told me “even if I’m not home and a stranger asks if anyone is home, ALWAYS say that I’m home or your father or friends it doesn’t matter. Just say you aren’t alone at home”
For people who don’t understand (or just want to know more) This is a clip from the movie “The Girl Who Escaped” where 15 year old Kara Robison was kidnapped by a serial killer of little girls. He abducted them, would assault them, and then k!ll them. Kara was able to escape and got police involved and is now living a normal life and is now talking about her experience online. Hope this helps!!
This movie is based on real story, the girl’s name is Kara Robinson (at the time 15yo). Her kidnapper (Richard Evonitz) turned out to be a serial killer who murdered 3 other girls. The movie is amazing, the main actress is great. The story is so emotional and well portrayed: Kara’s emotions, her smartness while being held hostage, the impact on her family, the role of the officers to support Kara through everything etc. Worth watching. The title is The Girl Who Escaped: The Kara Robinson Story. you can also find videos of Kara talking about her story on CZcams, she did a documentary about her case and an interview on Anthony Padilla called “I Spent a Day With Kidnapping Survivors” edit: I watched the movie on CZcams
Also consider this, you don’t know how crazy they are. You don’t want to be at their mercy. What do you want to risk, dying fast there or dying really, *REALLY* slow later as a completely broken version of you that will never come back.
@@ohmygodbecky6829that’s true but even if I get killed it’s I higher chance of them getting caught and for me that’s worth dying for but most likely there not gonna shoot :/

Katie Douglas is such an amazing actress because the fact that this is her second role playing a kidnapped and assaulted character just shocks me everytime. The way she expresses herself when acting in the scenes make me want to tear up and cry. Also it's so sad to even hear about the real girl that went through this she didn't deserve that and that men was a lowlife bastard. I loved watching this movie and getting to know more about the Kara Robinson story.
@@Quackerslol The other role that Katie Douglas played was Lisa McVey in the movie Believe Me: The Abduction of Lisa McVey. I loved watching that movie it was so good and the movie was sad but the outcome of the movie was really good. If u haven't watched the movie yet u should because it is a really good movie that was really inspiring and it showed how Lisa McVey wasn't a victim but she was a survivor and she fought for people to believe her and what had happened to her.

I JUST finished watching this movie bc of this short and I loved it, it made me realize how intelligent and amazing people can be at such a young age. OML- MOM IM FAMOUS
here r some tips, hope this helps! •don’t EVER tell someone ur home alone. tell them that a few of ur family members are home and that you could go get them to talk to the person. (this would most likely make them say “oh no it’s okay” because they probably wouldn’t have planned on u saying that.) •when u r home alone, try to never be outside or be outside as little as possible. always keep the door locked, blinds shut, windows locked, etc. •anyone could be a kidnapper. just bc they don’t “look” like one, doesn’t mean that they aren’t. this man’s approach was very nice and didn’t seem like he would do anything. be safe everyone!! edit: oml mummay i’m famous 🤠
I always try to be safe while home alone bc my parents have to work a lot mostly my mom bc the person she’s watching is on her death bed and I have to be home alone a lot and I get so paranoid so I check the doors that lead outside (we have 4) and idrk if the windows can open
TW: Rape, Assault, Violence On June 24th, 2002, Kara Robinson was a 15 year old girl who was just hanging with her best friend. Her and her friend wanted to go to the lake since it was the weekend. They confirmed with both of their mothers that it was okay, and they both agreed. The friends mother had told them to water the flowers in the front yard before they were able to go, And Kara volunteered to do so. Kara noticed that a black car kept going in and out of the neighborhood but didn’t think much of it. She then realized that it had pulled into her friends driveway, but thought it was just one of her bestfriends moms friends. When a man appeared out of the car, she became suspicious. He was holding a binder and fliers which wasn’t out of the ordinary. He asked whether anyone was home, to which she replied with no. He then came closer to her and held a gun to the side of her neck and told her that if she screamed, he’d shoot. Kara decided to keep calm and obliged. She was put in a plastic container in the car, and they drove away. Kara is extremely resilient and smart that she memorized what was happening around her. She was taken back to his apartment where she was assaulted for at least 18 hours. During those 18 hours, she gained his trust which was very intelligent of her. They smoked together, until he drugged her. He then again assaulted her until he fell asleep. Kara finally woke up to find the man still sleeping. She saw this as an opportunity to escape, possibly her only one. She slowly and carefully uncuffed herself from the fluff covered hand cuffs, with wire around, and made her way to the living room. She found her close, flung the door open, and ran for her life. Literally. She ran until she found a car pulling out of the apartment complex and stopped it. She urgently said that she was abducted and needed to get help. They were shell shocked by what they had just heard and rushed her to the sherif. There was eventually FBI involved and this was a nationwide manhunt. When they did find him, he took the easy way out the like absolute bastard that he is, and shot himself dead. With further investigation, the FBI found out he was involved in 3 other young women’s cases. He raped and strangled them all. I hope he is rotting in hell and is being tortured every single day as he should be. I’m disgusted by this story so much. That old shit makes my blood boil. Please let me know if i missed anything.
