- I'm in my pajamas here because I literally woke up with this song rolling around my head and I had to get it out! It's just so pretty. My friend Larry Smith plays and sings it beautifully and this was my first attempt. What a great song!

I don't know Different Drum, I'll have to look it up. This is my Gretsch G3100, it's a vintage look because it's part of their historic series. I love it, a gift from my husband about 22 years ago!
@@TaraDunphy Different Drum is another Mike Nesmith tune. It was a very nice hit for Linda Ronstadt and the Stone Poneys in 1967.

I actually like it a faster pace - I learned this song from another musician and I found the original to be too slow for my taste. It's not for everyone, but I like it this way :)
@@TaraDunphy .. It is a fabulous song. Written by former monkey Michael Nesmith. I hated the monkeys. The monkeys damaged the integrity of recorded music. They were a TV show. The song was released in 1970. I stumbled upon the song years after the release. Michael was a true artist, not a TV show monkey. Anyhow, just my take.