Something that my mom said once to me and i'll remember forever: "if someone threaten you with a gun and try to get you in a car, don't enter it. Sometimes it's better to die than to live for what these people want to do with you" After i saw the case of Junko Furuta i realized it was everything truth
This is actually a true story. It is about a 15 year old girl named Kara Robinson. After the guy put the gun to her head, he forced her into the car and left. After driving for a while, he stopped and forced her into a storage bin in the trunk of the car. He put a gag on her and tied her feet and hands. They drove to his house and that’s where he ungagged and untied her. He r*ped her multiple times and forced her to watch p**n. At night he tied her to the bed with hand cuffs and tied her foot with a shackle. In the morning she woke up before him and was able to escape. She saw a car coming and the car drove her to the nearest police station. They called her mother and they were reunited. The man that kidnapped her ended up killing himself before the police were able to catch him. He had done this multiple times before to other girls and planned to kill Kara after he was done with her. It’s an interesting story and Kara Robinson is a strong survivor. There is multiple shows on this story and multiple videos and websites that explain what happened to her and her kidnapper in more detail.
When I was 12, this guy pulled up to my lawn and asked me if my parents were home. I lied and told him that my Dad was on the other side of the window, I was pointing at the windows on the 2nd story of my house. The man then drove away without saying anything. To this day I am so happy I lied.
@@XxidfkxX he took her to his house and asked her some questions like what is you bf and bff name or her parents name and that stuff and he asked her to call her daddy and did some of the stuff im not gonna tell you more so i dont spoil you hope this helps. ohh yeah every time he has to gi some where he puts her is a box
Always say there’s someone near especially with a stranger. If they get close, build distance, say call someone if you can, pretend someone is calling, pretend you’re on the phone, just keep a good distance always pretend there’s someone.
Never say you're alone, even if you make the mistake of saying you're alone, always say your dad's is coming to pick you up. Always have your phone handy. Stay safe.
I remember once walking home from school only to have a grown woman walk up to me to ask me for directions. I don't remember how old I was, but definitely was in elementary school at that time. The lady kept asking me about directions and pointing at her car asking me to come along and show her the direction on the map. I kept saying I couldn't or that I didn't know, that I really needed to go home and that my parents were waiting for me. There were also people in the park, and I kept glancing over to them thinking to tell the lady my parents were over there. Thankfully she saw my constant reluctance and backed off herself. I was far away from the parking place in broad daylight, so I could have easily screamed for help which probably made her back off idk. Whichever the case, it was terrifying and I'm glad I got home safe.
I had that happen to me once to the woman was about 30 and I saw a gun in her pocket to I told her to back of {bad idea}. I saw my father come over and he said to her to back of aswell or he would call the police he did but the woman got away.
idk what to call this Natascha Maria Kampusch (born 17 February 1988) is an Austrian author and former talk show host. At the age of 10, on 2 March 1998, she was abducted and held in a secret cellar by her kidnapper Wolfgang Přiklopil for more than eight years, until she escaped on 23 August 2006. Upon her escape, Přiklopil killed himself by stepping in front of a train at a nearby station. She has written a book about her ordeal, 3,096 Days (2010), which was later adapted into a film released in 2013. Early life[edit] Kampusch was raised by her mother, Brigitta Sirny (née Kampusch), and her father, Ludwig Koch, in Vienna. Kampusch's family included two adult sisters, and five nieces and nephews. Sirny and Koch separated while Kampusch was still a child and divorced after her abduction. Kampusch spent time with both of them, and had returned to her mother's home from a holiday with Koch the day before her kidnapping.[1][2] At the time of her abduction, she was a student at the Brioschiweg primary school.[3] Controversy[edit] Ludwig Adamovich, head of a special commission looking into possible police failures in the investigation of the kidnapping, claimed that the time Kampusch was imprisoned "was always better than what she had known until then".[4] This assessment was denied by Brigitta Sirny, and Adamovich's statement was found to be defamatory by a criminal court, and he was fined €10,000.[5] In Kampusch's 2010 book about her kidnapping, 3,096 Days, she stated that her parents slapped her, and that she was considering suicide on the day of her abduction.[6] However, Kampusch asserted that her mother was not abusive and that her home life was better than life in captivity.[6] Abduction[edit] The 10-year-old Kampusch left her family's residence in Vienna's Donaustadt district on the morning of 2 March 1998, but failed to arrive at school or come home. A 12-year-old witness reported having seen her being dragged into a white minibus by two men,[7][8] although Kampusch did not report a second man being present.[9] A massive police effort followed in which 776 minivans were examined,[10][11] including that of her kidnapper Přiklopil, who lived about half an hour from Vienna by car in the Lower Austrian town of Strasshof a der Nordbahn near Gänserndorf. He stated that he was alone at home on the morning of the kidnapping, and the police were satisfied with his explanation that he was using the minibus to transport rubble from the construction of his home.[12] Speculations arose of child pornography rings or organ theft,[13] leading officials to also investigate possible links to the crimes of French serial killer Michel Fourniret.[14] Kampusch had carried her passport with her when she left, as she had been on a family trip to Hungary a few days before, so the police extended the search abroad. Accusations against Kampusch's family complicated the issue even more.[15] Captivity[edit] During the eight years of her captivity, Kampusch was held in a small cellar underneath Přiklopil's garage. The entrance was concealed behind a cupboard. The cellar had only 5 m2 (54 sq ft) of space. It had a door made of concrete and was reinforced with steel. The room had no windows and was soundproof.[16] For the first six months of her captivity, Kampusch was not allowed to leave the chamber at any time, and for several years of her captivity, she was not allowed to leave the tiny space at night. Afterward, she spent increasing amounts of time upstairs in the rest of the house, but each night was sent back to the chamber to sleep, as well as while Přiklopil was at work. In later years, she was seen outside in the garden alone,[17] and Přiklopil's business partner has said that Kampusch seemed relaxed and happy when Přiklopil and she called at his home to borrow a trailer.[18][19] After her 18th birthday, she was allowed to leave the house with Přiklopil, but her kidnapper threatened to kill her if she made any noise.[20] He later took her on a skiing trip to a resort near Vienna for a few hours. She initially denied that they had made the trip, but eventually admitted that it was true, although she said that she had no chance to escape during that time.[21] According to Kampusch's official statement after her escape, Přiklopil and she would get up early each morning to have breakfast together. Přiklopil gave her books, so she educated herself. She did not feel that she had missed anything during her imprisonment, but she noted, "I spared myself many things, I did not start smoking or drinking and I did not hang out in bad company", but she also said, "It was a place to despair".[22] She was given a television and radio to pass the time, although she was initially only allowed to watch taped programs and listen to foreign radio stations so that she would not be aware of the publicised search for her.[23] At one point, she tried to escape by jumping out of a car.[22] A large portion of Kampusch's time upstairs was spent doing housework[24] for Přiklopil and cooking for him.[23] Dietmar Ecker, Kampusch's media advisor, said that Přiklopil "would beat her so badly that she could hardly walk".[25] Přiklopil would starve her to make her physically weak and unable to escape.[23] Kampusch was also raped by Přiklopil.[26][27] Přiklopil had warned Kampusch that the doors and windows of the house were booby-trapped with high explosives. He also claimed to be carrying a gun and that he would kill her and the neighbors if she attempted to escape.[28] Nevertheless, Kampusch on one occasion fantasized about chopping his head off with an axe, although she quickly dismissed the idea.[29] She also attempted to make noise during her early years of captivity by throwing bottles of water against the walls.[29] She said that on trips out with Přiklopil, she had attempted to attract attention, but in vain.[29] Escape[edit] The 18-year-old Kampusch escaped from Přiklopil's house on 23 August 2006. At 12:53 pm, she was cleaning and vacuuming her kidnapper's white van [30] in the garden when Přiklopil got a call on his mobile phone. Because of the vacuum's loud noise, he walked away to take the call. Kampusch left the vacuum cleaner running and ran away, unseen by Přiklopil, who completed the phone call without any sign of being disturbed or distracted. Kampusch ran for some 200 meters (218 yards) through neighboring gardens and a street, jumping fences, and asking passers-by to call the police, but they paid her no attention. After about five minutes, she knocked on the window of a 71-year-old neighbour known as Inge T, saying, "I am Natascha Kampusch".[31] The neighbor called the police, who arrived at 1:04 pm. Later, Kampusch was taken to the police station in the town of Deutsch-Wagram. Kampusch was identified by a scar on her body, by her passport (which was found in the room where she had been held), and by DNA tests.[32] She was in good physical health,[33] although she looked pale and shaken and weighed only 48 kg (106 lb); she weighed 45 kg (99 lb) when she disappeared eight years earlier. Her body mass index had reached as low as 14.8 (normal BMI: 18.5 to 24.9), and she grew only 15 cm (5.9 in) during her captivity. Kidnapper[edit] Wolfgang Přiklopil ([ˈvɔlfɡaŋ ˈpr̝ɪklopɪl]; 14 May 1962 - 23 August 2006) was an Austrian communications technician of Czech origin. He was born to Karl and Waltraud Přiklopil in Vienna, and was an only child. His father was a cognac salesman and his mother was a shoe saleswoman.[34] Přiklopil worked at Siemens for a time as a communications technician. Přiklopil escaped [35] in his red BMW sports car that was later found in a Vienna car park; knowing that the police were after him, he committed suicide that night[35] by jumping in front of an oncoming train near the Wien Nord station in Vienna. He had apparently planned to end his own life rather than be caught, having told Kampusch, "they would not catch him alive".[36] Evidence recovery was complicated, as Přiklopil's only computer was a 1980s Commodore 64, which is incompatible with modern-day data-recovery programs.[37] Before Kampusch escaped, Přiklopil was trying to procure false papers as a Czech citizen to "begin a new life" with Kampusch.[38] Aftermath[edit] In her official statement, Kampusch said, "I don't want and will not answer any questions about personal or intimate details".[39] After Kampusch's escape, police investigated whether Přiklopil had an accomplice,[40] but they eventually determined that he acted alone.[41] Kampusch sympathized with her captor in the documentary Natascha Kampusch: 3096 days in captivity. She said, "I feel more and more sorry for him - he's a poor soul".[42] According to police, she "cried inconsolably" when she was told that he was dead,[43] and she lit a candle for him at the morgue.[44] She has, however, referred to her captor as a "criminal".[45] Newspapers quoting unnamed psychologists suggested that Kampusch might suffer from Stockholm syndrome,[46][47] but Kampusch says that this is not the case. She suggests that people who use this term about her are disrespectful of her and do not allow her the right to describe and analyze the complex relationship that she had with her kidnapper in her own words. Interviews[edit] After reportedly "hundreds of requests for an interview" with the teenager, "with media outlets offering vast sums of money", Kampusch was interviewed by Austrian public broadcaster ORF. The interview was broadcast on 6 September 2006 with her approval. ORF did not pay a fee for its interview[48] but agreed to forward any proceeds from selling the interview to other channels, forecasted to total 300,000 euros,[49] to be donated to women in Africa and Mexico by Kampusch.[50] Likewise she was planning projects to help these women.
If you’re ever in this position never stay quiet. Scream as loud as you can, try running away and start screaming your name and the word fire. If they are ready to shoot you in broad daylight or anywhere where others can hear you than they’ll do worse things to you if you are at a different place. I would rather want to die in that moment than being held hostage for multiple years
I agree besides most of the time I doubt their goal is to kill you instantly.. it's possible they could just leave the scene if you get someone's attention
that’s why i don’t ever speak to strangers or even people in my neighborhood unless i know them decently enough and i immediately run inside if i see a random person pulling up near my house if im alone outside without my friends or parents
I remember a case just like this A girl was outside her or her friends home and a man piulled up offering to sell magazines. She declined but when she turned around he grabbed her and stuffed her in a container in the back of his car. She was kept in his apartment for a long time, until she saw a brush with long red hair. She eventually escaped and was able to ask someone around who lived in the building that had red hair. Turned out it was the kidnappers SO who was away. He ran from police and kxlled himself in his car. **True story
@@R-0-S-E she became a police officer. Her name is Kara Robson and her kidnapper turned out to be a serial killer. I’m pretty sure this movie is about her, she was abducted EXACTLY the same way.

TW: Rape, Assault, Violence
On June 24th, 2002, Kara Robinson was a 15 year old girl who was just hanging with her best friend.

Nahh She wasn’t even scared, she was mad confused 💀
No she was in shock 😂

Natascha Maria Kampusch (born 17 February 1988) is an Austrian author and former talk show host.
Early life[edit]
Kampusch was raised by her mother, Brigitta Sirny (née Kampusch), and her father, Ludwig Koch, in Vienna. Kampusch's family included two adult sisters, and five nieces and nephews. Sirny and Koch separated while Kampusch was still a child and divorced after her abduction. Kampusch spent time with both of them, and had returned to her mother's home from a holiday with Koch the day before her kidnapping.[1][2] At the time of her abduction, she was a student at the Brioschiweg primary school.[3]
Controversy[edit]
Ludwig Adamovich, head of a special commission looking into possible police failures in the investigation of the kidnapping, claimed that the time Kampusch was imprisoned "was always better than what she had known until then".[4] This assessment was denied by Brigitta Sirny, and Adamovich's statement was found to be defamatory by a criminal court, and he was fined €10,000.[5] In Kampusch's 2010 book about her kidnapping, 3,096 Days, she stated that her parents slapped her, and that she was considering suicide on the day of her abduction.[6] However, Kampusch asserted that her mother was not abusive and that her home life was better than life in captivity.[6]
Abduction[edit]
The 10-year-old Kampusch left her family's residence in Vienna's Donaustadt district on the morning of 2 March 1998, but failed to arrive at school or come home. He stated that he was alone at home on the morning of the kidnapping, and the police were satisfied with his explanation that he was using the minibus to transport rubble from the construction of his home.[12]
Speculations arose of child pornography rings or organ theft,[13] leading officials to also investigate possible links to the crimes of French serial killer Michel Fourniret.[14] Kampusch had carried her passport with her when she left, as she had been on a family trip to Hungary a few days before, so the police extended the search abroad. Accusations against Kampusch's family complicated the issue even more.[15]
Captivity[edit]
During the eight years of her captivity, Kampusch was held in a small cellar underneath Přiklopil's garage.
She initially denied that they had made the trip, but eventually admitted that it was true, although she said that she had no chance to escape during that time.[21]
According to Kampusch's official statement after her escape, Přiklopil and she would get up early each morning to have breakfast together. Přiklopil gave her books, so she educated herself. She did not feel that she had missed anything during her imprisonment, but she noted, "I spared myself many things, I did not start smoking or drinking and I did not hang out in bad company", but she also said, "It was a place to despair".[22] She was given a television and radio to pass the time, although she was initially only allowed to watch taped programs and listen to foreign radio stations so that she would not be aware of the publicised search for her.[23] At one point, she tried to escape by jumping out of a car.[22]
A large portion of Kampusch's time upstairs was spent doing housework[24] for Přiklopil and cooking for him.[23] Dietmar Ecker, Kampusch's media advisor, said that Přiklopil "would beat her so badly that she could hardly walk".[25] Přiklopil would starve her to make her physically weak and unable to escape.[23] Kampusch was also raped by Přiklopil.[26][27]
Přiklopil had warned Kampusch that the doors and windows of the house were booby-trapped with high explosives. He also claimed to be carrying a gun and that he would kill her and the neighbors if she attempted to escape.[28] Nevertheless, Kampusch on one occasion fantasized about chopping his head off with an axe, although she quickly dismissed the idea.[29] She also attempted to make noise during her early years of captivity by throwing bottles of water against the walls.[29] She said that on trips out with Přiklopil, she had attempted to attract attention, but in vain.[29]
Escape[edit]
The 18-year-old Kampusch escaped from Přiklopil's house on 23 August 2006.
Kidnapper[edit]
Wolfgang Přiklopil ([ˈvɔlfɡaŋ ˈpr̝ɪklopɪl]; 14 May 1962 - 23 August 2006) was an Austrian communications technician of Czech origin.
He had apparently planned to end his own life rather than be caught, having told Kampusch, "they would not catch him alive".[36]
Evidence recovery was complicated, as Přiklopil's only computer was a 1980s Commodore 64, which is incompatible with modern-day data-recovery programs.[37] Before Kampusch escaped, Přiklopil was trying to procure false papers as a Czech citizen to "begin a new life" with Kampusch.[38]
Aftermath[edit]
In her official statement, Kampusch said, "I don't want and will not answer any questions about personal or intimate details".[39] After Kampusch's escape, police investigated whether Přiklopil had an accomplice,[40] but they eventually determined that he acted alone.[41]
Kampusch sympathized with her captor in the documentary Natascha Kampusch: 3096 days in captivity. She said, "I feel more and more sorry for him - he's a poor soul".[42] According to police, she "cried inconsolably" when she was told that he was dead,[43] and she lit a candle for him at the morgue.[44] She has, however, referred to her captor as a "criminal".[45]
Newspapers quoting unnamed psychologists suggested that Kampusch might suffer from Stockholm syndrome,[46][47] but Kampusch says that this is not the case. She suggests that people who use this term about her are disrespectful of her and do not allow her the right to describe and analyze the complex relationship that she had with her kidnapper in her own words.
Interviews[edit]
After reportedly "hundreds of requests for an interview" with the teenager, "with media outlets offering vast sums of money", Kampusch was interviewed by Austrian public broadcaster ORF.
Poor girl I can’t even imagine how scared she was and how much she wanted to scream
I could tell she was trying to play it safe with safety tips or sum first
Me : OMG ABBY FROM GINNY AND GEORIGA
If you’re ever in this position never stay quiet. Scream as loud as you can, try running away and start screaming your name and the word fire. If they are ready to shoot you in broad daylight or anywhere where others can hear you than they’ll do worse things to you if you are at a different place.
I would rather want to die in that moment than being held hostage for multiple years
I agree on all of this bro.
I agree besides most of the time I doubt their goal is to kill you instantly.. it's possible they could just leave the scene if you get someone's attention
if anyone ever asks if your parents are home always say yes.
I love this actor, Katie Douglases acting was so good
Ok but why would she tell a random dude that their was no one home, getting kidnapped 101
Fr
OMG ITS ABBY FROM GINNY AND GEROGIA
that’s why i don’t ever speak to strangers or even people in my neighborhood unless i know them decently enough and i immediately run inside if i see a random person pulling up near my house if im alone outside without my friends or parents
Bro walked straight into that.
I remember a case just like this
A girl was outside her or her friends home and a man piulled up offering to sell magazines.
TRUE STORY ? Dang whatever happened to the girl is she ok now
@@R-0-S-E she became a police officer. Her name is Kara Robson and her kidnapper turned out to be a serial killer. I’m pretty sure this movie is about her, she was abducted EXACTLY the same way.
*Kara Robinson
Wow.
If someone asks if your parents are home, what you say is yeah my dad is about to come out here and help me start the lawnmower so that they know that a man is gonna come out there soon.
